Hi,

It looks to my like the banking sector may be taking over bitcoin.
There seems to be a parallel with gold.
(you could deposit your gold, get a receipt, get gold out any time, etc)
(the exchanges let you deposit bitcoin, trade, get bitcoin out any time, etc)

Heard there is a ETF investing in bitcoin. Where there is an ETF, there may be derivatives (options, leverage).

naa, just my imagination...

It looks like coinlab.com is setting up for serious money.
They are in process of taking over the mtgox USA customers, but, trade will still happen on mtgox.
Don't know where they are in the process.

So, I am also a newbie.
I did NOT have port 8333 forwarded and the software detected an incoming transaction.
I am in the process of setting up port 8333 as forwarded.

I wonder what improves with port forwarding ? (time of detecting payments ?)
