Really looking forward to the start. I think there shouldn't be any problems to reach you min cap  . Definitely going to invest myself as I believe IoT market will be a goldmine in a few years and companies developing solutions will be making decent money. This project might be behind IOTA, but they will still be able to capture some of the market, anyway. Good luck, devs! 

Team said, they won't be competing with IOTA directly, and isn't going for $1.5B market cap. I would question any project's legitimacy who would say they could overthrow IOTA.
I still believe this project can capitalize on the market,in which IOTA maybe too troublesome for some users. I also think they can deliver some tangible product much quicker than IOTA because of its smaller scale. I'll see how the pre-sale goes

There are definitely similarities with IOTA which makes it hard for some ppl to accept it as a genuine project and instead straight up call it a scam. If it doesn't suit your portfolio, then just don't invest in it, don't need to spread FUD. Hold on to your iotas, and wait for them to skyrocket in 3-5years, hopefully.


Devs don't let these FUD'ers distract you and keep working. Let the results speak for themselves.

At first, the project may resemble IOTA in its technology, but I think Exxor can capture significant market share by pushing their product in that ''business'' sense before IOTA takes off or if ever.

Since the beginning of this ICO boom, and countless number of whitepapers/project I have seen, most of  them lack that business/selling approach which is essential part in rl business plan. When I invest in these projects I look particularly at how the product will be sold,marketed, etc. Without that,  even the best ideas will not be realized.

So in terms of this project, I am keeping it in my watchlist.  Might chip in during pre-ico just in case

This requires trust between parties, which is difficult to achieve in p2p manner. Nevertheless, different types of lending on blockchain are absolutely possible and are happening already. For example, crowd funding through ICO is a sort of lending.

I guess, it also depends on how you define the leverage. If you define the leverage as

(investment+max_debt)/investment

then yes, you have a leverage over 2x. But on other exchanges they call leverage the ratio of

max_debt/investment

And in any case, this number depends only on collateral ratio.

You are confusing yourself. Details of how you short sell your investment do not matter. Look at the end result. If you invest X, maximum you can borrow with collateral ratio of 1.75 is 1.33*X. 1.33x is your leverage, and you can't exceed this ratio no matter what you do.

... which means that you invested 0.75 BTS (1.75-1) to short 1 BTS worth of asset, which makes your leverage equal 1/0.75=1.33.

No matter what exactly you do: you may deposit 0.75 USD, buy BTS worth of 0.75 USD, short 0.75/1.75 bitUSD, add BTS to collateral, short more bitUSD, ..., repeat this infinite number of times; or you may deposit 1.75 USD, buy BTS worth of 1.75 USD, issue 1 bitUSD, convert it to USD and withdraw it back to your bank account. The end result is the same in both cases: you short 1 bitUSD, you have 1.75 USD worth of collateral locked, your investment is 0.75 USD => your leverage is 1/0.75=1.33x. Period.


No, this does not change your leverage. Leverage depends only on collateral ratio.

This is not true. Check your math. With 1.75x collateral you have only 1.33x leverage, which is not bad too, but not as good as 2x leverage.

In practice, your collateral should be larger than minimum, like 2x, and with 2x collateral you have no leverage, unfortunately.

Достаточно заставить ICOшников нести ответственность перед инвесторами на законодательном уровне. Типа, если вы не выполнили хотя бы 50% того, что наобещали, вся команда едет в трудовой лагерь и вкалывает на лагерную зарплату до тех пор, пока не выкупят все свои токены по ICOшной цене.  А запрещать такую хорошую вещь неправильно, ящетаю.
