.... shouldn't put any pressure on the translators, although many will be free in August... What do you / other AOBTers think?
..... for those who will be online in August, or, as we have other topics still pending, wait and add it in September like a "welcome back bonus translation" Grin

I’m still traveling though, might be a little late than everyone else with the translation. Went on a trip to explore our capital Dhaka for a week.

Btw, my birthday is coming up, guys… do I get gifts this time? 🥹 It’s on the 2nd of August. Just saying. 😌🎂

Wait what? Did you just said underage kid? Sad
Well I'll beat the shit out of him first if he did something like gambler. I would certainly not allow him to gamble in the first place. He should be in his study room studying. As for claiming the wins, I'm not sure, this feels like a pretty lucrative thing for anyone to waste away...

Lol. Just like there are still 3 users who have only * on their Trust list Tongue

I'm also getting mentioned by that user! Some of his posts comtained my name and some didn't.

For example I got mentioned in this post, but there exists only some links.

Any idea what happened?

I don’t know if it’s only me, but your website is too slow to load. My internet connection is fine and all other websites I tried load fast, though!

Anyway, welcome to bitcointalk.
After the website finally loaded, it doesn’t look bad but the design can be improved to look even better.
I can see that users can login only by connecting the Sui wallet. I didn’t as I don’t use this wallet. So, I advise you to add more option to connect, as Upgrade00 suggested above.

Umm, it loads just fine from my end. Maybe it could be your ISP? Or try again later. The loading time was just instant, even video started playing on it's own.

The design already looked far better in comparison to other similar sites. They had a lot of sections with different key informations, graphs, volumes, blogs etc.

Regarding connecting wallet, I agree with you. I saw only slush but I personally don't use it nor I use okx. More options would be better.

Re: Yet Another Scam Attempt, Impersonating Users on Telegram
by
DYING_S0UL

Won't the accounts you've communicated with before save the history of their correspondence with you? I mean, you should be able to see it. If the history is deleted, then the deletion is already an alarming sign. Why would a person delete the history? Dad, Mom, the way you write and scare people, they won't delete the history.
Also, I'm not sure if I understood you, but you're again claiming that a premium account subscription is completely nonsense? I've been using it for a long time, and in addition to the convenience of translating from different languages, there is a function to block all other accounts that are not on your lists. Fraudsters who bought a premium account will be able to write to you. This is, of course, possible, but it will be quite expensive for them, and they can be identified since they pay for their premium with a card, the details of which can be found out.

Logically yes, but that's not always the case. For example my privacy setting is that chats will be auto deleted after 30 days. So in my case I wouldn't have any conversation at all. Of course unless I manually disable that. Btw, I recently got to know about this blocking feature. I guess it's quite helpful. But apart from this features I don't deem the other features as helpful as this. And even if their card details were to exposed, they simply won't care. It has been always known tg is the scammers paradise. Surely they wouldn't have choose this platform if it weren't convenient for them. Just my two sats... Smiley

Re: Yet Another Scam Attempt, Impersonating Users on Telegram

This is what I do now too. I’m always skeptical when someone asks for money. It’s not just on Telegram even on big platforms like Facebook, accounts can get hacked and you might end up talking to a scammer without knowing it. I had a friend who became a victim of that, so I’ve been extra careful ever since.

If it’s about money, don’t just chat. Call to confirm, better safe than sorry.

Yup! I also had similar encounters before in Facebook. Somehow the owner lost access to his account and the hacker started to ask for money from his recent chat contacts. Some even give in without verifying why and how! Since they had a conversation recently, they would just think it's the same person.

Once they know that you're into crypto (like replying a relative group) you will receive tons of spam.

I noticed that too. I have two accounts. The one that is joined in various crypto groups gets tons of unsolicited message everyday. The other one isn't involved in any group, so there I have never had a single unknown person texting.

Most subscription can be bought and these mfers can buy off it and easily imitate users.

The subscribtion is just full of nonsense. It only gives a fake sense of security and some fancy texts and stickers nothing else. That's why I have never bought one even when I could easily.

This post could be helpful to alot as we are seeing newbies getting on the forum every now and then.

I should say "thanks" to Btt and the community for posting such topics everyday. In the past, I wasn't aware that scams can happen in such ways. But now thanks to this amazing community I'm well updated with all the different scam method.

Too bad, they started off so well lol. I did like that they answered the question but apparently they're not a legit casino.

Yep a legitimate casino wouldn't do such thing. Criticism is a common thing when doing a business, if one couldn't handle it then they shouldn't have get involved in the first place. Let's see what excuse they give this time, I don't think they would have any.

Yet Another Scam Attempt, Impersonating Users on Telegram
by
DYING_S0UL

Similar topics may already exists but I'm creating this topic anyway to warn everyone, especially the newbies that NEVER trust anyone from telegram even if it's your own brother, mother or father. The fact that makes telegram so dangerous that it's so easy to impersonate a person there. And add a little bit of TG premiemness, makes the whole thing looks like the original users. Surely a newbie might think that a verified user (basically the premium user's stickers) wouldn't try to scam people.

As for the screenshot below, I was approached by one of my trusted contact (a fake one actually)! He asked me for mere $300 whereas he owns a million doller company himself, he has his own startup, a crypto project even many employees under him. Tbh, it was ridiculous that he would ask for $300 Lol. I may have believed if he asked for $1000-3000...

Conclusion, never trust anyone from telegram as well as discord. Use a private channel when it imvolves financial deal. Make them sign message or shift to move secure private chating platform like SimpleX.

I have been using kucoin for years but neved had any misfortune of getting scammed nor seen anybody having the same thing. I have had countless deposit, trade there as well as p2p deals, and like i said never a issue. So I'm not sure whether it is a scam. I have user othe cexs like binanace bybit the experience was the same as kucoin. Anyway, even if it is a reputable exchange it is always advised to not to use cex's to store funds. Because they can confiscate it at any times. Remember not your keys not your coins. If you are looking for a short trade, or p2p deals, (beware of scammers, only choose merchant with high tradecount and reputation) I believe there isn't anything to worry about. Just my two sats...

Welcome to bitcointalk.org. I am glad to see you guys are not avoiding what some companies might think is a hard question. I like to read a company being honest even if some might not like the answer. Good luck on your journey here.

This doesn't look good on OP's side. Instead of answering users questions he just deleted the ANN and moved it to the archived board. Umm this was unexpected... Undecided

Re: Housing is no longer a goal for the next generation
by
DYING_S0UL
on 21/07/2025, 05:09:20 UTC
The cost of everything is absolutely high at the moment. A lot of Young people prefer to rent for a while probably till they stand on their feet is because owning a house in this generation is very expensive. The cost of getting a land and then building materials is worth a fortune. It's quite unfortunate that the standard of living is getting too high but majority of the youths are struggling to just survive on their own

At the end of the day, isnt it the goal of everyone? (having a place we can call our own)..

Do all the hard work, struggle throughout your 20s and 30s, keep pushing yourself until you reach your 40s, until you have accumulated enough to feel secure. Then when you have finally gathered what you need, just return to a simple life, build yourself maybe  a small but comfortable home, and live peacefully away!!!

Because in the end, this is what most of us craves. A life where we no longer have to worry about rent, debts, or sudden financial crisis. This is what i plan to achieve.

Is it because you were recently red tagged as a scammer?  Grin

Probably, but upon looking to its username it sounds like a name irl. I searched it and i'm correct, many results from different socmed sites. It's a common name in India too. And yeah, it's a shame

Upon checking OP profile, it's email was already changed, i guess he is on the process of forgetting its account profile lol.

Yep this kind of name belongs to India and  neighbouring countries (probably from Asia)! That could be the reason he wanted to delete his account because it's linked to his real name.

Already did I guess, buddy tried to scam and got caught immediately and thought of deleting his account but couldn't Lol. Lips sealed

Re: A Simple "About Bitcointalk" Page for New Users and Visitors
by
DYING_S0UL
on 20/07/2025, 20:57:28 UTC
Yeah we pretty much already have this, but it's in the HELP section as mentioned by the previous replies, and also we have a Bitcoin Wiki that had plenty of information on Bitcointalk so it's not like there isn't a lack of info surrounding it.

We may do but what percentage of new users actually surfs to those pages and boards? What do you think? At the end of the day we'll just see newbies posting in the beginners section, they dont care to read those posts. So a welcome message would certainly would be helpful when new user registers (even if it gets skipped by the user) since not all would skip it.

I have one regular practice, and that is to always hand out my kyc documents for verifications immediately after my account creations, this help me to overcome alot of stress along the way since i dont know which casino i have the luck of hitting my first 1000x multiplier that make me the jackpots winner and want to withdraw on $100Ks without problems.

So for sure anyone can do that as long as you have nothing to hide and you trust the casino, making sure you give your documents to only reputable casinos, this will definitely make alot of sense solving all this KYC issue's.

I understand your point mate, but even with KYC completed, it simply doesnt eliminate the fact that they can still ask for additional documents whenever they want, duh not so helpful. Thats just how these platforms operates and it can be pretty annoying at times. But yeah, that 1000x multiplier would be one hell of a story to tell others. Imagine bragging to others saying you turned a small bet into something massive overnight. I hope you actually win one someday, it would be amazing thing to witness.... Wink

Is it because you were recently tagged?  Grin

Lol you cannot delete your account. Just abandon it, forget about the pass and never look back. Also your account is worthless at this point, so I don't see any reasons to go through all these shits. Lastly you may use the secret question self banning method to make sure nobody else can access your account once you are gone for good.
