Re: coincards.com has not delivered my gift card worth 250€ nor have they responded.

Thanks for reaching out — we’ve looked into this and can confirm the order was processed successfully on our end as soon as the payment hit two blockchain confirmations. The delivery was sent to the email provided at checkout, and our system shows it was issued without any errors.

That said, it appears the email address used may not have been able to receive the message at the time it was sent. Temporary or disposable emails can sometimes result in missed or delayed delivery due to how those services operate.

We’re here to help — if you'd like the order reissued to a different email, just reply to your support ticket with the transaction ID (TX ID) and a working address. Once we have that, we’ll get things moving right away.

Purchased a $10 Fido mobile top-up via BTC and received the code promptly to my email and redeemed the voucher successfully.

Hello Everyone!

After 5 successful years of being Canada's #1 Bitcoin to Gift Card exchange service, we have finally opened our doors to the USA.

Coincards.com was created to help users spend their bitcoins at major retailers through purchasing prepaid giftcards. We strive to have the best selection available while pushing the bitcoin economy.
Our ultimate goal is to show retailers that their customers are interested in spending bitcoins in their stores and hopefully we will be able to convince retailers that bitcoin is a viable currency and one they should consider accepting. We dream of a world where digital currencies can be used at all retailers across the world.

Some of our current USA partnered brands include:
  • Amazon.com
  • Uber & Uber Eats
  • Home Depot
  • Adidas
  • AMC Theaters
  • Domino's Pizza
  • And Many More!

We require very little information and allow up to $2000 USD per day in gift cards. All rates are based off Kraken spot pricing and we do not include any hidden fees.

Payments can be made Onchain, or Offchain as we were one of the very first merchants to support lightning network transactions.
Looking to test the Lightning Network? We offer Amazon gift cards for as low as $1, allowing you to open a very small channel for testing purposes just to get a feel of lightning!

We also can proudly say we were the very first store to be powered by BTCPay Server and remain committed to open source projects everywhere!

We are open to suggestions for new vendors and would love the feedback of the community! You can find us on Twitter under the username @Coincards

FULL PRESS RELEASE

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, I actually did not see this until now, but I wanted to make sure we addressed any concerns no matter how old they are.

The service is not well established but people are already having bad experiences on the website. You can check the official thread for more details. I wouldn't advise you to trust them with amounts you can't afford to lose.

I'm not really sure where the idea that we are not well established comes into play. We actually are very well established within Canada and have been around since 2014. We have the backing of quite a large number of bitcoiners and are very active in the Vancouver bitcoin community including sponsoring numerous educational events. We are also active in the development of BTCPay server, as we were the first merchant to be onboard to the opensource project. That being said, of course, there is a degree of trust in using any service where you need to pay before you receive goods. The majority of our products are delivered quickly within 2 confirmations or instantly with lightning. We always advise clients to try small amounts to get a feel for our service, however many of our clients are doing larger amounts as well.

I saw that you have already been answered on their thread, but note that they just say they are from Canada, they do not give more details of exactly where they are:

https://coincards.ca/about-us/

does not have relevant information

avoid using a lot of money on this site, use small amounts of money and for several times. so if they steal youm you will not lose much money

We actually are located in Surrey. You can find this here: https://coincards.ca/contact-us/ but we also are in Vancouver quite often running or sponsoring community events and conferences. We have even made our way across Canada at times attending events in Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. We obviously do enjoy our privacy, as do our clients so we do not list our office addresses, but we make sure that we excel in communications and support. We are in no way hiding who we are. Smiley

Seems like the site has gotten some pretty mixed reviews but mostly positive according to their official bitcointalk account linked by Omega (here too), and there doesn't seem to be a requirement for ID or KYC as far as I can tell in the thread I linked, so that's a bit of a plus. They seem legit as far as I can tell right now. Pretty impressive the site's been up since 2014 and the OP of the official thread still seems to be active almost five years later.

Yes, we started in 2014 and have grown year over year in the bitcoin space. We generally have really good reviews, mostly from Twitter. We try to keep an eye on everywhere we are posted about, but sometimes we miss something. We try to address any issues that might come up right away but sometimes we do miss the odd one, like this thread.

If anyone has any issues, questions or concerns, please feel free to PM me or even email us at support@coincards.com. Our support turn around is usually pretty quick and answered within a few hours.

Thanks everyone!

Is this promo still active?
Looking to purchase some giftcards with BTC.
Has anyone done a Flight Centre card?

Unfortunately, the promo is over as of mid-December.

Flight Centre gift cards usually come within 2 hours of confirmations complete during business hours as they don't yet take part in our "Quick Delivery" program yet.

Hope this helps!

We at Coincards.ca have been kind of quiet the last few months as we have been working hard on our latest update.

Just in time for the holiday season, Coincards.ca is proud to offer our new No Fee selection of gift cards.

Through our Premium Partners, Coincards.ca has secured the largest selection of Gift Cards (Approx 80+ at launch) available for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Dash (and more) in Canada at No Fee.

Our Premium Partners have recognized the value of our services and have extended the ability for us to offer their brands cards at No Fee.

As we keep moving forward, bringing on more Premium Partners, we will continue to add more cards to the No Fee selection. We also maintain our offering of an additional 200+ gift cards at the regular 5% fee as we wait for more merchants to join us in our quest for mainstream adoption!

As an added BONUS, for a Limited Time Only, Coincards.ca is offering a FREE HARDWARE WALLET with all purchases over $1500 CDN - shipped directly to yourself, a friend or family member!

* Spend $1500 - Free Bitbox
* Spend $3000 - Free Trezor One
* Spend $5000 - Free Trezor Model T

Over the last 5 years, Coincards has been at the forefront of pushing Bitcoin Merchant adoption in Canada. We continue to drive usability of cryptocurrencies and are making huge strides with merchants. Over the last 2 years we have really stepped up our game, offering:

* A selection of 250+ Gift Cards, Both Electronic and Delivered to your door.
* A selection of "Quick Delivery" cards, delivered directly within 2 confirmations on the blockchain
* Lightning network payments, purchase between $10-100 using lightning network
* New No Fee Selection, Pay only face value on a selection of gift cards

We appreciate everyone's support as we continue to push merchant adoption within Canada!

I just purchased before going out the door this morning and forgot
to use Expresspost, do not want to have any issues. Still think the
transaction is pending confirmations. Can I get it sent via Expresspost
again, can send the additional funds. Service has been great so far
and looking to use again shortly. Great support and service people!

Thanks, Race

Sure, if you haven't already just go onto Coincards.ca and send us a message. We will contact you with an amount of shipping and an address to send to.

Thanks!

Re: CoinCards.ca Experience
by

I spent $1,500(in btc) on Coincards.ca.

650 on online amazon.ca which was delivered a couple hours later.
the remaining $850 was to be sent to me by mail. (one order for $500 and a seperate one for $350)

I received an envelope for the $350 with nothing but an invoice, untampered as well.

The customer service is saying that they triple checked before sending out and it is no longer their responsibility.
Yes I'm dumb for not spending a couple extra bucks on tracked shipping but the reviews on here and their site seemed legitimate enough that people were receiving their purchases.

I'm amazed at the lack of effort in trying to find a resolution for this issue.

There is no proof of purchase that can be traced back to the cards so that i may have some sort of recourse with the card supplier, nothing, nada, ZIP.

I'm going to wait to see it the next envelope actually has something in it(probably wont that was my first order and the one that arrived empty was the following day.).

What would you suggest i do?

Thanks,
D

It seems you have multiple threads running about the same issue.

I'm sorry you have had a bad experience, however as we had mentioned your envelope was weighed at the time of shipment. This is one of our cross-checks in place to make sure envelopes are heavy enough for the total number of cards required. An empty envelope would have weighed about 10 grams and would have one stamp on it. Your envelope was stamped with 2 stamps which means it was shipped with between 30-50 grams at the time of being weighed. This is in line with shipments of 4-5 gift cards in them. There is again, no possible way that this shipment was sent empty.

As you mentioned above, you did not select a tracked shipment. All letter mail within Canada is untrackable and even Canada Post cannot help with issues of lost mail. This is why we offer the tracked shipping on all cards which can be shipped from our offices.

As mentioned in the ticket as well, our cards are issued to us activated from a central distributor. We do not have the ability to cancel cards and we are not willing to divulge our suppliers nor can we give copies of our business documents such as our invoices. No business would likely produce these documents. We did, however, go above and beyond this by in fact producing a redacted invoice which showed the confirmation of your cards being ordered.

Unfortunately, our site does state that we do not insure our shipments. We are not able to insure gift cards, due to the limitations set by Canada Post, UPS, FedEx etc.

We understand that losing any amount of money is undesirable in any circumstance, however, it is impossible that you were sent an empty invoice. As we mentioned, you might want to follow up with your local depot to see if there is a theft problem with your mail carrier. As the shipments are uninsured, there is not much more we can do once the shipment leaves our offices.

Hey All,

Wanted to post an update here as we have had a crazy busy couple of months with some seriously exciting upgrades in place.

First off, We completely overhauled and redesigned our website. We think its easier to navigate and allows us to make more customizations which allow for a better overall experience for the customer.

We recently upgraded our payment system to include SEGWIT addresses. So now when you purchase from us, you are sending to a segwit address which will help reduce network fees.

We also implemented Litecoin as a direct method of payment. No Third party processors.

We are continuously making improvements and love all feedback as well. So feel free to checkout the new https://coincards.ca or send me a message here. Cheers!

If I buy a 5x$100 physial card right now, how long will it takes to come to my mail box?

It really depends on what you are purchasing as this varies greatly on vendors. Its best to keep this type of question in our support channels so we can better keep dialogue with you and not clogup this thread:  https://coincards.ca/Contact-Us

I contacted the support, but no response.

Can you please let me know in a PM what email address you used to contact our support?

We respond to every single ticket we receive and our support queue is currently empty, so there is a good chance we responded but your email provider sent it to the spam folder.

As for PSN cards, we have had supply issues with these but are doing our best to process them as quickly as possible.

As mentioned above, we have been in business for 3+ years. During the week we have multiple full time staff to process orders within 2 hours, however during evenings and weekends our processing times are delayed and we do not process orders through the night. Physical cards do have delays, and may take 5-10 business days to ship out simply because we have such a high volume of orders right now.

Glad to see you got your card, and would really like to track down your ticket so please pm me your email address.

jsmit332 worked on our logo for our newest project. jsmit332 was professional, easy to work with and took the time to understand our requirements. He was consistently sending drafts of designs and worked with us on changes when we requested them. jsmit332 also seemed to know Crypto in general and the ethos behind decentralization and security. Definitely will be hiring again for other projects of ours. Thanks!

Do you sell the Spotify 'Premium for family'? I'm only seeing the "120/year" which I believe is only the premium for 1 user.

https://coincards.ca/spotify-electronic-gift-card?search=spotify&description=true

Thank you!

Hey there,

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a gift card option for the family terms. We are sending a gift code, which I am not sure can be used as a balance to pay off the family subscription of if it strictly is for 1 year of individual premium.

I'll try to contact Spotify and answer this though.

*UPDATE*:

Gift cards cannot be used for Family Subscriptions. Official Response from Spotify:
"It currently isn't possible to use gift cards on Premium for Family subscriptions. We also don't have any news about a gift card for the Premium for Family subscription, but we'll make sure to let the right team know it's something you'd like to see. Give us a shout if you have other questions."

Thanks!
