Re: CoinDCX got hacked! $44.2M Drained?

It seems Indian exchanges are getting targeted now, which implies there is an influx of users in exchanges as well and funds getting piled up here.

Dont store coins on exchanges, none of them are ever safe, wake up one morning and you see your coins in limbo - this should not happen to any of us.
Atleast with international exchanges like binance we have chance to withdraw the crypto to our wallet despite the huge taxation but with Indian exchanges we can't even withdraw at all so I don't see any reason to use them unless the patriotism forces the users to choose Indian over others but it's not a convincing reason in my opinion, if we buy crypto then we must be able to hold it in our custody and these exchanges don't let us to do.

CoinDCX announces white hat recovery bounty after $44M hack

In an effort to recover the stolen funds, CoinDCX CEO Sumit Gupta announced a new recovery bounty program that offers white hat hackers up to 25% of any recovered funds they can help trace and retrieve.

“The exposure was from our own reserves, and we have already absorbed it through our corporate treasury,” said Gupta in a Monday X post,

I guess that's the best way to stay fit + hit the gym.

You don't even have to hit gym tbh, plenty exercises can be done at home — push ups, squats, pull ups (you can hang wherever possible in your house or get a pull up bar), jump rope (costs ~150 rupee on Amazon), etc.
Yes, atleast we need to fit in a way that we can do all our activities on our own and doesn't need to have abs. Cheesy

But our foods are highly carb and often lack protein sources which is one of the main reason for obesity and type 2 diabetes, we should consume less carbs and increase protein source whether as veggies or from meat (that's different politics  Shocked).

I guess we can't really trust any Indian exchanges anymore, with the growing adoption the exchange should focus more on improving their security for the KYC data as well as the funds but it looks like they are trying to not being act transparent and letting the users know what's happening.

Yes, people should withdraw whatever balance left in it even though they claim users funds are safe.

Everytime I sit in rickshaw, I feel relieved to reach the destination, that's how reckless they drive.
You should try it occasionally, not just to enjoy the experience, but to build resistance. Grin

Folks from around the world go on adventure travel once in a year but for us it just happens in day-to-day scenarios. Rickshaw rides are not just a commute, but an adventurous ride, where we have to face things like roller coasters from potholes, sudden lane changes with no signal at all, and brakes that almost kiss the rear end of the vehicle.

Yeah, living in India is like playing video game on hard mode and if you are general category then lol you are fucked and it's a question of when and not if. Take new proposed law from Congress " rohith vemula act".
To live in India, we need a special immunity power, for example street foods. I doubt someone from another country who eats street foods will have severe stomach upsets and recently, someone from Norway posted a video. And the same goes for traffic, we can't expect a foreigner to commute in a metro city's traffic. Grin

We are conditioned to live in such mode for very long time.

Politicians and their shenanigans never stop. If you start watching then you will not need any reality show to watch in life.
And sad thing is, people forget everything when they're being manipulated by the religion and this is what both the national parties use at the time of elections. Smiley

Real problems in our country that need serious attention are Corruption, inflation rate, increasing fuel prices and suicides of farmers, unemployment, and many more but they simply use religious hatred while election campaigning that distracts people from the actual problem for enough period and unfortunately it works every time. Sad

Not just lane every sort of decipline and civic sense is joke to all of us desis and it would be weird thing to say but being honest, I feel if someone following every rule all the time and that too in our system and environment then they will be left behind because we have too many people lol and competing for literally every freaking thing.

Desi Mindset: Anyone who follows the rules is just stupid.

Everything is so normalized, from cutting the queue, bribing to get a signature and the system is completely broken, while the population makes everything so competitive, which is why even if anyone who has the intention of following rules can't do it forever.

Re: Bump Fee - Error! What's the fix?
by

Eventually, TX confirmed on its own without the need for the bump fee.

Even if the fee is increased excessively, the same error is the there until it is changed to preserve payment.
Are you saying it's not possible to use the "decrease payment' option when bumping the fee at all?
As long as the replacement transaction is valid and meets nodes policy rules (including BIP125 requirement), the server should accept the transaction and broadcast it.

Looks like it, I tried a few times and the same error appears so it must be a bug or something because the bump fee should work irrespective of decrease fee or preserve fee as long as the fee paid is higher than the previous one right?

Let's say if I used 1sat/vb and now increasing it to 2sat/vb, I don't find any reason why it shouldn't broadcast it.

Bump Fee - Error! What's the fix?
by
LucyFurr
on 16/06/2025, 20:52:30 UTC
Due to the sudden spike in the mempool one of my TX was stuck and lagging for a few hours now and when I tried the Bump fee (increase fee) by choosing decrease payment instead of preserve, then I ran into this error.

And what does it mean "It doesn't meet the rules"? Is it about the node setting that I am currently connected to? So switching to a different server will fix this?

P.S: All the UTXOs used were confirmed, so it's not about pending parent transactions.

I have my opinion set on technical failure and not terrorist angle, but let us see what the black box ends up giving. Lets not speculate on the cause, it will take time to uncover.

Just for those who want to help, local blood donation camps have been set up and able bodied are requested to donate, so any of you are nearby please do.

Experts believe that both engines lost thrust immediately after takeoff could be the reason. And it went fatal due to the full fuel tank, which is around 90 tonnes.

Yes, that's the recommended way.

When you start trusting a third party to manage your keys then it becomes custodian wallet.

You can use coinswitch (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinswitch.kuber). I have been using it since last couple months after colodax was shutdown and it has been working good.
Thanks I will check that out.

I am exploring what are the options to convert crypto to INR without involving p2p because bank freeze doesn't have any ending at the moment so for the safety of funds I am looking for options apart from CoinDCX which seems the only exchange with INR pair but they are not seem to be clean.

12.5L cap limit of no income tax applies to crypto?
by

I would like to know a little clarification on this matter. Under the new tax regime the tax slab of 0% tax increased to 12.5L but when I did some research it doesn't apply to the crypto gains. Means even if I traded crypto and made 1000INR profit then I am bound to pay 30INR for tax irrespective of my tax slab, right?
