To Our Valued SLX Community,

We have drafted this response in order to make clear that the claims made in this thread are categorically false. Accordingly, in October of 2018, our law firm, Miller Thomson LLP, issued a Cease and Desist letter to the individual responsible for these defamatory statements. Consequently, there have been no further posts.

(a copy of the Cease and Desist letter is available upon request at pr@slate.io).

Additionally, we contacted Bitcointalk.org to request they remove this spurious post on the basis it is both libelous and in contravention of their established Standard of Conduct. Unfortunately, we have yet to receive a reply.

Slate is built on transparency, accountability and integrity – precisely why we chose to operate on the blockchain - and we will not tolerate any statements, allegations or communications which remotely call into question these founding principles.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Team Slate

Please use the scam reporting format. Making unsubstantiated allegations is not "proof" or helpful. If you have evidence you should state it.

There are a number of false and poor quality accusations that make it harder for people to distinguish facts from fiction.

Scam Report Format

Code:
[b][color=black]What happened:: [/color][/b]

Copy and paste it in new thread then fill all data.

Scam report example:

What happened::
I saw escrow.ms's lolipop thread 4 days ago and placed a order for 1000 lolipops. After I sent him payment, he just went offline and never came back. I think he's a big liar and a scam artist. Stay away from him.

Thank.

Re: Is it safe to reuse a hacked exchange wallet account?
by
slate_main

I would question the exchange and my own security is strong, if you still want to continue to use exchange (and your security was strong), then make a new clean account and have less holdings there in the future.

Re: ERROR WITH RESETTING 2FA
by

Your best option is to contact blockchain.info support and ask them for assistance. If you are getting an error like that, it sounds like you have the email address wrong, or b.info's system is broken. They are the only ones who can figure out which and help you sort this issue.

Contacted blockchain.info. Its 24 hours now no reply
I hope i will get reply soon.

Not that is is a matter here, but is is important to have the correct time set of your computer or 2fa device. Just a sidenote as many have failed on.

Re: Which online wallet for bitcoin is safer?
by
slate_main
on 30/11/2017, 20:43:45 UTC
Nope, no online wallet is 'safe', if you do not hold the private keys -  you do not control or own the coin.

Also, I lost an account on blockchain.info, no longer there but the BTC still shows.. another story there..

Programs such as https://github.com/matja/bitcoin-tool can bruteforce the missing characters in the private key.
If it's only two of them, it'd take less than a minute.

Yes, you can either manually go through the letters or use a brute force method, should be very quick with only two characters to find.

i have checked my address using a online checker, and made 3 different wallets but none of my addresses work on theblockfactory website.
If a website doesn't work, don't use that website. There are enough block explorers around.

my address: 1KhuxmYR52EE7E9ff86K6447ZojEXX4QJ3
The address is correct. Check again.

https://blockchain.info/ is the defacto standard, blockchains need wallets with good node connections to survive and propagate, without these, or if on a shady connection, performance is affected of course...

Re: Is it possible to recover bitcoin from a wiped hard drive?
by
slate_main
on 30/11/2017, 20:36:28 UTC
Data recovery is quite easy using GetBackData NTFS, as long as the hard drive have not been further messed with, the file system and files are still on the drive, just the first character removed and so is 'invisible' to top layer.

It is a fun thing to do actually, recovering your data, and hopefully your BTC.. I have recovered using this and some other methods many time, good luck with the recovery, message me if you need assistance.

Re: Bit Coin is a Ponzi Scheme
by
slate_main
on 27/11/2017, 10:56:40 UTC
Bit coin is a Ponzi scheme. Don't listen to the bit coin shills on here. The newcomers buying into bit coin and driving up the price are just making the early adopters richer.

That's how stupid people are. A sucker is born every minute. But YOU don't have to be one like all the other bit coiners.

The USD is a valid currency because people are required by law to recognize it's value. It has value because the most powerful superpower on the face of the Earth uses it and backs it.

Where does bit coin get its value from? Some computer nerds living in their mothers' basements and Chinese speculators who say it has value? The few online drug dealers who accept it?

If you can't figure out that buying into a totally faith-based economy, with no regulation whatsoever, of a imaginary currency that only exists virtually, through a broker that has no compelling reason to give you any of your money back other than possible negative word-of-mouth, is a bad idea, then maybe you should really consider spending less time speculating on BTC and more time getting remedial education.

Hahahaha, this is a joke right? Maybe you lost out and am bitter but you want to rely on USD, a hyperinflationary ponzi, because it is law.. BTC is capped, as are other digital coins, the US FED and printing Billions of new notes yearly, what bulk this up, there is no gold reserve (anymore) dun dun dun... and the law abiding politicians... Go collect your paper money, we'll still be here.

Oh, and I live above ground  Cool

If you goto a regular fiat currency exchange, there are some main contenders, USB, GBP, YEN and EUR - this is after a long time of the monetary system being introduced, the cryptoworld we live in moves so quickly that I feel there will be some main contenders in the not too distant future, maybe these are BTC, ETH, XMR, WAVES and some hotly developed Altcoins - what do you think should be on the list?

Newtons law and all that... Sometimes you can hold the most shittiest of shitcoins in the hope, and sometime reality that they will climb or even go back 'up' from where they were all. Get a feeling for the markets and good coins, don't just randomly buy crap or you deserve to lose out.
