Hi Patrike,

I am getting a similar issue as well, one of my miners is mining RVN but shows MANO in the Miners - Coins column, another miner is mining TUBE but shows XTL in the Miners - Coins column (both are previous coins i mined with those miners).

Awesome Miner Version 5.3.5 (Development preview of 5.4)

Patrike,

There is a weird bug in Miners tab.
Profit mining works well and select the good pool/coin, API access is OK, but reported pool and coin is stuck on an previous pool.
Result is a insane Profit of $12000 for a single gtx 1070 Smiley

Tell me if you need a screenshot or my xml file

Hi all,

I was going to mail Patrike today but i am having the same issue with my Nvidia miners where T-rex miner wont show temps on one of my miners. There also appear to be issue with stopping and restarting the miner when it freezes (which it does sometimes on one of my other rigs, it seems that the rule to restart after 2 minutes of no additional accepts doesnt kick off or cant restart the miner.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/p9bgn57y059huto/Captura%20de%20pantalla%202018-07-26%20a%20las%204.43.50.png?dl=0

I'm surprised that nobody has reported this.

Some rigs using t-rex do not show the temperature information of the GPUs. In the capture all the rigs use t-rex at that moment, but I always have 2 that never show the temperature.

A plate is old but the rig 5 is a modern z270. But as far as I know, the temperature issue reacts on the remote aftherburner.
I read something in the T-rex forum about this same error.

Hi Patrike,

I know that you are dealing with many different threads but was wondering if you had any thoughts on the below?

Thanks

Hi Patrike,

I have 2 (hopefully easy to impliment) features requests that I believe will add some value to AM:

1: Options -> GPU clocking - it would be nice for GPU profiles that arent used in any Profit Profiles be flagged or highlighted, this will make it easy to be able to clean up any un-used GPU profiles.

2: Coin View - Revenue / Profit column, I would like either an extra column or the ability to sort by profit instead of revenue.  I have 1070 and 1070 ti rigs with highly efficient clocking profiles where the revenue on a coin might seem low compared to other coins yet it is the most profitable due to efficient electrical usage.  The sort by profit feature would make quick to get the necessary information vs checking down the list coin by coin.  Currently my most profitable coin is on page 2 of scrolling down the coins list (as an example)

I hope that these aren't biggies to implement and hope that you see the value in this.
Hi and sorry for not getting back to you on this one.

Both points you make are good. For #2 I've had some similar requests and I think the way forward here is to split Revenue and Profit into two columns just like it is for the Online Services tab. Then you can sort on the column you want. I would almost consider it a fault that the Coins tab not already behave like the Online Services tab in this sense - so you can expect a change soon.

Moppidoo and Puwaha!

Comments / advice you made on this forum over the last few weeks/months to other peeps opened up the doors for me to learn better mining techniques and learn alot more about mining in general. This has led to more profitable, cooler better, self managed mining rigs.

I just wanted to say thanks for being helpful, in the background you have really been helpful!

Hello Patrike,

I had a rig that for some reason can not upgrade to the 4.7.3 remote service.  It can't be uninstalled manually because it says it's not installed... though it's still running, AM can't control the rig.  I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling both services with the Remote Service Configuration tool, but that doesn't seem to do any good.  When I try to manually install the new 4.7.3 MSI it says it can't find a noteservice.msi to complete the uninstallation of the old 4.7.2 service.  I've look on my other rigs that did upgrade successfully, but this MSI is no where to be found.

Are there any manual steps to uninstallation/cleanup of the remote service from a rig so I can start fresh?
Hi,

Please check out this tool from Microsoft that can be used when a MSI-based installer isn't behaving as it should - and this can be used to force a removal:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed

Hello Patrike,

That fixed it so I could install the 4.7.3 remote service.  I had to give it the option to not stop the services and reboot, as the first attempt to stop the services failed again after running that Microsoft tool.  After the successful install of the remote service, I still couldn't couldn't control the rig... ran diagnostics and it said that it couldn't find the mining software.  So I went back to the rig to reset the folders in Windows Defender... I've had to do this before.  Weird thing was that Defender wasn't running.  It wouldn't start either.  I had to go into the registry to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender key... and turn Defender back by changing DisableAntiSpyware to 0

Then I could reset the folders for Defender to ignore with AM... and now it works.

Strange circumstances, but thanks to your help it's resolved now.  Just posting this information in case other run into this situation with the Remote Service or Windows Defender.

Hi Puwaha

I had this issue as well a few versions back and manually copied the upgraded files from a working PC into the non working PC program files / AM service directory.  The PC with the above issue needed a Windows re-install anyways it was an excuse to do this which of course was a very round about way to resolve the issue (which it did). It is interesting to see that others (I recall someone else reporting this awhile back) have had this issue as well.

On another note I really liked your instructions from awhile back on using AM rules and IFTTT for my HS-110 smart plugs, my machines restart perfectly on a hard freeze thanks to you!

Hi Patrike,

For those of us that have filled out electrical costs and watts per algo/rig would it be possible to add an estimated overall daily/monthly electrical amount for all my rigs on the dashboard (or wherever makes sense)?  The information is already there in Awesome Miner within the Online Services where I manually look at the difference between revenue and profit which I add manually across the rigs, but an automated way or checking this in realtime would be ideal.

I added BlazePool algos to Options - Online Services - User defined online services and its working well for profit switching however there are some improvements that can be made here.
- Firstly in Options - Profit Switching there isnt a way to enable and disable only using the services setup in User defined online services, currently i enable Nicehash but manually exclude each Nicehash aogo from the Online Services - Predefined online services section for it to just focus on the User defined online services
- The Predefined online services allow for bulk editing whereas the User defined online services dont allow for this, can this be added please?
- When algos are added to the User defined online services section, does AM benchmarking include/look at algos that have been setup in that section?

Thanks Moppidoo, very relevant feedback and thanks for the further clarifications.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the update!

Regarding the new rule: New rule trigger for miner revenue and profit levels
Its quite a simple rule to setup and I setup a rule for profit (and later revenue) where the miner stops mining when the profit is less 5 South African Rand (then I later put in 500 South African Rand to test this), the time was set to 5 seconds to stop the miner. Unfortunately the rule wouldnt trigger on any of my miners but did work when I manually ran the rule.
If the above rule worked would it also start the miner automatically when the miner is above the profit or revenue threshold specified or do I need to setup an additional rule to start the miner after X amount of profit or revenue?

@Smartieee, I believe the  rule only looks at the current miner's profit/revenue per day in action! rather than the overall profile and periodic calculated overall profit rank, thus right at this moment, it probably doesn't do the auto starting since once your miner stopped, it probably will not be monitored by the rule when idle. I'm pretty sure Patrike can gradually expand this function further in future releases upon how useful ppl find the function to be for them and giving feedback and ideas. Right now for starters, it is already showing signs of great improvement with the first release of the feature.

Also the other day I wrote:

I am one of those snobs that has AM setup in my lounge PC with 150% display scaling on my monitor. The options screen is cut-off from the bottom so I cant click "OK" without lowering the display scaling specifically for AM before putting it back to 150%.  I understand that this is an edge case but maybe there are other users that has AM setup with non standard display scaling on their monitor.
Is this something you might be able to consider or is it too edge case/low priority/pain in the a$$?

Thanks!

hi Patrick

This is really brilliant and is already giving some interesting information, are there any plans to collect statistics for NiceHash and MiningPoolhub?

Thanks

- Adjust profit calculations for Yiimp-based pools to actual performance based on past payouts compared to estimates. Configured in Options dialog, Statistics section.
awesome!
Thanks! This feature is implemented in the Awesome Miner cloud servers, where I currently collect statistics from Zpool, Zergpool. AHashpool and HashRefinery every hour. Then it's being processed and a percentage value is calculated.

What's good is that you don't have to run your own Awesome Miner for a period of time to collect this data yourself. I can also make changes and optimizations and everyone will get it right away. Because I store the original pool statistics in the cloud all the time, any new calculations can use all old pool statistics as well.

I'm very much open to any feedback and discussions about how to improve this. At least the infrastructure for the feature is in place now.

Hi Patrick,

1: Great thanks! sometimes the simple to implement features do make a difference.

2: I missed the options within the properties of the Profit Profile for each algorithm, I see it now and would agree that this is sufficient.

3: A rules based solution would also be viable, either way as long as there are rules or options for a miner/profit profile/group to idle or mine based on profit information from WhattoMine or CoinWarz then I think that this will increase the value proposition for the AM product and allow for an additional dimension of making profits.

New one:
4: One of my pet peeves with AM is the options screen fixed size.  I see that you made the benchmarks screen where the screen size could be adjusted with the mouse.  Would it be possible to do the same with the options screen and also add if you double click on the header/title panel of that screen it expands to fill the available space on a monitor?
I am one of those snobs that has AM setup in my lounge PC with 300% display scaling on my monitor. The options screen is cut-off from the bottom so I cant click "OK" without lowering the display scaling specifically for AM before putting it back to 300%.  I understand that this is an edge case but maybe there are others that has AM setup with non standard display scaling on their monitor.

Thanks for taking the time!

Hello Patrick,

I've been using AM for several months and have been loving it. Even though I am really enjoying using it there are a couple of thoughts that you might be able to assist with:

1: In Profit Profile - Customize (where all the algos are listed) can a select/un-select all button be added? When i'm testing overclocking and command line parameters for one algo its a pain to manually one by one select and un-select all but one.

2. There was a suggestion earlier in the thread related to the new fastest miner per algo benchmarking feature where it was suggested that there is a "column in which we can click (select) the miner we use as default for each algorithm once the benchmarks have been made"
Currently the UI around doing this within Options - Managed Software isn't ideal so creating this change will vastly improve the ease in setting the default miner for a selected algo per profit profile (I personally get quite confused in the Options - Managed Software - Defaults part of AM).

3: Given that mining has been less profitable of late with the drop on value of Crypto would it be possible to add the ability per profit profile or miner where if the profit per day for my miner/profit profile is less than X amount AM will tell the miner to stop mining (PC on but idle), then when the profit per day is above X amount to resume mining again? This way we can get the best "profit" between mining and electrical cost savings.

Thanks for taking your time to read this, I have spent alot of time optimizing my miners with custom settings per algo per miner with the relevant power information to get very accurate profit information and the feedback comes after days of playing around with this :>
1) I will add buttons for select all/none in the next release

2) The current behavior could possible be improved, but let's discuss this with a specific example. You check and benchmark Ccminer and Ccminer-KlausT with X11, and they get 8MH/s and 5MH/s. If you click Save, Awesome Miner will simply look at which software was fastest on X11, and it will store "Ccminer" as the mining software and 8MH/s as the hashrate for X11 in the benchmarked profile. If you open the Properties of this Profit Profile, this should be possible to verify.

If you instead uncheck Ccminer X11 after the benchmark and click save, Awesome Miner will save Ccminer-KlausT with 5MH/s to the Profit Profile.

If you manually want to select between Ccminer and Ccminer-KlaustT, this can be configured directly in the Properties of the Profit Profile for each algorithm.

3) I've been thinking of adding rule triggers based on Revenue and Profit. I think that would be a flexible way that would allow you to define what to do (for example Stop Miner) if the profit goes below 0 for example.

Thanks!

Thanks, this should resolve my issue as well.

BUG: Not sure what causes it, but sometimes the Awesome Miner Remote Agent randomly toggles the 'Automatically start when windows starts' option.

FEATURE REQUEST: If the Awesome Miner Remote Agent application is running, don't run another instance (and by extension, another duplicate mining instance).

The issue this comes from is that I have a script set to run various tools and other monitoring software prior to launching the Awesome Miner Remote Agent.  With both of the above issues, the Agent would launch preemptively, as well as twice.  This wasn't related to any software updates, and would sometimes re-enable itself right after I turned auto-launching off and rebooted the computer, but other times it would stay off.  The frequency of this occurring was directly proportional to how likely it was for me to walk out the door. /s
I've not been able to reproduce the autostart issue. If you or anyone else figure out more details about this, please let me know.

I've implemented the change for Remote Agent to enforce a single application instance, to prevent any second instance of the application to start.

Please note that you also have a feature in Awesome Miner where you can delay the autostart of miners. In Options dialog, Advanced section you can for example specify that the Managed Miner autostart shouldn't happen until after 60 seconds for example.

I can verify that I am getting this bug as well, its causing conflict with Task Scheduler starting the Awesome Miner Agent on a 30 second delay as its now opening the one agent automatically and then the second after 30 seconds which then opens 2 miners which crashes the rig.
If this can be fixed or even better an option be added to the agent to allow for a delayed start it would be appreciated.  The delayed start allows windows to settle before a miner opens with custom overclocking command parameters (in my case on a 10 GPU rig).  Without the delayed start the miner opens and mines with the overclock settings not set.

Hi Patrik, thanks for adding the ZAR currency, it has been very helpful.

1. Even though I am enjoying the app I sometimes have difficulty as I am using Awesome Miner on my main PC in the lounge to UHD TV, because of the lounge setup I have to use a high scaling option than vs default windows 10 scaling.  When using higher scaling sometimes menus are cut off at the bottom depending on which screen I am navigating to. For example I click on options and the "Ok" or "Cancel" is hidden behind the task bar at the bottom which means I have to temporarily lower the scaling to use Awesome Miner vs there being a scroll bar when the menu doesn't have enough space for the screen to help cater for different users setup/scaling.

Is a solution to this something that can be added to the backlog for a future release?

2. I have multi profit miners setup, they mine between Zpool and The Pool Hub, can someone please let me know what setting or Rule I can setup where in the case of Zpool servers going down it wont try to connect to zpool continuously (which stops mining) but after X number of attempts where I cant connect to Zpool servers it switches to The Pool Hub or whatever other available pool I have enabled within the pool switching profile.

Thanks

Hi guys,

I'm getting this issue as well, Cast XMR is listed on the Managed Software section but not selectable within the Profit Profiles

Thanks

Awesome Miner version 4.2.4

- Cast XMR miner supported as Managed Miner
- New settings for wait time before terminating mining software and delay for auto starting miners on bootup
- Command line and custom exe-file configurable per Managed Profit Miner
- "Remove miner" added to context menu in miner list
- South African Rand added as display currency
- E-mail configuration includes a button for sending a test message
- Disabled Blake2b (sia) on Ccminer
- Correction to Wallet balance list
- Correction to benchmarking
I love you patrike thanks so much for this update

I just have one question, I see cast-xmr in "managed miners" but I can't select it in my profit profiles, how do I make my miners use it for cryptonight?

Hello,

Would it be possible to support the ZAR currency (South African Rand) in Awesome Miner? Mining is quite popular here so I think there would be a solid base of people that would benefit from this.

works ok, to me

Works for me as well, so far no freezes (I would have had a freeze by now with 17.10.2 and Win10 FCU).
