No one thinking it's fake. But there are some fake coins like fake Bitcoin, Fake ETH, even Fake USDT. But OP is not talking about it. The altcoins are not fake but most of them are centralized and scams. I won't say most of them scams, but most of them are centralized and some of them are scams.

By reading this thread, I realized there is no connection between your thread and the title. Answering to your thread title, No, altcoins are not fake if you know the coin. Anyone can create a coin/token these days. Anyone can fool others by creating fake tokens. Among the fake tokens, you can still verify real coins by checking the smart contract address.

What if they go bankrupt or some authorities shut down their platform?
You should not invest your Bitcoin in some exchanges or any centralized services if you want your funds to be secured. Of course, you can invest anywhere if you can afford to lose it.

Even though LTC has some potential, it's not moving that much. Look at the last seven days chart. It's not moving at all. It increased 1% in a week while most of the altcoins/token improved. Wait, you were talking about BCH as well. I don't think Bitcoin community ever supported BCH because it's a scam coin which was created by a scammer!

We don't know what is going to happen. All is just an assumption based on what happened with other projects. Usually, people start buying these coins/tokens when they see some well reputed exchanges announce of listing. People gather as much as coin they can and wait for the listing time. Once the coin get listed in the exchange, people quickly start selling it with the hope they will make profit from it. Most of the holders lose just because of this.

The question is how well know the alt coin is. It will depend on the rank of alt coin, the usage of the alt coin. If you want to use only a specific alt coin, that will be a problem for your customers. If you allow multiple coins, that might be a good choice. But let's say you offered them your products that can be bought with Elon coin only at this moment, surely customers won't buy elon coin just to buy your product unless it's too important. Moreover, most of the cosmetics they can buy with fiat and other currencies. So, they won't take the hassle.

Actually it's hard to believe that a meme coin will be listed in some reputed exchanges. So, I stopped buying these meme tokens/coins a long time ago. If I get something for free, I still get confused that should I add another smart contract address or shouldn't I? Because I don't know if this is another scam token.

You are more like advertising for them. I haven't heard of this coin before today. So, I am unsure if this has something new other than some centralization. What I don't like is developers hold a big portion of the coins. Since I did not checked the coins and the tokenomics, I am unable to say anything in details. But it is not nice to post like you are advertising for them.

There was a trend of creating copy of Doge coin. There were bunch of coins named after some dog breads. Shiba Inu is one of them which is kinda successful project. Other than that, most of coins like Kishu Inu, and other group of Inu's were failed to gain community trust. Another trend was PEPE in the recent times. Pepe almost destroyed the bitcoin network.

You can always make money online if you have good skills. But it depends on what skill you have. If you have some special skills like Coding and designing, then you can create a gig on a marketplace and get hired. But, If you don't have special skill but you are good at writing, and your communication skill is good enough, you can search for online jobs. You never know if admins are going to disable the signature space.

There was a time when people used to like these meme tokens. It will be wrong if you say these are coins. But people started to believe that most of these tokens are scams. There is a reason behind it. Most of the token developers run away once their tokens get valuable. People loves these coins for a reason.
