Re: Back After a Break – Bitcoin Halving & Anyone for Meme Coin?
by
zakster
on 28/04/2025, 13:38:57 UTC
BTC, alt & meme coins, They all behaved, worked & seen as 3 entire different entities despite of being fallen in the same category.
Short terms holders, hustlers, quick gain seekers keep searching for the last 2, & sometimes they make good profit out of those.
I won't be labelling like most of the comments here that meme coins are scam/fraud, blah blah blah - - I've seen my fellows making decents from those. Recently $SUBBD & Fantasy pepe are hyping & some would definitely earn from those.

But

BTC is something stable, mature & decent. Investing in it in most cases is safe ( specially in the long run ), Tho the halving time is gone & next is too far to discuss about.

Glad to know that you are doing great.

For what you’re describing—holding Bitcoin, swapping to USDT occasionally, low fees, decentralized, and mobile—I’d recommend Best Wallet. It's a solid choice for long-term storage and provides a simple way to swap assets with low fees. It’s mobile-friendly, secure, and gives you decent control without too much complexity. Definitely worth checking out for your needs!

Re: Understanding Memecoins: A New Phenomenon in Crypto
by
zakster
on 20/08/2024, 09:33:11 UTC
The thing is, memecoins tap into the internet culture. Think Dogecoin, right? It was all about that Shiba Inu meme, and people loved it. But what really pushed it was the community vibe and, let’s be real, some big names (cough, Elon, cough) backing it up. That’s the sauce—community and hype.

But here’s the kicker: memecoins aren’t just about laughs anymore. They’re starting to show some real power in the market. The low entry cost makes ‘em accessible, so even folks with small pockets can get in on the action. Plus, with the rise of decentralized finance (DeFi), these coins are finding new ways to be useful. Some are even adding utility, like staking or gaming rewards, which traditional cryptos like Bitcoin and Ethereum didn’t originally focus on.

The main difference? While Bitcoin’s got that OG status as digital gold, memecoins are more like the streetwear of crypto—trendy, flashy, and sometimes just for show. They don’t usually have the tech backing of something like Ethereum, but they’ve got a strong brand and loyal followers.

So yeah, memecoins might seem like a fad, but they’re also showing how the crypto space is evolving. They’re not just here for the giggles anymore—they’re carving out a niche, and it’s gonna be interesting to see where they take us next.

Yeah Heard about it. By the way, a lot of projects are hyping on PEPE's similarities, not all are worth it ( & of course not all are fake/scam as well )

Best to do your own research if your friend is credible enough.
Persinally, It is hyping on google for quite a time & got my attention as well.
Here's a list if you wanna read more - https://topcryptopresale.com/best-altcoins/

Plus, It is also listed on major exchanges ( seems like a serious thing, ain't it ), Again another advice is not to jump in with a lot of budget.
Always consider the risk factors.

My Friend Suggested That I Invest in Pepe Unchained – What Do the Experts Think?

But before I dive in, I wanted to hear from the experts. What do you all think? Is Pepe Unchained a worthwhile investment, or should I be cautious? I'd love to get your opinions on the potential risks and rewards associated with this project.

Thanks in advance for your insights!
I never heard about PEPE Unchained coin before this thread. Whatever i think it's a newcomer in PEPE based coin by following the popular MEME coin of PEPE. Can you share it’s tracking site link if it’s listed anywhere or website link. Don’t invest such coins because it’s high chances to get rug pull at anytime, don’t waste your hard money.
TBH - It's quite trending since last few weeks - Here, https://topcryptopresale.com/best-altcoins/  ( I'm still Dyoring )

Re: How to Find New Meme Coins: Strategies and Insights from the Community

zakster

TBH -- memes coins are the most volatile class even if they're legit.
DYOR in meme coins is mostly on the team behind it. A team with a solid perspective is more than enough to go for it.
Like previously Base Dawgz caught me while looking for short-term investing. ( as not everyone plans on hodl )
For p2e, I'd go fo rMega Dice Token ( tried & tested ) again do your DYOR.

Still, I can't e,emphasize enough that all of us has our own parameters to go for, either it's meme coin or altcoin.
Some prefer presales & some consider presales a scam. So no hard n fast rule.

I have some bucks to invest & I'm not sure. Don't wanna buy BTC as I already have some. For these savings, I am planning some altcoins to add in my portfolio.
Not sure yet if I want it for long term or short.
Suggestions are appreciated.

Sounds like you're on the lookout for some exciting opportunities in the altcoin space! These days, meme coins and new project listings are catching a lot of attention. I recently participated in a meme coin AMA event through BingX, which was incredibly insightful. The discussions around trending altcoins and upcoming listings gave me some fresh ideas for my portfolio. You might want to check out events like these to get a feel for the current buzz and see if any of the projects resonate with your investment strategy. Have you explored any new meme coins lately?

Can you tell me what ideas did you come up with?
Me myself, I think big stable coins (alts or not) are the kings, and the risks are much smaller with them.
TBH -- all my DYORs aren't completed yet. At one side, I wanted to add altcoins in my PF.
On the other hand, I am getting mid-level gains from Lucky Block. ( Feel free to try - https://sites.google.com/view/casinoappsthatpayrealmoney/home  )
Haven't decided anything yet.

If I'm to reply based on your topic, I'll say that coins built on Ton blockchain are currently trending both listed and pre-launched projects but I'm not advising you to invest on them since I don't trust most of these new projects. I would love to say that accumulating more Bitcoin is not a bad idea but it seems you've made up your mind on adding Alts to your Portfolio. Well, Solana is not bad, it's a good Alt with great potential and the price it's attained recently has made lots of investors i know to consider it but I rate ETH (Ethereum) above every other Altcoins infact it's the next coin to Bitcoin and one can't think of adding Altcoins to their portfolio having ETH in mind, why i consider it good is because it's shown great potential and moving with Bitcoin trends moreover it's good for both long and short-term investment, BNB shouldn't be left out too, you can also Dyor about Monero (XMR) but if you feel like adding meme coins to your portfolio too then my suggestion is DOGE and PEPE.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown! I actually hold some PEPE and have been eyeing Pepe Unchained—thinking it might be worth a look, but still doing my homework on it.

ETH is definitely top-tier when it comes to alts. It’s been solid, moving alongside BTC, and I agree it’s a great pick whether you're in for the short or long haul. Solana’s been killing it too, though with the rapid rise, I’m a bit cautious about potential dips.

As for Ton blockchain projects, it’s cool to see them trending, but like you, I’m not fully sold on them just yet. BNB and XMR are solid adds to the watchlist. Appreciate the insights!

buying altcoin the current situation is very good for long or short term. the market is having a discount on the effects of news of war between countries. a very good moment not to be missed to buy. many new altcoins with good projects and prices that are still low by waiting for a new ATH in the future
You make a valid point—the current market conditions could offer some interesting opportunities for both short and long-term investments. The dip caused by geopolitical events might present a good buying opportunity.

On a related note, I’ve come across a few new altcoins recently, including one called Pepe Unchained. Just curious about different perspectives. ( doing DYOR as well )

I think the SOLANA has bcecome a trending cryptocurrency recently following Bitcoin and Ethereum. The reason behind it is continuous technological advancement of its network It has demonstrated outstanding perform since mid of 2023 when its price dropped below $10 and since then it its price is rising non-stop. Currently it is trading above $150 and there are rumors that SEC in USA is likely to approve its ETF. If it happens, it could potentially surpass its previous  all time high(ATH) of around $250.
You’ve made some compelling points about Solana, especially regarding its recent performance and technological advancements. Its recovery from below $10 to over $150 is remarkable, and the potential ETF approval could be significant.

However, it’s also important to consider the risks. For example, in late 2022, Solana faced a major setback due to its close ties with FTX, causing its price to drop over 95% from its ATH. Additionally, despite the recent gains, Solana’s network has faced multiple outages, raising concerns about its long-term reliability.

While the potential is there, the market can be unpredictable, so it’s wise to stay informed and cautious. Thanks for bringing this up—definitely food for thought!

Either short or long term you said, Ethereum is the best choice. You can hold it for as long as you can and it's the same as Bitcoin. But also the same with other altcoins that you can dump anytime you want whenever you're in profit and if you want to liquidate it.

Some may say that you can choose the memecoins, you're free to choose them but not all of them are going to be a good choice for you. My suggestion to you is to choose only the memecoins that are already established.

And that is because many of the investors of it think that any of it is a good investment and anything that you are early is a win for you. I'd say that not in most cases, you still need to be vigilant and always DYOR!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Ethereum does seem like a solid choice for holding, with its stability being comparable to Bitcoin. And I agree—having the option to sell when you're in profit is a big plus with altcoins. ( Done it in 2k23 as tbh, earned bigtime )

When it comes to memecoins, I completely understand the need to be cautious. Established ones do offer a bit more security, but there’s also an interesting niche emerging with Meme game tokens. These coins tie into gaming, creating a unique mix of fun and investment potential. It's an area where you still need to be vigilant, but it could offer something different for those willing to explore.

As always, DYOR is key! Thanks again for the advice.

Would have advise you stark more of the BTC but I guess you already accumulated some amount you feel good with as backup just in case your . Not sure myself I have any altcoin to suggest to you because from what it is  it sounds like you are  only interested in new tokens in the market otherwise Ether is the only altcoin I can suggest for an investor to risk on.

Never plan for a long term with altcoins, you never know what the project developers plans are for those tokens. Don't go after altcoins with bitcoin investment mentality of long term.

Good luck.

**Reply:**

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely comfortable with my Bitcoin holdings, so exploring altcoins feels like the next step. Ether is a solid choice—I’m considering it too.

I've been looking into a few newer projects as well, like Shiba Shootout. It's still early, but the concept is intriguing for me, in DYOR process atm.

You're right about being cautious with long-term investments in altcoins ( especially after the recent market crash ).

Is it even possible to agree upon one listing - lol
BTW -- I usually prefer presales ( ofcs quick profits is one of the reasons for this priority ) tho people often doubt em for rug pulls & scams which by the way isn't entirely wrong.
Still, presales after DYOR. Some projects are hitting off nice recentlty, Pepe Unchained & Base Dawgz seems a fine choice.

Though Pepe Unchained can be the next addition in one's portofilio.
