This is what I do now too. I’m always skeptical when someone asks for money. It’s not just on Telegram even on big platforms like Facebook, accounts can get hacked and you might end up talking to a scammer without knowing it. I had a friend who became a victim of that, so I’ve been extra careful ever since.
If it’s about money, don’t just chat. Call to confirm, better safe than sorry.
Yup! I also had similar encounters before in Facebook. Somehow the owner lost access to his account and the hacker started to ask for money from his recent chat contacts. Some even give in without verifying why and how! Since they had a conversation recently, they would just think it's the same person.
Once they know that you're into crypto (like replying a relative group) you will receive tons of spam.
I noticed that too. I have two accounts. The one that is joined in various crypto groups gets tons of unsolicited message everyday. The other one isn't involved in any group, so there I have never had a single unknown person texting.
Most subscription can be bought and these mfers can buy off it and easily imitate users.
The subscribtion is just full of nonsense. It only gives a fake sense of security and some fancy texts and stickers nothing else. That's why I have never bought one even when I could easily.
This post could be helpful to alot as we are seeing newbies getting on the forum every now and then.
I should say "thanks" to Btt and the community for posting such topics everyday. In the past, I wasn't aware that scams can happen in such ways. But now thanks to this amazing community I'm well updated with all the different scam method.
