Re: Blockchain.info not sending confirmation emails
by
theFed
on 12/04/2014, 17:27:27 UTC
I created a blockchain.info wallet one year ago in April 2013.  I have my settings configured to provide email notification upon sending or receiving BTC, just like OP's screenshot.  I've had 16 transactions sending and receiving BTC and not once have I received an email notification.   Huh

My email address is confirmed, I've checked my spam folder, I've tried switching from @yahoo.com to @gmail.com address.  I've submitted a support ticket, to which there has been no reply for 1 month.

Multiple people are experiencing this issue and there seems to be no effort by blockchain.info to fix it.

It's concerning because if this settings isn't working, then what other settings are not working?  If I tick the box to restrict the login to my IP address or to prevent login from the torr network, I fear that those settings may not be functioning properly either and my BTC is not secure on this service.  Sad

Was checking out the different subscription packages available and came across this chart which is a little wonky.  Tried three different browsers.  There are 4 key features on the left, but 5 rows on the right.  Is there a feature missing or is there an extra row?   Huh

I doubt anyone here will take any significant action.  There have been situations like this in the past... who remembers the pirateat40 (Trendon Shavers) scam?  We're coming up on the 1 year anniversary as a matter of fact.  He scammed the community for something like 500,000+ BTC. His name, address, phone, picture, and everything were posted here.  Nothing happened to him... I think one guy called his dad, but that was the worst that this community was able to muster.  Cheesy

His father is deceased, you idiot.
You should go be a retard in a different thread, perhaps this one -- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=109126.0

You should be thanking me for the DoX I provided for your dumbass.
You've straight smoked yourself stupid, kid.  I don't need your dox, I didn't get scammed.  I have nothing to thank you for except for the entertainment you provide by making an ass of yourself.  So as ya'll say in Texas, "Muchas gracias!"

Re: bitinstant- stop sending your money! post grievances here!!

I used bitinstant a couple times back in March / April and they were pulling the same stunts back then - accepting cash and not delivering the BTC for days or weeks later, all while feeding their customers BS excuses.  They really should have a banner on their website that warns new customers about the delays, but they won't put one up because they're shady like that.

Ultimately you will get your BTC, but you just have to keep riding their asses.  Keep emailing them and keep posting in the support thread here on bitcointalk a couple times per day.

Or create a post in the bitcoin section of reddit and hope it gets upvoted enough that they're publicly shamed into pushing your order through... I've seen this work at least a dozen times before.

Any update on this - anyone using it?

Hi, no update yet, I'm currently working on adding BTC-e and Bitstamp markets.
There are about 350 users by now.
I've used it a few times over the past month or so, seems to work as advertised. In fact I'm liking it quite a bit.  Definitely looking forward to that BTC-e integration.  Cool

How come this thread is spammed in every forum?

How come you don't have a real website?

How come the same 3 cronies are the first to reply in each thread, exclaiming no malware, best bot ever?

Good luck with your scam.  Wink

Then whenever you want to update go to Data > Refresh

Or use the down arrow under the Refresh button to set it to auto refresh every few minutes or refresh every time you open the spreadsheet.

Go to a blank sheet, ie. Sheet2.  On the ribbon go to Data > From Web

A small browser window will pop up. In the address bar input a site that displays the price.  Here's one that seems to work pretty well -- http://bitcoinprices.com/

Click the little yellow arrow in the top left corner, click the Import button, then when it asks for the cell just use the default (A1).

You should see the USD bid price somewhere around row 15.   Wink

Not sure where you're located or what day you're on, but they've had announcements two days in a row for separate maintenance windows.

There was an announcement near the top of their page all day today saying they will have scheduled maintenance... that might be why the site is down.

If, and that is a big if,

What he said

Why so many people are saying "IF" butterfly ever ships ? What is this uncertainty based on ?

BFL were supposed to ship their ASIC products out to customers a long time ago, I think October or November 2012 was the initial shipping date.  They've come up with countless excuses every month since then and the shipping date keeps getting pushed back another month or two.

Re: How I Lost $1500 Worth of BitCoins

Yeah... I have over 100K in a wallet that I cant get into.  I can get into the wallet I transfered them OUT of and I see the 4 transactions where they were sent to the receiving wallet....

but I cant remember the new wallets password.  When this all occurred, BTC was worth pennies.... there are 760 BTC in that damn wallet.

Sad
Fuuuuu.....

If I were in your position I would definitely buy (or build) one of these to get those BTC back:

Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support)
by
theFed
on 05/04/2013, 05:23:33 UTC
Good morning,
Reserves are up again, can you push my BTC-e order through now?
theFed...support is looking at your issue and I am hoping to have a resolution for you sometime today.  Thanks for your patience!
Sounds good, I'm really looking forward to having this thing resolved today.
BitInstant,
It's been 6 days now and no resolution yet.  I would think my so-called "support ticket" should be at the top of the list.  Let's get this fixed today please.

Now that MtGox has proven itself NOT WORTH OF BEING AN EXCHANGE, I have moved all my money over to BTC-e - Sorry to jack this thread...

But, I would like to know the process for taking money out of Dwolla --> BTC-e.   And, it seems theFed is having difficulty too.   There is no option on the BI site for BTC-e (or any other non-gox exchange)

What are we to do?

So your asking how to use BitInstant to transfer funds from Dwolla to btc-e...correct?

Yes, that is what I am asking.  I don't see an option on the Bitintant site, and theFed seems to be having problems.

I'm going to ask about our current relationship with btc-e when I go into the office later this afternoon.  I'll let you know what I find out.  I can tell you now that all on going relationships BitInstant has with these other companies is always changing and evolving just as any relationship usually does.  Smiley

Day 7 and the saga continues...
I saw my name mentioned above and thought I'd provide an update.  I'm still awaiting my funds, and admittedly loosing patience.

FYI louisBSAS... I submitted cash at CVS for a BTC-e.com deposit on Thurs morning 3/28/13.  At the time there was an option on Bit Instant for funds to be deposited into BTC-e.  This option seems to come and go from the Bit Instant site. From what I've observed it's only available for several hours each week.

On Friday Yankee (Charlie) from Bit Instant offered to move my funds to another exchange.  I told him that I did prefer BTC-e, but if it was no longer an option he could send the funds to my MtGox account instead and I provided him with my MtGox account #.  But sadly Bit Instant has failed to take any action.

Me giving Bit Instant 7 days to fix the issue has been more than generous.  After today I won't be polite about it.

I would be upset as well.  I personally only open a ticket for you fairly recently but I know you may have been dealing with this issue longer.  I will try and find out more about your situation when I head into the office in a bit.  Smiley
URSAY, what's the good news my man? Did you find out anything when you went into the office?

UPDATE:
Issue resolved. On April 5 BitInstant deposited the funds to my BTC-e account.  It took them 8 days.
