Re: Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell?
by

People who are eager for quick and fast money are usually the ones who do this, they are short sighted and are not in the long game cos they lack patience. They are traders and it’s in their nature to want to make gains quickly, so I don’t want to say it’s all wrong move, so long as they’re making profits and their buybacks is always on a price lower than they sell. The problem is the risk is higher with this practice and you have to be looking at the price chart always (hourly, daily).
This practice is bad and should not be supported especially in a thread like here where there are many newbies and potential investors who are seeking information on how to go about Bitcoin investment the right way and not make mistakes. If we support people to sell at the sight of profits with the hope of buying them back, a lot of them will run into problems which will eventually cost them pain at the end of the day. Why should we support short term buy and sell when holding for long is the right way for better profits and more peace of mind. If we encourage more people to adopt the DCA method of accumulating Bitcoin and holding for long term like a decade and above, we will see more successful, rich and happy Bitcoin investors in the future. I think we should focus more on this than anything.

Talks and insights like this is why we regard the forum as a place of highly educative ground where people are grinded with the right knowledge on how to pursue their Bitcoin investment or accumulation process in a cool and calculated risk manner that will eventually yield maximum profit at a long run.

Sincerely, just as u stated earlier, I think setting in for the DCA strategy of Bitcoin accumulation and planning to hold for long is the real deal. With this plan already in your mind as a new investor or an already existing bitcoiner, Bitcoin depreciation will not really bother you that much because your initial mindset with which you entered the investment is to hold for long. This gives you a relaxed mindset to go about other means of livelihood while you keep pushing your investment with total assurance that though it my fluctuate due to its volatile nature, it will surely pay off positively as the year runs.  Truly, Bitcoin is an asset

180 push ups for two days. 90 for a day.
20×3, and 15×2 sets. I really wanted to increase the last set, but everywhere becomes so weak. It's a one step at a time, slow and steadily we will climb.

Yesterday was the usual 75 push ups. But today was a bit challenging as I decided to step up. Though a bit strenuous, but a climb made. Total of 90 today. 20×3 sets, and then 15×2.

Re: Why are you taking profit on bitcoin?
by
Bigjoe33
on 21/07/2025, 22:23:03 UTC
Bitcoin reaching new ATH and with possibilities of multiple ATH to come again there will be some investors who will be taking profit from their bitcoin investment. This shouldn’t be surprising or be discouraged by anyone, we all have different strategies in this market, some are taking profit because they wanted just 2x from the market some more. For me bitcoin is still at an early/mid stage and will increase in price as the demand and adoption increases, but that doesn’t stops one from taking profit base on their strategy.

But the real question is why are you taking the profit:

Some are taking profit to actually invest into other assets which is what we call diversification or to build their businesses which is a great idea as profits from this business can still be used to invest into bitcoin yet again. But are you familiar with this investment or business, if not why take profit.

Some can take out profit to either help to Carter for their needs like building or buy themselves houses if what they have now is a rented property or to renovate the property if it is theirs, certainly there is nothing wrong with this.

Why you shouldn’t take profit is:

1. Using the money to actually spend it on unnecessary luxuries (emphasis on unnecessary, as there is nothing bad to get some luxury for your self).

2. It is wrong to take profit and abandon it on fiat currency, that’s going from an asset with a store of value to one with devaluing characteristics.

3. Taking profit to actually invest into altcoins because there is predicted alt season coming with some Altcoins been rumored to be able to do 5x or more is a capital gambling which mostly results more into losses than profits.

4. lastly Buying Altcoins are not diversification means so do not take profit from bitcoin to buy Altcoins.

In my opinion, what an investor does with his investments is his/her sole responsibility(gain or loss). It shouldn't worry at all. Sometimes I'm one's life, you feel you have given enough, and it's time to get some fun and enjoy, Go On! Some other time too, all you think is investment and how to gather for future achievement.

I will simply submit in this case that, whatever an investor does, Life still exists tomorrow. If the need arises, would you still have enough to handle things? If yes, catch your fun, yea! But if NO, then spend wisely. The future is unpredictable. But the future of Bitcoin is sure.

money to buy BTC.
You can invest your entire discretionary income if you want. But it would be better for an investor to invest 25% of his discretionary income. If a person uses 25% of his discretionary income, then he can build an emergency fund with the remaining 75% and if the emergency fund is ready, then he can keep that money with him and when he sees a decline in the market, he can buy aggressively.

I think that with time an investor does everything. Maybe a new person may not do this, he may not be aware of this. But a person who has been investing for some time may set aside money to buy aggressively. Because he knows how to use the decline.

Older investors often don't take advantage of price drops if they want to buy Bitcoin more aggressively, although they don't dismiss them as a good opportunity for those who haven't been afraid to buy without the market dropping. And such investors are usually not afraid to use half of their income to buy Bitcoin because they can still manage their lives with the remaining half. Therefore, this will never be the same for one person as the mentality and courage to buy assets like Bitcoin always differ from person to person.

Furthermore, there are differences in income levels among individuals, and this can influence how they use their money to buy Bitcoin more aggressively on a regular basis and less focused on price declines in the market. So, I'm not at all surprised to see investors who invest half their income in Bitcoin every week. Even though they are still concerned about their own livelihood and emergencies, their courage in regularly investing half their income every week is truly admirable.

These kind of investors are people who have studied Bitcoin and have seen that come rain come shine, Bitcoin still remains an asset and a great one for future gains. And you know, what you have seen, tested and confirmed, you follow it with a different mentality. Despite its volatile nature, Bitcoin surely will always appreciate and thus, investing up to a half of Income is a wise one with future mindset.

Provided your emergency funds is solid and rolling, then using a large sum of the discretionary funds to buy Bitcoin weekly of so shows an understanding of the value of Bitcoin. Though your purchase power largely depends on your income, but then, some investors are really crazy, yea! Crazy in the sense that the amount they sink into Bitcoin purchase weekly is shocking. To some begginers, or those with fear and disbelieve of Bitcoin ability to appreciate, it is crazy, but to real and full time investors who knows the worth of Bitcoin now and in nearest future, such crazy investments are only for great gains. It is quite commendable sincerely.

Greetings everyone, I'm new here, I was introduced into this forum by a friend but my friend didn't really show me my way around here, he only told me that here is to learn all about about Bitcoin and others, but didn't go in details.

So, when I login and start scrolling, I came across this beginners and help, which I have gone through some topics but there are some things I don't really understand, which is why I'm creating this topic for someone to tell me more about this forum, which I will be glad to learn about it, so that I won't fall into breaking rules and regulations.

Dear OP, you are welcome to the forum. It's a place of learning about Bitcoin and crypto currency related matters. Going through the different boards will give you knowledge about how the forum Operates, the rules guiding the forum just as you said you will like to know and other important tips about the forum.

Re: Receive Bitcoin Talk forum notifications via Telegram bot.
by

on 20/07/2025, 15:27:28 UTC
I've been using it for years and I rely on it in such a way that has become essential for tracking the forum, so I don't know what I would do if it stopped working one day.

We don't hope so but if it eventually stopped working one day, there's absolutely nothing we can do other than get used to how it was before. Perhaps, the forum itself will come up with something to notify users for every mention or someone give us another alternative. Aside this two options, I don't think of any other way again.

The bot is a job well done by the developer. We would have been missing important threads where we are being mentioned or tracking a thread we are interested in without the bot. It's one of the reason why I still have Telegram on my phone.

Sincerely, the Bitcoin super notifier is a super creative work of excellence. Keeping us updated always about happenings in the forum as regards our mentions and merit activities is something great. At least, one is always informed. One thing I also appreciate is that when one is mentioned, you can actually return back to the thread and read to get any corrections if made in your post or response, with this, the bitcoiner learns and grows very fast.

Infact, the BitcoinTalk SuperNotifier V2'' is our eye to all recent happening in the forum and it's just too good. I really appreciate the developer. Great work.

I have been using it since I joined this forum last year. It has been fabulous.

I just checked the push-up table, and I found out that you spent 93 days doing push-ups, and you have achieved a total of 14,700 push-ups. I believe with your consistency in this push-up challenge, nothing will stop you from achieving 100 days and 16,000 push-ups before the end of the month. I know for us to be consistent with this push-up challenge, we are motivated, but I won't deny the fact that the price of Bitcoin is lifting our spirits because I can see some mates on the bench coming back to continue with the push-up challenge.

Thanks. I'm going through tough times but I'm still trying to keep up with my push-ups. I don't really have time for proper 8-hour sleep. I have to drive in the morning and afternoon. Basically my day is split into three. Still, I'm paying attention to my diet so I don't get too weak. I try to get enough protein for the day.

Added 200 today. 10 set x 20 reps as usual.

100k,EFS,94,14900,2025-07-18

Sincerely, it's quite surprising for some one going through all these and yet pull up a 200 push ups. To me, that's resilience, that's dogedness, that's never give up spirit, and truly, that's what we all need, though we are all not the same. Presently, am a transporter and I know the tiredness I feel after the day's work, added to a lack of sleep, and then, u still added 200. I must say you are committed to this.

We ain't giving up, are we? Your act is a motivation to me personally and some other people here who needs such dogedness and resilience in the face of challenge to keep on the push up challenge and keep fitness on..

Two days report, 150 push ups in total. 75 for each day. 15×5 sets Daily. We will scale up gradually. We keep the hopes on.

Hey dear, now that you have seen the correction, I just think it's better you use the edict button. Try to edit it so that it can be right and secondly, so that you your username can also appear at the daily upload table when Dirty keyboard will do the upload.

I completed 200 push-ups early in the day today. I have a lot of work during the day, I'm very tired in the evening and I don't feel like doing it. Maybe this will become my new routine.
Bitcoin is going strong and altcoins are also following. I like it better when they rise slowly like this instead of all of a sudden pump for no reason.

100k,EFS,93,14700,2025-07-16

Hahaha! The sudden pump is always like boom! slow and steady has always been the best. I prefer it too. We keep wishing waiting for the best is yet to come.

This is quite interesting, this analysis is a good way to encourage growth. Those whose names, made it to recognition will be happy and those who are not there will work towards it.
This will bring activity to the board, which means greater heights for the Nigerian board.
Weldon to those making this happen

Sure, once you are active always and also contributing were necessary your name will surely appear to the table and it is good roles that all the big man in this naija local board is being so supportive to igebotz the moderator in the way forward to this great naija local board and i believe that with time they will put hands together to bring more achievement to this great local board and we are need to be active and also contribute because a tree can't make a forest so all hands must be on dark towards the betterment of our local board.

The Naija Local board was really a help and an anchor to me when I got into the forum newly. After touring round different Posts in begginers and help, next is to come here and get latest happenings. It was always full of talks about things that relates to us, hence its name. The one that interest me the most is the privilege to use the pigin English while speaking or reacting to a statement. This truly shows we are one. I really learnt alot here.

Let me borrow your last statements, All hand must be on deck, because a tree can not and will never make a forest.  All efforts of our moderator @Igebotz and all other high  ranked members of the board is noticed and appreciated. E no really easy oooo, at all, E no easy to pull everything together monthly or so. It's our local board, our Origin, our true colour, we must all put our efforts to grow the board. I never really dey much active here though, due to activities off the forum, but the good thing we owe this board Na to dey always give our contributions when necessary to make sure say here no too quiet but go dey active always.
We move. Nothing do us.

when you buy in if you plan to hold for a long time because Bitcoin has the potential to increase in price over time. Over the years we have all seen how it has grown.

That's what needs to be clear, if I have the option to buy BTC, I do it Right now we're hitting new ATHs, yesterday at $112k, today at $116k, Are there still doubts about investing in BTC? Not to mention when we're 10 years from now, we can say that investing today can make us rich tomorrow 10 years go by fast. I'm only saying 10 years as a measure of time to hold on.

There is no doubt about a person investing in Bitcoin, because the price of Bitcoin has been above $100k for a long time. And it has been faithfully surviving in the market for a long time, which is our pride, where there are big investors and thousands of investors in this Bitcoin. We should never be afraid of investing in Bitcoin, not only in investing in Bitcoin but in any real business.
You should never be afraid to participate in any business by taking risks, if you start investing in Bitcoin, it must be at least ten years old. You can hold it for 10-20 years according to your ability, you will benefit the most.

The truth is, over the years, Bitcoin investment have been tested and proven worthy, strong and reliable to yield good & maximum profit if held for a long term. Though a times, it dwindles, fluctuating like a pendulum, but we know for sure that if we hold for long, it will certainly appreciate and give the investor a much desired profit.

One of the problems we constantly face is the reliability of our emergency funds. Yea! How strong is it, how much can it carry you through the process of Bitcoin accumulation. When Bitcoin drops, can one still be able to survive using all other funds made available and ensure that you keep holding your Bitcoin assets and not sell. If one can surpass this pressure and hold for a long time, them Bitcoin's future profit is assured for such an investor.

Another tiring day but I reached my 200 daily push-up goal again. I want to reach 100 days in this challenge before the end of the month. In total, I will have passed 16k push-ups. The price of Bitcoin is lifting our spirits. We saw 120k and it's starting to feel normal. Smiley

100k,EFS,91,14300,2025-07-14
Wow! It is a big congratulations to you sir with your consistency in doing 200 push-ups exercise  daily and still have the target to continue pushing consistently till you reach 100 days in this challenge before month end, i must said that it is a great achievement you have mind to archive. When seeing such a plan you have sir, one can always advise himself to pick up courage in doing push-ups when he doesn't have one because many of the floor mates that are still on the bench today disconnect their self of doing push-ups daily because most of them lost courage to continue and some break down on the way because of hard they might found push-ups exercise to be to them, but i will always advise that you should continue doing push-ups because it is beneficial to us and, by keeping us fit at all times, and we should gently push gradually by gradually to avoid breaking down on the process and we shall get to the top all together, also keep Bitcoin price above $100k.

My report:100k,POPOLUV,183,26460,2025-07-15.

Sincerely, it's an encouragement to me and so many other bench members who gave up, or became weak along the way & dropped. Thank God I got back to the push challenge at least to be fit and stay healthy. At all, health is wealth. We keep pushing

It's a two days report. A slightly higher than the 10×5 previous three days push ups as got back to the floor. It's 15×5 for the two days, totalling 150 push ups.

It feels good am back here to this wonderful exercise, at least for three days now, despite I still feel slight pains within my muscles due to the fact that I went off for far too long. But sincerely, I feel the lightness and ease that comes with everyday push ups and little exercises as I used to feel before when I was very active. For pains and to build slowly too, am taking it bit by bit. Just a 10×5 session, totalling 50 push ups. At least for now, slow and calm till I rebuild. We must stay fit & alert health wise.

Re: Balancing Financial security and Bitcoin Accumulation
by
Bigjoe33
on 12/07/2025, 17:43:39 UTC
Balancing your financial security is a good thing while investing in Bitcoin because investing in any business whether in crypto or any other business without giving much attention to saving is no a good practice as it will affect your financial stability and emergency fund should be as a matter of fact be compulsory for any individual who is ready to investing in Bitcoin because there are other things that will also need finance so putting all your money inyo Bitcoin accumulation will be harmful because Bitcoin investment is focused on a long term basis

We only invest because we want to maximise income and become financially stable tomorrow. We invest to solidify our financial status and accumulation in the nearest future. Therefore, no one is encouraged to get involved in this investment journey blindly or with little or no knowledge at all of how this pretty good and well constructed Bitcoin investment schemes as well as it sounds else you will end up  loosing of making no headway or better still remain stagnant.

If you read through the thread properly and other comments and replies, you would notice that so many strategies have been employed or rather discussed by the OP and other Bitcoin investors as guide to how one can safely or peacefully achieve a successful Bitcoin accumulation. So it has never been advised and would never be to put up all your income in Bitcoin accumulation. Abi that person no go chop again, or you no go attend to responsibilities again? Even if you are very much single and has no family dependent on you, you still gats personal responsibilities wey you go attend to. So Bitcoin accumulation or investment is a well calculated journey that tends to allow you investe while you still survive and keep pushing on.

The automated savings system has been mentioned which enables you save a bit of your income automatically. Emergency funds too is also important to be created, reserve funds, float. The point here is that Bitcoin accumulation is not just something one enters with no knowledge, it is calculated and all things been equal will yield positively. Nevertheless, every calculation is done based on the investors cash flow. The little your income, the little you save and invest and vice versa. It has been tested and proven over time, Slow and steady wins the raise. It's a long term deal, you can't afford to choke yourself because you are an investor.

I cannot remember.  I probably said something about my having reached a year.
But it would be nice to know when is your birthday and probably how old you are if you haven't said it, because with the way you go about business in pushing up and other exercises us really amazing...but are you up to 50🤔?
10[edit]0k,Sexylizzy2813,69,10790,2025-07-11

I was referring to my number of days doing pushups, and I don't tend to say too much about my personal specifics, even though from time to time, I might say something in one direction or another and other times, I speak in terms of hypothetical or even examples that might be more about a fantasy self rather than a real self.

Of course doing pushups will sometimes bring out some of the personal information, in the context of discussing matters, yet I am not going to necessarily agree that everything is factually based..

Regarding price.  It surely is interesting that the price went above my total pushups, so hopefully the price gets above my total pushups and stays there.. We have been having this issue since early February, which was the first time that my total quantity of pushups (then in the mid 90ks) started to cross above the bitcoin price, whether we are referring to the low of the day or maybe if we are referring to the trade-weighted average for the day.  I am glad to see the  price is back in the neighborhood, even though I am continuing to mostly do more than 100 pushups per day..

Since the 200-WMA is still just under $50k, and it is only moving up around $50 per day, it is way more likely that the price will go back below my total quantity of pushups as compared with the 200-WMA, which may well not even be able to get above $100k by the end of 2026.
I also understand that with your years of experience in bitcoin investment, your dedication in pushups and your various everyday activities and emphasis on this forum, I can vividly but no evidently state that you are way above that figure @Sexylizzy2813 is mentioning. Even though I do know that personal data and achievements are not for public consumption but whoever is keen and analytical would effortlessly achieve infer someone else's near truths.

About bitcoin surpassing your total number of pushups, sometime last month when your push-up number was above the bitcoin price,  a new ATH was already possible if bitcoin must surpass your pushups number. I know your age and health must have a hand in your reducing your daily pushups to far below what it used to be prior to your achieving 100k pushups. If you have kept that pace, nothing could possibly make bitcoin surpass your pushups number anywhere below 180k.

Bitcoin investors are happy this period and even at that, bitcoin price still has more suprises for diligent investors.

100k,Tonimez,218,27400,2025-07-12

I think age and whatever is a personal thing and is sorely under one's discretion to discuss, disclose or so. @JayJuanGee has said he was merely referring to number of push ups and plus the fact that even though some personal matters might be raised in the course of discussing push ups and exercise, that they may not be factually based. So I would opined that the guess of age of birthday per say should be discarded as we interact, exercise and learn together.

It's all about Bitcoin, all about push ups, and Bitcoin is attaining heights as we all can see and is proud of it. We are happy for the records, and we believe greater things will keep happening as regards the price of Bitcoin. We still await a new ATH records of Bitcoin. At the same vein, we keep pushing, at least for fitness, health and for the love of Bitcoin. Let's think Bitcoin, let's think fitness.

I wouldn't want to explain what has brought me back on the floor, but after a little football training section this morning, I noticed I had lost alot while on the bench. I have decided to hit the floor again, at least for a bit regain of fitness. Just a 2 sets of 15 and 2 sets of 10, totalling 50. This time, it's gonna be slow and steady. Hi everyone,

This is my second day on Bitcointalk. I’ve been learning about Bitcoin for a while now, but just recently decided to join the forum. I'm particularly interested in mining, trading, development, Bitcoin philosophy, etc.

If anyone has tips for navigating the forum or suggestions for must-read threads, I’d really appreciate it!

Looking forward to getting involved more.

Anyways,  the only special way of getting involved more as you stated is to gather all the knowledge you need here so that when the need arises, you can easily dish out knowledge to others too. To gather this knowledge, to me, is to read. As a newbie, you have alot to read. It's a clear saying,, ''Readers are Leaders''

So many information exist here, recent threads and discussions, pinned post and lots more. Navigating the forum means to go through different boards and different threads or post, read to get the information about Bitcoin and the forum generally. It is only when you get much knowledge about Bitcoin and the forum that you can get involved the more as u wished. The forum is a big and great community full of knowledge, start reading now, get involved and get the knowledge, it all centres on your interest, zeal to learn and remaining commited to the knowledge you seek. Goodluck!

Hello everyone, I am Xypher 606, this is my first post on this platform. I am just learning the ropes and I am going to need a lot of assistance from this wonderful community. This is my first time joining a Bitcoin platform and I'm both nervous and excited to be here. I'm a person who believes that growth is found in instructions so I'm shamelessly asking for any nuggets of wisdom, special tricks, manners of approach and specific knowledge that is required of me to serve this community at my very best. Thank you.

Smiles. Firstly you are very much welcomed to a great community of knowledge about Bitcoin.  I called it a community of knowledge because all of us here learn from each other and has grown in knowledge everyday.

Put in mind that we all were once a newbie. We all started from scratch, and today, we have grown to certain and different levels and ranks owing to our level of knowledge and meaningful contributions to the forum. Here, its a simple and committed work to grow. If you want to grow, JUST SEEK FOR KNOWLEDGE. Yea!. To get this knowledge, just bend down and read, infact as a newbie, read almost everything. As you go through the forum and threads of other members, comments and knowledge of other people, you will quickly see how things are done here and it will help you know your left from right.

The forum is vast and full of people either sharing knowledge or providing solutions to problems relating to Bitcoin. So my dear, the answer to the solution you seek has always been dedication to read and always read. Don't be in a hurry, don't rush in  and out, as a newbie, just read, read and always read. Ask questions and you will be guided. Trust the process, as you dedicate to reading and learning, you will soon turn from a newbie to a teacher. Smiles. Welcome OP
