Hello all,

Last week, as many know, Bitmain put more miners up for sale. I bought 1 S9k that said would take delivery 7 days after payment.
Friday I recieved this email from Bitmain.

Quote from: Bitmain
Dear Customer,
Thank you very much for purchasing Antminer S9k-13.5T.
However, apologies to let you know that some mistake happens from our end which led to S9k-13.5T products in your Order 0012019072401089 can not be shipped out in time. Here are two choices from us for you:
Option 1: we will send out S9j-14.5T to replace S9k-13.5T; No need for you to pay the price difference.
Option 2: cancel the order and refund or reserve your payment as credit for your future purchase.
Appreciated for your understanding. Looking forward to your quick response.

I am also due to receive 2 S9k's in August. Unknown if they will be ready for shipping.

Thought some people might find this info interesting

Miners are up boys and girls!! They have been up for about 8 minutes! Wont last much longer!

Bitmain obviously...... but I thought I should edit it in...

considering they're 30% more expensive than yesterday's batch in BCH terms, they should last

Yeah, Good Point! I bought 3 yesterday and 4 last week. Got lucky considering the plunge today.

Thank you CobraMining! Your block cracking ability has pulled us up from the abyss!
Much respect to you for not abandoning this wonderful pool.

Thank you, Master Kano (pronounced "Kah-no"), for all your hard work and for keeping us informed. While I do not pretend to understand the code you write, I enjoy seeing those snippets. Clean and elegant.
Much respect to you for everything you do and for your unbending integrity.

Thank you all my fellow miners who have hung in there. Mine on!

I endorse this post! MINE ON! Put blinders on if you have too! Never lose faith in Kanosan!

We got 2 and a controller. This will be our 1st Canann miner's. I'm excited to see how they perform. We have only had S9's they out of the ones we have, half of them have been sent back for repairs in 6 months.

Funny, same here. I got 2 and a controller to test out. I got tired of trying to buy another s9 right now.

I snagged 8 S9's before Bitmain went on hiatus, but I'm not getting them till December.
I agree with you tho. It has been a pain in the a** to get S9's lately.
So, I got these 2 Avalon's to test out and to bump up our hash rate before the S9's get in.
Gotta keep pace with the Pool!

The page I see indicates 12 EST?

I wish everyone would stop using three letter time zones when referring to a future time in the current savings/standard time, as it only confuses things.  ET should be good enough.

I'm pretty sure it's daylight savings time now....  and last time they said 12 EST sales started at 9 PT, so I think they mean EDT.

Or perhaps I'm all confused.

Yeah, I meant 11 Central Standard Time (Chicago, US). Cause that's where I am, I edited it. Thanks

My experience with sending machines to Bitmain for (under warranty) repair has been very commendable.
Unfortunately, I have had to send in 4 machines up to this point. Also, I am not sending them to China. If you are in the US, you send
them to LA. They test the machine the day they receive it, confirm that it does indeed have a problem. They process it w/ China and I usually
receive a repaired machine within 3 business days. It does kinda irk me that I send in a new machine for repair and usually receive a clearly used sometimes
dirty, visible ware on the outside, machine back. However, as long as it works, I can live with that. Does Bitmain repair machines that are out of warranty?

Bitmain Warranty is a different story......

6 weeks ago I sent in 3 hashing boards for a S7. I never got notified that they received until I emailed them 2 weeks later. I have never got any kinda update about my
boards whether they have been looked at/repair/repairable/paperweights/etc. I emailed them last Friday. They responded that they have not been able to repair them
and that this week they were gonna give it another try. You can never get them on the phone, the experience just kinda makes me think that they get there stock from
people that send stuff to them and "they can't repair it", then stock shows up on their website for sale. Maybe not. Maybe they will actually email me back sometime. And if
they are unrepairable they will actually mail them back to me, only time will tell.

Anyway, that is my experience with the 2 repair services.

Now I'm gonna go do a Block dance out in the garage. I hope it helps.

Yes,

I only have 3 gpu's on in it now....

MSI GTX 1070 8BG
PNY GTX 1060 3GB
Zotac GTX 1060 6GB Mini

I am defiantly going to add more GPUS at some point.
I even have another Motherboard coming in this week to build a second rig.
But that is in the future maybe early next year.

Just got it up and running this is what I'm doing right now...
Nothing is overclocked. Dunno about all that stuff.

GPU0: 448 Sol/s GPU1: 268 Sol/s GPU2: 292 Sol/s
Total speed: 1008 Sol/s

Nice, but you have to add more cards so to increase your hashrate.
Have you checked the power consumption of your rig at the wall plug?

If not, you have to do it for you to know if you have "spare space" of power for adding a 4th card

No, I have a Watt Meter ordered, it should be here in 1 or 2 days.
I would think I could get 4 on there with the 1200w PSU. If not i can just add another small one.

Hi all!

I have the rig finally up and running!! Thanks for everyone's input and help.

I ended up disconnecting everything and clearing the CMOS again.

Put everything back together and started right up.

Once again. Thank you to all who provided tips and guidance.

Best Regards and Happy Mining

I'm not sure by that statement if it did boot with just the integrated graphics or if it has not booted with either integrated or dedicated graphics?  In either case, try to clear the CMOS (you can remove the battery for 30 seconds if that's easiest) and double check all your cables as well.

My apologies if it was not clear. It didn't boot with either the on board graphics or dedicated gpu's.
I have double check my cables about six times, I'm making myself crazy!
I also tried your tip with the CMOS, However, the problem still persists.

I appreciate the help anyho!  Grin

Just put a single video card in the system.  Don't use a riser.

I tried that and never got a signal either.

No luck.

I unplugged all cards and booted up with just the on board vga

I used 1 card in the PCIe 16x port with a riser and with the actual card in the port.

Still nothing on the boot up.

Have you tried reseating the CPU?

Struck Out Again  Huh
