What is Windows version ?

This is a good reference for newbies that is curious about hardware wallets. Aside from some articles in the web that also talks about hardware wallets. I might make a topic in the future and refer this topic as a point of info. Also having a hardware wallet is a must if you are into crypto for security purposes also in longevity.

Yes my friend understanding everything about cryptocurrency is really vast. Though no need to rush things just to learn many things in one go so try to learn or familiarize the suggested topics above by the other members included. Do it one at a time from the basics until you can get along with the topics you're interested in.

Yes you are not wrong but not all topics are easy to understand in the first place and it may lead them to confusion. Some newbies are maybe fast learners like after seeing a thread they would know the "hang" of it. Some could be still processing or can't relate in a specific topic. That's why reading the starting or the supporting concepts is essential.

Ang iniisip ko nalang talaga sa simula palang pag mga ganyang networking companies ponzi scheme na at iwas na talaga, ang dami rin kasing pipilitin ka mapaniwala through their pictures and processes. Hindi pa ako sure kung meron pa talaga mga networking companies na legit din na credited tulad ng SEC at hindi ponzi scheme ang hidden strategy. Naging mindset ko tuloy na basta networking scam agad. Sabi nga ang mga pilipino mahilig talaga sa easy or quick money at nabanggit na rin ni tulfo about dyan "if its too good to be true, then it is not true" which is ganun naman talaga.
Ang galing din kasi ng strategy nila na nakakapagpa-billboard pa sila at kumukuha ng celebrities kaya mukha talagang kaaya-aya at mukhang tunay, pero sayang lang sa mga tao na under recruitment na wala silang idea. Sayang yung legitimacy ng business pero walang integrity and fairness sa nasabing scheme na wala naman talaga.

Marami na rin akong kaklase at kakilala na interested sa frontrow na yan or any other networking companies na ganyan ang style. Iniisip ko nalang din na hanggat sa wala na silang tao makukuha o mauuto mawawala na rin yan unless may iba silang paraan para tumatakbo pa rin ang business schemes na yan. Magaling sila mag "sugarcoat" ng mga sinasabi kahit sabihin nating legit business sila na but in the bigger picture hindi legit ang pamamaraan ng pagtakbo nila.

Yes I do since making good quality post is also important, I also need to learn and utilize formats in content creation(e.g. thread,post,articles) to improve constructive content. I really need practice in everything here while learning some stuff. I also hope that most newbies who are not get used to in a forum just like this must learn these things first.

I forgot to put that since I just see the commonly asked question every time I read topics in this Beginners & Help section. Though for me I see less and less talks about "What is bitcoin" but more of "everything they should learn about".
I assume they might have an idea what is bitcoin in the first place and they'll go here to know what other things about it or maybe they are not just satisfied on the articles on the net.

We all know that newbies heard about this forum because they mostly see high ranking members are earning cryptocurrencies through signature campaigns, bounties, airdrops, goods/services, and etc. Most but not all newbies tend to stop reading and just spam what they just knew within their own perception and some just read along without understanding more of the article or subject.

These topics are commonly recommended by most members for newbies to read and also because it is necessary:

• Rules - "the obvious one"
• Risks of gambling/scams and how to avoid one
• Concepts of mining
• Safekeeping cryptowallets and accounts
• Purpose of having multiple accounts
• What are merits and how to earn them

and if I miss some topics that are really need to read not "just read" please tell me. It is also a big help to me and other newbies to broaden our knowledge here in the forum.

We may have the same experience and I have heard about bitcointalk and bitcoin itself though articles and websites but I didn't dig down deep to it. so maybe if I started earlier too then I might have invested something big here. Then a friend and a classmate of mine in 2016 finally discussed everything about it and I took a heads up to go in this forum.

Learn and earn must be the real goal of the beginners just like me. Even though if I feel like I have enough knowledge about crypto, it is still not enough because I want to know more because I want to have an application of it from my gained knowledge to the real world like in business. Maximizing it's utility and potential while taking care of the risks.

As a beginner I admit that it's really true that we're here just to earn because the headline or the title of articles when you search about bitcoin in the internet is always "How to earn","How to get rich with-",etc.
Now for me all I focus is learning so I can share knowledge and gain another knowledge from others. Then earning through here would be optional for me since I have a decent income.

Mostly PC parts ang lagi ko binibili kasi matagal na akong PC Enthusiast/Hobbyist kaya pag may naipon ako diretso upgrade na. Dagdag ko na rin ang habits ko tuwing bibili ng mga piyesa. Una pag may baon ako na sobra or mga binebenta online like my long running personal business na buy and sell, yung mga sobra nilalagay ko sa cryptowallet then hodl and wait.

Siguro long term after pag-iipon ng crypto baka magtayo ako ng small time business like cafeteria/compshop with wifi which is still on-demand pa rin. At kung sa sasakyan or bahay baka hindi na. Mamahalin or mumurahing sasakyan basta matibay at pangmatagalan pareho lang yun nagagawa naman an purpose eh at saka personal preference nalang ika-nga.

Malaking tulong talaga ang investment sa crypto as a passive income or sideline besides active jobs. Magpapractice din ako ng content creation about everything including bitcoin para quadruple ang earning basta humanly manageable.

I am a newbie here too a long time ago since registration. As a fellow newbie just like you, please refrain from thinking that this forum can be only used as a source of your additional income. Just read some stuffs and if you have ideas that can contribute to the forum then you can share it.

Learn the fundamentals first and then you can earn something. I have read someone's post here that said "Bounties are just a bonus" and that's true. You know if you have something you can offer in this forum like services then you can make it as an option to earn.

My tips for you to summarize everything I said:
1. Read the necessary things like the RULES itself.
2. Share/Post ideas that can help and never spam.
3. Gain reputation by doing good
4. Offer services that can be on-demand in the forum (e.g.signature designs)
5. Join bounty campaigns and also for gaining experience promoting a campaign.

That's it, also patience is the key to everything here.

Hello everyone, I have a problem regarding my status as a Jr. Member. I am a returning member after 5-6 months and I don't know why I was Newbie when I was already a Jr. Member. Is there a new update to the forum that there is a certain number of merits or posts to become a Jr. Member? or is this just a penalty for not being active weekly or daily? Please correct me or enlighten me for anything that I miss.

Well, merit system breaks that tip #1 even you do that for a minimum of 2 years unless you are given a lot of merits for those post/ideas/contexts you made. Also faucets are massively low to give you satoshis or any crypto-currency units unless you have to earn a little to pay something like a fee for making an account or something that requires a small bit of cryptocurrency units?

This is still the only guide that is preferably helpful when it comes to newbies looking for some guides to earn something from scratch. Just don't invest into something that you didn't actually know. (take note of that newbies!).

You'll just get entry-level privileges such as joining signature campaigns and many more but not all.

It would be hard to explain crypto-currencies for kids but for teenagers can be considerable, but I can probably simplify it so they can understand what cryptocurrency is. So this is it with the difference between the real money and the crypto-currency:

Cryptocurrency
                       - this is a type of money that is digital, that can be used to trade for goods and services (obviously).
                       - this is decentralized and that means it is not controlled by a person or a group.
                       - can be considered as the "money of the internet universe or cyberspace".
                       - can be potentially stored anywhere just like credits.
                      
Real Money
                       - this is a type of money that is physically present
                       - centralized that means controlled by the government and the bank.
                       - also called as fiat currency or the typical money of the people of course
                       - can be also stored in an exchange to credits.

Since cryptocurrencies are decentralized that means it is not controlled by anyone so it would be free to transfer/share/lend currencies without being controlled.

If you are not investing on that said ICO then you have nothing to lose. No risk will be taken if you don't invest on an ICO. Only time is your investment if you are joining one.

Thanks everyone for the info about this topic, I just feel unfair for those people who do this kind of thing that aim to earn a lot by any means. And now I know that having different accounts that joins different campaigns is quite allowed but it is not recommended by higher members. Also thanks for giving some tips on how to know if someone violate those rules so I can report them together with substantial and concrete evidence. I hope this might help clean up the forum and lessen the abusive members.
