Anyway I generally avoid any centralized wallet or exchange especially those that require KYC, I only use some centralized exchanges that do not require KYC to do some trades and then I transfer my assets to a non-custodial wallet or cash them out.

this is the best way, F**K all KYC and F**K governments

I fail to understand why anybody believe in these type of offerings... where somebody says they can make money, but would rather give it to you...

its like the Nigerian prince email... whenever he said to me he has $2million to send to me, I reply "im feeling generous today, so you can keep it"

...

dont believe in stupidity...

An interesting thought exercise - aimed at those who claim to be more truthful than all the other liars.

3 newborn babies lifes are at risk, to save them you have to be interviewed on the local news station where you must lie to the 3million views

do you LIE to 3m people? to save 3 lives?

If you think this lie is OK... then before you call other people liars, you might want to first seek there context and motivations...

In many industries and fields, speaking the truth isn't well-received because lies align with the beliefs of the masses and serve the interests of those in power.

Many people don't like to hear truth because they are emotionally driven and emotionally biased(not logically)

The truth also hurts.

Dont waste your time trying to educate leftwing idiots, even if you reveal to them a logical fact, their emotional biased behavior will override it.

Instead rejoice knowing that in the end the chickens come home to roost.

The action of selling a users crypto at any point in time they decide wasn't in their terms, They are fraudsters acting illegally.
I have to agree with you here, i have never used Uphold and i really hope people who have plans of using them see this thread and change their mind. If their terms of service says one can withdraw crypto into their self custodial wallet, then they have to process crypto withdrawals and not block the account for months.

Then selling the crypto arbitrarily and refunding the customer fiat is borderline insane, how did they come to the conclusion that that is the resolution to customer wants, i recommend people stay away.

I agree, it shouldnt be legal, its these type of things that reveal your governments do not work in your interest, they are completely against you...

They should be investigated & shutdown by the SEC / FCA, but likely they dont care.

Trustpilot and reddit show uphold have sold alot of peoples crypto without prior warning...

I can also see that uphold are paying for fake 5 star reviews on Trustpilot... the proof is just by reading the actual review - it doesnt align with what they offer, its vague nonsense, Whereas the 1star reviews have a ticketnumber with uphold even verifying the customer.

If it is a wallet from 2015, you surely had Legacy addresses because Segwit was activated in 2017.

This is a possible cause of why you cant see your coins.

Dont panic, they will still exist you just need the right derivation path and protocols etc.

For Mullvad users who solely rely on the OpenVPN protocol like me, in a year's time [roughly], WireGuard will be the only protocol on Mullvad: Removing OpenVPN 15th January 2026
- Considering that I have to switch to another provider soon, I wonder if someone could also recommend a good VPN for online gaming (NordVPN was awful while Mullvad is somewhat okay).

wireguard is the superior protocol over OpenVPN.
much less lines of codebase make it more auditable to find bugs, its also faster and more modern.

OpenVPN has a huge codebase, its slow and clunky.

Uphold was crap since the start. It was a bad idea to use that shit service. I started using brave browser thinking maybe I could make some crypto watching some ads but I quickly noticed it is impossible to withdraw because Uphold asking for docs. From that moment I shut brave rewards feature off completely and used brave without watching any ads.

Uphold was the worst decision brave browser ever made. I am glad they are dying. I heard brave will come up with a new better prize distribution system and I hope it works this time. It is sad to see such a good idea is getting crippled by a shit service.

Long live firefox w/ ublock Origin + canvas block or librewolf
Brave is too profit-driven. they couldnt care about users bad experiences.

At least you received something and they didn't simply stole coins from your account.

I lost a huge amount due to being locked out of my account, They decided to sell my crypto at a time when it had temporarily dropped.
They also only answered my tickets after 6 weeks as I started to make noise.
I sent complaints to the FCA, Financial Ombudsman, and European Commission... Suddenly Uphold decide to respond.

Problem with most modern online services is lack of real actual support, they mostly have stupid bots and not enough human work force.

Calling it a bot is too generous. Uphold doesnt use such intelligence, they have a 2 byte bash script that says "If Customer send to external wallet, BLOCK ALL ACCOUNT ACCESS"
No AI needed at Uphold, They demad your 3d biometric data but it doesn't mean anything for your account validity, much be some other purpose  Wink Roll Eyes

Keeping coins on any centralized service is a risk.

Why do you think they want it on their exchange? Because when it does get hacked via an inside job, they have more treasure to loot.

How's their terms and conditions?
Was such conditions stated?
Wow they sent your money to your bank account
That's a first in my Book meaning it's they make use of a custodial wallet.

Your reply implies you haven't understood my post at all, let me make it clearer for you.

I read Upholds terms and conditions, which state they permit a customer to send their crypto to a self-custody wallet of their choice.

I actually went one step further and emailed Uphold asking : "if I buy bitcoin using Uphold, can i send it to my own custodial wallet" they replied saying "yes."

However they dont practice what they breach, their terms and conditions mean nothing.

When i deposited funds, bought btc, and and tried to send to my wallet, my account was restricted for 1.5months.

They then decided on their own behalf to sell my crypto and send the funds back to my account.

The action of selling a users crypto wasnt in their terms, They are fraudsters

A warning for those considering using Uphold.com for crypto services.

Despite Uphold stating they let you send crypto to an external wallet, if you try they will restrict all account access and ignore you thereafter.

For 6 weeks they ignored my tickets requesting an explanation for my account restriction.
Eventually they replied "we can no longer offer you an account", Uphold then decided to sell all my crypto holdings and send resulting fiat to my bank account

Uphold doesn't mind when you deposit your money and buy crypto through them as they earn HUGE from the hidden fees they charge via there overpriced crypto offerings, however when you try to send it to your own wallet so that you actually own it, they will case you massive stress and frustration.

How is this legal? they can ignore you for so long and even sell your holdings?

Their trustpilot is full of people having the same experience as myself - https://www.trustpilot.com/review/uphold.com?stars=1

examples of how this exchange treats its customers

Mirror #1 : https://i.imgur.com/quaBAsw.png
Mirror #2 : https://i.postimg.cc/MK2psLg8/UPHOLD-AVOID.png

The scam - They dupe users into buy / sell crypto whereby they profit from their hugely inflated marketprices

They state they have no fees, its a lie as the fees are camoflaged via a much higher/lower marketprice than the true marketprice

They also wont let you send to an external wallet, when you try you get restricted.

My advice to you is avoid entirely Bitmain Antminer products. They break frequently

As the guys above suggested, Avalon is much better, or better still is whatsminer.

If you do go the antminer route, expect repair and repair, it isnt cheap, and if you decide it yourself, expect to pay $1000 minimum in repair tooling.

Is it bad prdouct design from Bitman, When 1 chip fail, remaining good wont hash
by

After having non-stop problems with Bitmain miners, I was curious at the general communities thoughts.

It seems common sense that the miner software/hardware should still operate with 64 working chips, despite 1 being broken.

Instead we have total downtime of entire hashboard.

Seems like sloppy product design.

I cant justify buying bitmain products again, My experience with Whatsminer and Avalon is the products have 99% uptime.
I cannot say the same with bitmain, utter trash

a better coercion would've been to credit your viabtc acc with $500,000, withdraw $100,000 to your wallet as an automaticly approved bounty admin fee, then email them showing them your proof.

instead youve put it in the open, numerous bad actors will be applying it everywhere they can.

Fella,
forget the miner itself...

The Miner produces shares, right?
Those shares are interpreted on Pool side as valid, and then they account for the Hashrate Pool side.... Right?

My method tells the POOL that the actual hashrate is BIGGER or HIGHER, by 'negotiating' the payment of each share!

Pool registers a Higher Hashrate and thus pays more!

Why dont you use it to your advantage to get rich like abromovich?

let me know via pm
