I am using 2 fantac fans on top, they have the same air throughput as the original one. The bottom one is also a fantac

Hi,
I am selling my 2 HEX Asic Miners, each 260Gh/s with a single Rail PSU. I added silent fans to the system instead of industrial noisy fans. I operate the miners in my living room, so the noise level is pretty low.
Miners are in Vienna Austria. Shipping to EU Countries possible.
Price: 550 per miner.
best regards
stiffla

since the new difficulty last week or so, my hashing power has not change and my reward was between 0.015 and 0.017, but now it has decreased to 0.010 and 0.013. Does anyone have a similar issue?
The rule I use is can I keep my hand on it for 10 seconds. Are you still running them 260/1000?
Well, depends on how much pressure do I use to keep my hand on it for more than 10 seconds No, never actually tried this settings, currently running @ 230 and 950mV
I am still not sure what settings should I use, because the outside of the heatsink is still getting pretty hot und almost untouchable Nevertheless, the reduction of noise level is really tremendous, it is not louder than my notebook when it is busy doing something

Now I am getting my rewards again. Looks fine at first sight
Ok got Bad Boy on it's own PSU and TP-Link and now it's hashing! 220GH/260W Some hardware errors, that's probably the caps with bad legs. Still has green and orange light.
Bad Boy hates company! I'll try and tape out the +5V and Ground in the USB cable and see if that makes him play nice with the others!
Good to see that one is still working Gator
So I see you did add 3 arctic f9 to the good girl, right? Are they sufficient enough and not that noisy?
Did you try it and know it works? Can you touch the heatsink for 10 seconds without burning fingers? I'm guessing you will have to drop the clock/voltage a bit. How low did you go and what was the final GH? The noise blockers are not as good CFM as the one I'm going to try, 3x Arctic F9 (9 blades) 43CFM. So if yours work I have hope.
I would have gone for the Arctic F9 as well, but he already told me that the blockers are working quiet well So i will wait what the outcome is on this
In the meantime, i started my second board with a little noise test
TOP FAN = Sunon PMD1209PMB1-A(2).GN = 92mm 12V 12.5W 4900RPM 57.6dBA 120.2CFM
The thing is HUGE! Here it is next to a Hex16B!
I don't have time to mess with it today because it's valentines day and a couple of family birthdays too!
All the parts I need have arrived except the PSUs I had on back order.
I'll have to go hunting for a PSU tomorrow, can anyone confirm 850mV it runs < 264W? I might just pick up a cheap 550W 44A to tide me over. It's using 17.2W just for fans!
On a serious note guys these fans are dangerous to little fingers. Keeps kids away/get fan guards. They only cost a few dollars.
I am currently running one board with a PSU where I use 2 rails 22A each, stable for 20 hours now with 980mV.
That's was huge heatsink . Seem like use 2 different type FAN, right stiffla? Can not be sure until the parcel arrived.
yeah right, the top one is thicker and I think much louder. I have deported them now to my toilet with an slightly opened window, but they are still to loud in there . Already waiting for neighbours to complain
You should be able to stick 2x 92mm fans on top with a lower/quieter RPM in that case.
I will do that for sure, at the moment it is not bearable. two 92mm ~2000rpm on top, and the bottom one will be replaced too, just got to find the right ones
I will give it a try, thx . Friend of mine just started his HEX8A1 board successfull with Odroid
This settings are not working after ~10min, but I guess it depends on my current PSU.
I was wondering about putting a slower fan on the top of the miner and two 120mm on the sides to get an air stream. What do you guys think about this? I guess it would be much more silent than my curretn 80db
