Re: Do rich people get off easier when they break the law?
by

I wish I could say otherwise. But of a truth, this is the case. The judiciary system in majority of the countries around the world is corrupt. Justice is hardly ever gotten. This should not be the case. Sadly and unfortunately, it is what it is. I will hardly ever forget the case of the rape suspect who got just 6 months jail time. Funny enough, he even got out earlier for some reason. We hate so much that such things happen. But there's very little than we do.

Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin?
by

At least not as foolish as you. Funny how you come on a Bitcoin forum and pronounce that Bitcoin investors are foolish. When I sell Bitcoins and exchange for Fiat, is that still a virtual illusion? If we consider the price Bitcoin started out, it is really outstanding how far it has come. You say that Bitcoin growth is not eternal. I completely concur on that point. And nobody claimed it was. Prices fall and grow. And only experienced investors make the best of these variations.

Re: Flat Earth

How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?

http://i.imgur.com/1FL8pEp.jpg

Go to a church, ask them what they believe.  The truth is usually the opposite.

For heaven's sake, what does this have to do with Christianity or any church? Some of your folks just look for any flimsy excuse to attack religion.

Anyway, back to the original post. Why would you even need to verify what is already well known. If you're so adamant about not adopting information from a third party, why ask then for our opinion? Y'all keep raising an argument that was torn down centuries ago. Seasons and climates are very simple phenomena that tell us of the spherical nature of the earth. You might wanna become an astronaut anyway to be very sure. In this case, I doubt if it's not already too late for you.

Re: Bitcoin End Goal
by

on 30/08/2018, 09:27:21 UTC
I think my goal is a hybrid of the two you've mentioned. I look forward to a different economic future other than what there is right now. I do not like the idea that a select few run the economics of today. It would not be totally unsettling if they were in control in their countries only. But they have actually spread their fangs into the economic system all over the world. Upsetting that unfair setup will bring me a lot of relief. And I think the Blockchain technology can bring about that. But in the process of all these, what is the point if I do not make some profit also?

Re: Diversify Investments

There is the popular saying that advises not to put all your eggs in one basket. I think it is very applicable here. If we could fully predict the future, then of course we would know to invest all our resources in the project that would be a hit. Unfortunately, we can't see tomorrow. At least yet Grin So, in view of that, we have to be smart and wise. And wisdom proposes that you should diversify your investments. Which in normal terms means to invest across different platforms. Investing periodically in the cryptocurrencies doesn't make any difference to me.

Re: U.S President Trump claims Google ‘rigged’ search results, ‘illegal’ censorship.

Tech giants are actually getting too powerful in recent times. Though, Trump's word can't be taken for what it is. We still cannot deny the possible presence of some truth in these allegations. It is no news that the media has deliberately targeted Trump even from the onset of his campaign. And I wouldn't be surprised if the tech world has joined as most of them have been very vocal in criticizing him. He has however made himself a very easy prey too. But when he says he will take action, what does he have in mind? Is he going to sue the company? Or is he hoping to sign some new executive order concerning censorship on the internet? Grin

Re: How the Bank works to make money?
by
Brian_Hunt
on 28/08/2018, 09:06:10 UTC
There are actually many ways banks make money. One of the major ways is by their government backing. The Central Banks in many countries are controlled by a crooked system. They do not always print money in proportion to the amount of gold they possess. Most banks get odd bail-outs from the Central Bank. But some people might consider this as some conspiracy theories. Anyway, there are other ways too. The transaction fees they deduct consistently might mean little to the client but in the end, when accumulated, it amounts to a huge sum. Loan interests and other factors also play a big role.

Re: How do we change the public's view of Crypto world?
by
Brian_Hunt
on 26/08/2018, 03:52:34 UTC
The starting point should be education. And when I say education, I mean the right education. First of all, a large number of folks don't even know anything about Bitcoin. So, we need to start by raising discussions publicly about the currency. But it doesn't stop here. Among the few people who have even heard about cryptocurrency, many were fed with biased information. Some have only heard negative things that are mostly not true. Then there are those to whom cryptocurrencies have been made to seem very complex. So, there are different audiences that must be targeted if we must change anything.

Re: People call bitcoin a fraud or ponzi scheme
by

The truth is very simple. It does not necessarily matter what anyone labels Bitcoin. The choice is always yours to make individually. One can actually sit and listen to all the bull crap. Or you can do your own personal research and clear the air. Of a fact, Bitcoin cannot be called ponzi or fraud. This is because of a very simple reason. It is backed by a substantial technology that's recognized and utilized even by big organizations like UEFA. So, anyone can believe whatever they choose to.

Re: How to lose weight?

Whenever I hear people talk about losing weight, I get a special feeling. In fact, I feel really lucky lmao. I really find it hard to explain. For some reason, I can't seem to ever gain weight myself. But one thing I know is it really doesn't sound good to take medications for weight loss. Sounds more like a lazy shortcut. And life has taught us that shortcuts mostly cause trouble. Do the workout. Change your eating habits. It might be slow and strenuous, but it's always worth it in the end.

Re: Physical bitcoin - Is this the future?
by
Brian_Hunt
on 22/08/2018, 05:49:34 UTC
I really don't see a future in that direction. It's not so smart to be honest. I understand the idea of making it more like a standardized currency. Something we were all used to. But that's just a small picture. The bigger picture is revolutionizing how we see and spend money (currency). A physical Bitcoin is more like a step backward. It kills the whole digital currency thing, I suppose. That's my own opinion though.

Re: Is this the end of Bitcoin ?

This is certainly not the end of Bitcoin. I do not foresee an end at least for the next two or more years. I believe Bitcoin has seen this kinda "meltdown" quite a number of times before. And in the past, it always came back very strong. I think the same will be the case this time around. The last thing anyone really wants to do right now is panic. Bitcoin is backed by a very innovative and reliable technology. And for anyone that understands Blockchain a bit, they understand that Bitcoin will surely bounce back.

Re: How is the economy of your country recently?
by
Brian_Hunt
on 19/08/2018, 17:32:54 UTC
On paper, the economy in my country seems to be doing fine. But that doesn't relate much to the reality. Jobs seem to still be on the decrease. And inflation keeps biting hard. So, I figure that the average people in most countries are actually experiencing the same issues. This is why immigration is bound to keep on happening. Everybody thinks the grass is greener on the other side. The key however is to always fight hard to ascend the financial ladder in which ever country you're in.

Re: High risk results to high rewards
by

on 18/08/2018, 06:29:44 UTC
I completely agree with this submission of yours. You don't get much returns for playing safe. But you also made a salient point. And I think it must not be ignored. One should only invest what they're willing to lose. And many people do not adhere to this principle. This is why when I hear stories of people becoming bankrupt because of their crypto investment, I sympathize very little with them. Interestingly, this also implies that the richer you get, the more risk you're willing to take. And consequently, the more reward is bound to come your way.

Re: How to make friends ?
by
Brian_Hunt
on 17/08/2018, 06:28:54 UTC
I think making friends shouldn't have to take a lot of efforts. Most of the friendships that truly last happen naturally. They are also the type that make us truly happy. Maybe these circles are rejecting you because you're trying hard to be a part of them. And most times, it just won't work. Even if you later get to be friends with these people, it just might not last. So, just be yourself, do the things you really like doing and along the way, your true friends will find you. And no, don't listen to the advice that says social media is the way out. Most of the things that happen online are just superficial.

Re: What did you think when you was a child...?

Growing up was a really interesting experience. This was largely thanks to the fact that I have an elder brother. Crazy guy, he told me a lot of lies. And I would generally believe anything he said. Of course, I looked to him as a role model. I can't forget one of his major dreams or lies. He said I could join him and we could build our own nation. That we could go over to an island where we would be the first inhabitants. And then we would develop our own language too. We get to laugh over all that bullshit nowadays.

Re: EVERY TIME IS RIGHT TO BUY AND SELL
by
Brian_Hunt
on 02/08/2018, 01:56:04 UTC
Looking at how BTC is and its ability to increase, I have seen people posting all all over the forum that can I buy now, is this the right time to buy and many more. To me I think every time is the right and best time to buy BTC so we should go on and buy any amount we want to and stop all those post because when you buy now there will surely be a time to come where it will increase in price for you to enjoy it. We can buy and sell anytime and anytime is the best time. What do you think guys? Any suggestions?
In general, I agree with you. But following the main rule of investing - invest only the amount of money which you ready to lose, there are additional circumstances.
Yes, it's always the best time to buy bitcoin, but taking into account the size of the investment package. Precisely because money is a limited resource, many newcomers find it difficult to make a decision: to buy today or tomorrow? And experienced investors think when it's best to sell. I believe in optimistic forecasts and try very hard to buy as much crypto currency as possible right now.

DIPLOMACY IS DISCUSSING WITH HITLER WHILE VISTING AN INTERNEMENT CAMP AND THEN EATING A NICE LUNCHEON WITH THE OFFICIALS

please feel free to change my mind !!!
I'm not going to persuade you. I would like someone to change my mind. But, judging by what was before and what is happening in the world now. Yes, that's the way diplomacy works (or, more correctly, it does not work).

Re: Can the media protect our democracy and freedom?
by
Brian_Hunt
on 26/07/2018, 23:16:52 UTC
The question is very relevant.
Bring Voltaire or John Lock back from the dead and they will write you an outstanding essay on the subject.
Which of these philosophers did not fight for independence and freedom?
Unfortunately, the media supposed to be the strength of democracy is sometimes trapped.
Where is the trap? The Power or illusion to control everything.
Actually, it is easy to understand. Let us check this argumentation: Media is communication. It is the lever of all action.
To control the media is to control the mass.
To control the mass is to win the elections.
To win elections is to have power.
To have the power is to need the media to stay there as long as possible.
In addition, the media sometimes or even often helps to hide the truth.
Can we trust the news? Can we trust the local media? Well!

I do not trust the news. And among my acquaintances there is no person who would 100% believe the news. With the advent of social media, the situation has become even more difficult. On the one hand, you can learn and analyze all the positions and opinions. But there are too many information. And too many fakes. The only way out is to use your own head and common sense.
