They say givers never lack and that is the philosophy of giving and receiving. Someone who doesn't gamble might also be making their own money from other avenue. You should give to people around when you win except they refuse. I give when luck happens to me.

For me it depends on how big the win is, because the jackpot varies in amount, maybe I will give it to people around me if I get more than $10k, that's enough for my needs and to do charity.

The philosophy is good but you have to have a measure to carry it out.

From other side of the coin, sharing money won in gambling is sort of a motivation for others to try gambling. I think not many would like to be a main hero of a story "how I started gambling". Someone might not understand story about sharing gambling money and would start gambling, because he wants to help people with money.

The moral is to share when you have an unexpected win, this is indeed subjective, depending on how you do it, there is no obligation for every jackpot winner to do it, but as far as I know when someone gets a jackpot they definitely share it, at least with their family or friends. Tongue
