If you guys played around with HEX when it blew up over the summer, you remember how crazy it was. People who got in early made a ton of money because of the way HEX was structured. The entire thing was basically a referral program.

Besides that, there is a fund similar to Yearn where top traders invest your money for you, if you want to mess around with that. But I'm mostly looking at the referral system.

It's the easiest thing ever to make money with this. There is an aspect similar to Yearn where you can invest USDC in a fund, and while that's been highly profitable, it's the referral system that can make you rich.
You basically buy the token, PEAK, on Uniswap, and stake it in the PEAK staking portal. This staking aspect already is profitable with a solid APY. Then if you refer people and they join to stake, you get 10% commission on that. And every person they refer gives you commission as well.

Both projects are new (2020) DeFi projects. After researching tons of alts, the thing that stood out to me about these is that they're both doing something completely new/innovative. Orion Protocol is building a super exchange that is a culmination of all exchange order books combined. Yield Bank is building what is essentially a massive DeFi crypto bank with lending, loans where LP tokens can be used as collateral, decentralized margin/futures trading, and more. It also has a 2 token system where the price of the main token (yB) is supported through burning/buyback mechanisms.
It's still early days for these tokens, both have products on the verge of release. What do you guys think of them?

I didn't find anything innovative in this project. Just found a lot of features that were actually found in some previous defi projects.
Regardless of the amount of income you get, everything is only in tokens. I read the information that this token will be listed in the bitmax upcoming 2021. We'll see how much interest is the market for trading this token because it's the determinant of whether the passive income of investors will be valuable or not.

Even though the passive income you earn is in tokens, the tokens will have some value because liquidity will be locked in the Uniswap pool.

The project is launching a presale starting in a few days and a public sale starting in a week or two. You can ask in the Telegram group about the specifics (link in the first post).
Yield Bank's overall platform is pretty innovative and functions much like a bank, which a ton of features for depositing crypto, earning interest, etc. They also have a feature called Liquid Lend, which allows users to take out a loan against their LP tokens. Overall it's worth checking out at least, projects like have done very well recently.
I've seen 1000 DeFi projects by now and it's rare to find something this innovative, so I thought I would share/ask for opinions here. Basically, they have created a two-token system with really powerful tokenomics behind it. This project is also a passive income generator, so getting in early is huge for this type of thing.

If you had coins on there I would recommend contacting the project founders. A lot of times projects have the ability to either force-withdraw or freeze tokens, and they may be able to freeze the funds in b-ex.io's accounts. It won't solve the issue of them giving the tokens back, but at least they won't be able to use them.
I'd really like to hear their comment here. If they claim they are truly not a scam, why won't they even respond to anyone's concerns in this thread anymore?

If they dont process your withdrawal or keep asking you to do these stupid apologies Ill just contact the UFR team and let them know, they should be able to force-move your UFR from their address for you.

You call yourself a legitimate exchange, but youre holding his coins hostage until he apologizes? That is not an appropriate way for an exchange to behave at all, and makes you look like an actual scam.
If you know that he is swindling ,and doing all kinds of rumors in the community, would you still withdraw money for the scammer? Shouldn't you let the liar make something for his behavior? We will not compromise the scammer until the swindler acknowledges his mistake and publicly apologizes.

I guess this is a difference between Chinese and Western mentality. Any honest Western business has to return the money they owe to the client, even if they think the client is scammer/swindler/bastard or anything like that. If you believe clients behaviour is unacceptable, use other means to prove you right. Your personal relation with the client cannot affect your business relations to him. If you don't pay him, and require him do apologies or other unrelated actions, no Western investor will work with your exchange, as you will be considered to be unprofessional.
I assume Asian mentality is different, and Western approach will be hard for you to accept.

What drays said is accurate, this would be 100% illegal in the West. You are embarrassing yourself more by trying to force a user to behave a certain way while withholding his coins publicly. You are blackmailing him using his own coins. This is extremely unprofessional of your exchange and quite possibly illegal...you have the obligation to process his withdrawal, even if you don't agree with him.

They refuse to withdraw a users coins... I would warn anyone against using this exchange. Exchanges cannot legally force you to do something like that.

With no ICO and no fees do you think advertising will keep the platform profitable?
Our expenses are very low, so yes - ads are enough to keep us running smoothly.
Our only monetization comes from featured gigs and the single banner ad on the page. It's not much, but it's enough to keep the site running and cover server costs. We don't plan to charge service fees for using the site/payment services anytime soon. As a result, it's perfectly fine if people make deals outside of the platform.

Sure, but what I meant was that you have lots of competition by existing *crypto*-based sites already, so if you're going to have an ICO, you will need to explain to potential investors what exactly your advantage you're offering that the existing sites don't.Anyway, I might just sign up and see for myself.
We're not planning on having an ICO, actually. We don't see a real need to add a coin just for the sake of raising money, and feel the platform would be better off without it.
