Re: Time to be cautious: Everyone is not market expert
by

The cryptocurrency bull market has evolved significantly since it first began, making it increasingly challenging to predict its behavior each year. The current difficulty lies in holding altcoins against Bitcoin, as there are risks in both the short and long term whether it’s exiting too early or getting caught in a bull trap

If you go for the spot it's not that bad actually, you just need to bear in mind that your bags are down quite a bit during a big period of time Grin Then it's green or more time is needed. You just need to wait out the storm and see BTC on the rise.
Spot trading might look promising lately, but I still think it’s too early to say whether it’s better than holding when the market suddenly shifts. My approach to long-term holding involves entering the altcoin season once Bitcoin hits a new all-time high and goes parabolic. I don’t hold indefinitely.

Re: I've Been Wasting My Time With Bitcoin
by

I never knew the real money was in altcoins and shitcoins. Bitcoin is simply for rich investors. If you're just starting out in cryptocurrency investing, it's best to ignore Bitcoin and the hype it receives on this forum. The secret to making any money from crypto is NOT bitcoin. Research, test, and see for yourself.

This post isn't something Bitcoin maximalists will want to hear they are likely to be very upset with you. The irony is that there are very few genuine Bitcoin maximalists out there. The so-called Bitcoin maximalist movement on social media is mostly a tactic to discourage and distract people from gaining a solid stake in altcoins while they secretly accumulate them, planning to bull trap smaller investors. However, once this bull market ends, you should watch for Bitcoin's dip and find a good entry point, as that will be the best time to invest not now.

I don't believe anyone is advocating for more or prolonged conflict, but it's clear that Russia's attempts to cause global unrest aren't succeeding in this era. We're beyond the days of oppression; every individual and nation deserves their freedom. It's unfortunate that rival powers like China couldn't help Russia achieve its goals. Regardless, we should not celebrate war. let's focus on discussing peace and how we can achieve it

I usually browse the forum on my laptop due to an eye defect that makes it hard for me to see clearly. Despite this, I find Bitcointalk to be one of the lightest webpages I visit, even with its large number of users. This is likely because the forum mainly focuses on text posts, with few images and no video or audio content. The website’s simple color scheme of black, light blue, and white also adds to its user-friendly design

Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025

Manchester City typically doesn’t start the season strong, and when they do, they often dominate the league too early. Guardiola has mentioned the challenge of maintaining motivation to pursue the title at the start of the season. Unfortunately, the other teams aren’t putting up much of a fight against Man City. If this trend continues, the Premier League might as well declare the title decided at the start of the season.

Re: How has this bad economic affected marriage ?
by

I wish the OP would publicly mention the country he/she is chatting from because the cost of living varies significantly across different countries. Some first-world nations are taking substantial measures to lessen the impact on their citizens. In certain countries, marriage is generously rewarded, and having children comes with added benefits like paid maternity leave, free medical care, and government-provided child support for the first year. Unfortunately, many African countries suffer from poor leadership, and the consequences of this neglect are overwhelming.

by

I believe the bullish momentum should begin this year. Sentiment plays a crucial role during a bullish season, and if this market downturn drags on much longer, it could negatively impact traders, trading volume, and overall market sentiment. The recent pump is pivotal and essential for supporting the upward trend

Bitcoin is undeniably the leading cryptocurrency. You've touched on its blockchain strength and mentioned a bit about its tokenomics. It dominates the market and carries the lowest risk for holding. However, when it comes to ROI, it's primarily beneficial for the very wealthy a 2x return over 1-2 years is substantial for a billionaire.

IMHO, focus first with the process rather than the tokenization. You can easily do the tokenization once your process is already built and stable. Whilst for the tokenization, you can inform your users or customers that you have to adjust as there's another development coming from your team a
nd that's the tokenization.
You're expressing exactly what I'm thinking. It’s clear that you’re as invested in the success of this idea as I’ve been for years. Unfortunately, most projects in this space have either failed or turned out to be scams. I firmly believe in the potential of real estate, especially when combined with digital business, as it could allow anyone to invest globally. I’m hopeful that it can work. Just one successful breakthrough, free from money laundering, could validate the entire concept.

Re: Poor self-control comes from intellectual limitations
by

We should consider how intelligence and academic brilliance influence addiction to gambling. Although academic brilliance and intelligence are distinct concepts, a debate for another time.I believe intelligence plays a crucial role in self-control. I've never seen an intelligent person who lacks self-control; they understand when to stop. Gambling appeals to a heightened reward system that impacts emotional intelligence, and I find it hard to believe that true intelligence can coexist with a gambling addiction

"I have a strong feeling that cryptocurrency is here to stay. From my experience with the global economy, when a market shows signs of corruption, they don’t typically eliminate it; instead, they work to regulate it. With over $30 billion in trading volume, jobs, businesses, and tax contributions tied to this market, economists in first-world countries likely view it differently than some might expect."

Re: Hedging vs stop loss order (A more risk management strategy)
by
royalfestus
on 27/08/2024, 21:58:08 UTC
Experienced traders will tell you that what you referred to as hedging is not part of risk management. Instead of hedging, why not just close the position instead. If you have been trading and have experience about trading, you will understand how useless hedging is.
Hedging can be a valuable strategy early in a bull market, especially now when Bitcoin's returns aren't as parabolic as they once were and when it's signaling a bull cycle and leading the market. Beyond that, I would recommend outright hedging as the more suitable approach. In this unpredictable market, no altcoin can be reliably forecasted, particularly when project teams often cycle through the market, creating, using, and then discarding projects. They then reinvest the profits from these projects into new coins to generate further returns for themselves.

Re: How do you Keep up with trading when you are feeling down?
by
royalfestus
on 27/08/2024, 21:43:57 UTC
I don't know if I understand your question very well. I mean the body of the text. However from the topic a lack of confidence could be one of the reasons for this type of feelings, also consistent losses is another reason, and other. I would suggest that when you are feeling down you could watch some trading videos of successful traders who are teaching about trading psychology, you could also listen to podcasts, read a book and another option you may do is to take some break.
It's puzzling to me how some people start a thread, make a post, and then never return. I've read through it, and I still can't grasp what the OP was trying to say. Surprisingly, the thread has grown to four pages of responses. I can't understand how people managed to keep the conversation going and generate such lengthy discussions.

Re: Owner of Telegram has been arrested recently
by

⭐ Merited by JayJuanGee (1)

When I found out that Durov's arrest was due to censorship of his app, it became clear they were likely trying to gain access to create their usual backdoor, which they claim is essential for national security. This is an ongoing issue he's faced, which even drove him out of Russia. As a longtime follower of Durov on Telegram, I've seen him openly discuss these challenges as Telegram has grown. We shouldn't just report the arrest while ignoring the motive doing so would make us complicit in the oppression he has faced.

The arrest also made it pretty clear that every other major communication platform and app we use are being spied on. There are some nice suggestions in the thread and we should try them but here is the thing:

We know bisq is a truly decentralized exchange but everybody is still using binance.
We know monero is totally anonymous but the majority of people is still using btc and doing kyc checks voluntarily. (Nothing against btc but obviously xmr is superior to btc when it comes to privacy)

I think the majority don’t really care about their privacy and the governments know that damn well. Even in this forum there are hundreds of people who are ready to sell their passport information for a few bucks probably.

"For some citizens, there's nothing left to hide—the government already has all their information. In countries like Russia, China, and North Korea, people may feel less concerned about concealing their identities, which could explain their attitudes. Major exchanges are being targeted by agencies like the FBI, which is why these platforms may be more inclined to comply with certain regulations that could restrict the listing of anonymous coins like Monero. Despite this, Monero remains actively used and traded, particularly for transactions on the darknet."

My concern with Maresca lies with the defense, particularly the full-backs, who seem to struggle with maintaining the right positions consistently. The second goal, for instance, resulted largely from Malo Gusto being out of position. I’m really hoping the coach’s plan starts to click soon, as the players are still missing it too often. Mudrik isn’t showing any improvement, and Caicedo also struggled in the match.

Re: Scammers targeting coinmarketcap users at large rate
by

Lately, scammers have been getting more creative, even using other scammers to trick people. They're asking people to connect their wallets to claim tokens or pay transaction fees to receive funds. My approach is to thoroughly investigate on social media before engaging. I check if the token is genuinely being distributed, verify the legitimacy of their followers, see how many people have claimed the tokens, and ensure the Telegram group I'm following is authentic. It's crucial to double-check any airdrops before participating.

Life happened man. Got sick in 2021 and had the open heart surgery, had to stop accepting clients and take care of myself for awhile. Now, while not in perfect health, I am in a place where I can start taking on some clients and get back to what people on this forum know me for.

It's great to hear that you're doing better! It can be surprising to learn about the challenges people face beyond the internet. I wish you a full recovery and hope you can rest when needed don't push yourself too hard. Thankfully, the crypto market hasn't been at its peak lately, so there's still time for everyone to gain something from the space in both the altcoin and Bitcoin bull markets.
