Re: Bittrex Unable To Recover My 27k Coins
by

on 08/12/2017, 22:00:39 UTC
Hi, I used my old tag/memo to send 27 thousand lumen to bittrex, but the deposit was missing last few days, and Bittrex saying they will not able to recover my coins.
But i just wondering this is the same tag/memo i used last week. how can there be a new tag/memo?

Now my $4000 worth coin lost. i saved all these coin last 3 months. now it's gone. really feeling bad & mad at myself. i should have double checked. So anyone out there, if you send coins, make sure you check your address as well as memo. it changes every time.

Addresses will never change at Bittrex.  Please let me know your ticket number and I will take a look to make sure the agent gave you the proper response.  If you did indeed send to a different memo then what is on your account, there will be no way to claim that deposit if the memo belongs to another user.  If the memo does not belong to anyone, I will be able to work with you credit the coins.

Re: Strange ETH Wallet issues on Bittrex.
by
chiznitz
on 06/11/2017, 02:31:21 UTC
So I sent about 0.04 ETH to my Bittrex ETH Wallet. After two days, the deposit still hasn't shown up on my Bittrex account. I searched the address on Etherscan and it showed that the transaction was confirmed and that the balance was what it should be, it just wasn't showing up on Bittrex.

I thought maybe the deposit was too small to show up, so I traded for some more ETH on Bittrex itself. The amount I got through the trade showed up on my Bittrex account immediately, but the 0.04 was still missing.

So I then looked up the address again and the old balance was still correct, but the Bittrex transaction did not show.

It's almost as if there are two different wallet on the same address, one linked to my Bittrex account and the other not.

Anyone else had a problem like this?

Any ideas on fixing it?

I've tried but got no response from Bittrex support.

Nothing strange about that at all.  The instructions tell you that your ETH address on the block chain must hold greater than .1 ETH before the coins will be credited.  This has actually been lowered to .05 ETH, but since you stated you only have .04 ETH in the address, they won't be credited until you bring the address balance above .05 ETH.  The address balance is completely separate from any balance you already have in your account.

hope this helps!

Thanks,

Ryan @ Bittrex

Re: Stuck holding USDT (Tether) on Bittrex
by

on 20/10/2017, 19:48:45 UTC
Hi there,

I stupidly converted my ETH to USDT, thinking it was US currency. My hope was to trade it for another altcoin. I didn't see the tool where you can trade coin for coin. It turns out Bittrex doesn't allow any sort of conversion or sale of USDT. Not entirely sure why they would allow people to buy it.

Anyways, there is no point in making a tether account. I need to convert this within Bittrex. Can someone help? Their support has been unresponsive so far.

There are a bunch of USDT markets at Bittrex, not sure why you are having an issue.

Hello there
do anybody knows up to how much with enhanced verified account i can wire transfer to bittrex?
i need to know the maximum amount

There is no maximum amount at this time.  Wires must be $100,000 or greater and currently we are only offering USDT for purchase.
appreciate your response.
so Can we  deposit 300 or 400,000$ each week without any porblem?
and buying USDT then we can buy BTC and Etherum
right?

That's correct.  Unless we say that wires are closed.  At that point we would also return the wire.

The process has not changed.  Bittrex has been using the process outlined for over 3 years.

Accounts do not just become disabled on their own for no reason.

There are many reasons it can happen and they are listed here.

Re: Bittrex 'Bid/Ask Rate' vs. 'Actual Rate'
by
chiznitz
on 02/10/2017, 20:37:41 UTC
In ‘My Order History’, what is the meaning of ‘Actual Rate’?  Also, how is ‘Costs / Proceeds’ field computed?

As I understand it (or so I thought), 'Actual Rate' is the actual rate I paid instead of what I bid and ‘Costs / Proceeds’ = ‘Actual Rate’ x ‘Units Filled’

However, it seems that currently it computes ‘Costs / Proceeds’ = ‘Bid/Ask’ x ‘Units Filled’

If Bittrex keeps the difference, this feels a bit scammy..

Is this normal for exchanges, can someone clarify this. Thanks.

Hi,

You can use the following template to figure out the prices.  Bittrex does not keep anything, the math always works out perfectly using the equation below.

You paid for

The includes commission so subtract .25% from this amount

* .0025 =

Subtract the commissions

- fee =

You now have the price of each coin without commissions, divide that by the number of coins and you get the actual rate.

/ = Actual Rate

Doing any multiplication or division of 2 eight digit numbers will always lose precision, we truncate at the 8th decimal place.

So, does anyone know how I can disable the new IP verification on Bittrex? I get that message everytime I want to log in at home and it's really starting to annoy me.

Strange.
Do you use a dynamic ip? Because I never have to verify, at all. And I log in frok different devices. Have you tried verifying your account or use 2fa?

The external IP should be static, but the confirmation e-mails show different IPv6 IP's every time, even though my modem and wifi routers haven't been rebooted between restarts of my laptop / browser.

I do have 2FA enabled, but I still get the annoying IP-thing every time. I understand if they want to check if I log on from a different location, but if I have been logging on from the same device (on the same location) several times, that IP verification shouldn't be enabled, IMO.

Hi,

The IP Verification and IP Whitelisting features are two separate things.  IP Whitelisting can be done from your settings and this just tells us what IP Addresses are allowed to withdrawal on the account.

The IP Verification page you may get at login only displays when the servers see you coming from an IP address that was not previously seen on your account.  We made a page that allows you to check the IP Address we see your connection from: https://www.bittrex.com/home/whatismyip

Even though you may think you have a different public IP address, your ISP may route in a way that shows our servers a different IP.  You should also check your IP at the link I posted, if it matches the one in the email you're safe to click the link to enable the IP.

OMG!

I'm so stressed. I commented on facebook, slack, forum, now I dont know what todo anymore.

Inside my account contain almost $300K worth of coins. Please unlock my account so I can start trading.

I am in the same position. No reply to my 2 opened status tickets for 3 days. Whats wrong with Bittrex ? Anyone have an idea about that ? I bet there are some Bittrex admins in this forum.

I apologize for the delay in support responses.  We have received enormous growth over the past two weeks.  I have just hired a bunch more support agents who are coming up to speed.  The growth combined with all of the new phishing campaigns has been leading to longer then intended support time.  I'll continue hiring until we have 24/7 chat support, that's the goal.

Please be aware that over the last week we have had an enormous amount of growth and are currently training many new agents to help provide faster support.  These new agents are coming online daily and will help us get back to the support we want our customers to have and the support we would want if we were customers.  Training may take some time but rest assured we are addressing the issue as fast as possible.

If you need immediate assistance please join us on slack, you can go to http://slack.bittrex.com and enter your email for an invite.  Once you are in slack you can join #customer-support and post your ticket #.

Re: Bittrex Account Hacked - 2FA was active
by
chiznitz
on 07/08/2017, 14:15:52 UTC
Check your history. Probably you didn't enter your username, password and 2fa code on Bittrex site but on a site with a very similar address.

How did you get to their site? Searching Google for their name or address? Writing the website address?

Hello poordeveloper

Thanks for the info with the similar address...i will check this when im back home from work.

And i got on their site by typing "bittrex" in the address bar of my browser and then i got to the loggin page...as usual since i got that address im my browser history.

Hey all.  Even with 2FA you need to be careful where you enter your credentials.  Typing bittrex into the URL bar on google will lead you to phishing sites as advertisements. Here is an example of two fake sites showing up on google advertisements.

These sites have you enter your username/password and 2FA code, the hacker then logs into your account.  One of these sites also makes you wait 2 minutes since there is a 2 minute withdrawal freeze after a login. The sites then tell you your login was incorrect even though the hackers have now logged in.  You then enter another 6 digit code as asked by the phishing site and they use this code to withdrawal your funds.

Please make sure to bookmark https://www.bittrex.com and never search for the site.

Unfortunately, these advertisements cannot be prevented and take some time to take down with official requests.

Re: Why is Bittrex taking 20 confirmations to deposit BCash?
by
chiznitz
on 07/08/2017, 01:31:33 UTC
When trying to dump my BCash for more BTC, I am faced with several problems. One of them, is needing to send a transaction for each public key in order to maintain privacy.

The other is, how slow BCash is. Bittrex is taking 20 confirmations for deposits, which means it will take me forever to dump the entirity of my wallet.

I have seen other exchanges, that don't require 20 confirmations. Why does Bitttrex require 20 confirmations, while others like Bitfinex seem to take less? Is it safe to take less than 20 confirmations when depositing? Please help.

Now that the network is finding blocks more smoothly we have reduced confirmations to 10.

Re: Bittrex: ACCOUNT_DISABLED
by
chiznitz
on 07/08/2017, 00:14:38 UTC
My account is enabled again. It was disabled due to being legacy and being inactive.  This is a security mechanism to protect old accounts against hacking and being sold for the legacy withdrawal limit. A very good thing! Less good is that you have to send in a ticket and then go to slacker to get the ticket answered.

Glad I could help  Cheesy

I think they might have somehow missed your ticket though, as I sent a ticket first which got a reply within a few minutes. Might have been a bot reply though, as it seemed like a generic one.

Really sucks that you have to go to slack for good support, but hopefully they'll improve soon.

I've looked into it as well.   We typically get to this type of issue very fast, however, in some circumstances a ticket may not get the attention required.  We will continue to improve our process to make sure that doesn't happen ;(

Re: The best exchange?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend how to use Bittrex,  I have been using Changelly to purchase XEM, XRP and few other coins but there rates are no good and was told to use Bittrex.

Have created a fully Verified account but I don't see any option to add funds?  Maybe if someone can explain I am based in Scotland, UK and can I pay via Bank Transfer or Debit Card?

Thanks

Hi,

We currently only support wire transfers of $10,000 or greater for the purchase of BTC, USDT, or ETH.  We are actively working to add full USD markets and the ability to deposit/withdrawal USD without needing to perform a wire.

If you are interested in a wire please visit our support site https://support.bittrex.com and click "Submit a request" You can then choose the wire transfer form and we will send you the instructions for your wire.

You can also find some information on how to use the site on that webpage as well.

Thanks,

Re: Bittrex Account Hacked
by
chiznitz
on 06/08/2017, 23:26:23 UTC
Yeah, I read an article not to activate 2fa on bittrex, here is one reason. The hacker can withdraw without email confirmation. I plan to activate 2fa but I cancel after I read the article.

http://highoncoins.com/cryptocurrency-trading-tips/do-not-use-two-factor-authenticatoin-with-bittrex/

Your account is way more secure if you use 2FA.  I recommend enabling it if you still do not have it enabled.  The guy in the link you posted was actually sharing his account with a "friend"

When visiting Bittrex please make sure to bookmark or manually type in https://www.bittrex.com Google currently returns phishing sites as advertisements for Bittrex.  These sites look just like ours and have been tricking users into entering their credentials and multiple 2FA codes which are good for 2minutes.  Typically they have the user enter their code and then tell them logins are congested and to please wait, at which point the user again enters their code.  This means the attacker has entered their account on the first try and then now has a 2FA code to withdrawal for 2 minutes.  Below is an example google search.

Re: Bittrex is Holding My Funds - Support Not Answering - Bittrex SCAM
by
chiznitz
on 06/08/2017, 22:27:36 UTC
I will try to make this short, cos nobody have time for boring posts.
Im daily trader, trading crypto since 2013. Probably used all exchanges, but never Bittrex( thats before Aug 1st)
I had accoount on Bittrex, not sure when i open it, but never got any funds.
Couple of weeks ago i got email from Bittrex with login information to my account from IP that i didnt recognized.
I didnt have 2fa enabled, so I clicked the link in my acc. and disable it. After that i enable 2fa, changed password and send
ticket to support and asked if there is anything else that i can do. No answer, but website states that account will be disabled for
at least 24hours after contacting support. Great, np, i had no funds, so OK. Life goes on.

Last week, fork was happening and since my funds were in Poloniex, and they didnt say anything about matching BTC with BCC,
I decided to transfer my funds, 2.77BTC, to Bittrex. And that's what i did.
Fork happened, got matched with 2.77BCC, and went out for biz(doesn't matter)
When i got back home, BTC-BCC trading already started, so i was pissed off that i didnt catch the wave from bottom,
but price was still great to buy, 0.12, with LOTS of volume. It was already late, so i decided to go all in with my funds and go to sleep.
I setup everything, went allin with 2.77BTC, clicked confirm, and guess what?Huh ACCOUNT DISABLED. WTF???
Than it hit me that couple of weeks ago i dissable it and its not enabled yet. FUCK. Whatever, i went to sleep.
When i wake up, BCC was 0.4, x3+ from my wanted trade. Fuck it, lost 6-7btc. At least i was left with 2.77BCC that i was matched.
I decided to sell them at $1000, setup everything, clicked confirm and yes, ACCOUNT DISABLED.
Account is still disabled, my funds are locked, support is not answering. I also tried contacting Richiela on Twitter, LinkedIn and its
same as support, NO ANSWER. For the past 5-6 days im writing to support and they are ignoring me.
If anybody have any info on how to contact Bittrex or how to resolve this, it would be much appreciated.

I apologize for the delay in response to your issue.

There are many reasons why an account can be locked without notice. Examples include, but are not limited to, abusive API usage, suspicious activity such as logging in from a different ip range on a dormant account, or knowingly or unknowingly participating in illegal trades, and in rare cases accounts are disabled when we see a suspicious deposit.

We understand the value of privacy and the concern this may cause you. We treat your information with a high level of care and respect.

Unfortunately, when suspicious activity occurs on an account, we have a legal duty to both investigate and know the identity of the user. This is especially the case if your account is a legacy account.

Hi bittrex !!! I signed up to your site 3 months ago , all was ok i accepted your terms about 1 btc withdraw limit per day for unverified account. And now suddenly you change that for 0.025 btc without any notice. When i and most of us would know that we would never deposit nothing to your site. You should give us some time to make a decision 1 month or something like that. For now i only want to withdraw all my btc and stop using your site. When you will raise withdraw limit to 1 btc like befor ? I don't want to withdraw my btc for 2 years or so.

And what about that Ryan will you rise that limit to normal 1 btc or at least give us some more time to withdraw ?

Unverified account limits will remain where they are now for legal purposes.  Please preform a Basic or Enhanced verification to increase the limits.

Basic verification does not access for anything that is not already a public record.  If that fails you can also verify via SMS on your mobile device.

I must however say that Bittrex, among many other exchanges, are having problems way too often.

I posted a thread about this here.

Hi,

The only issue we are having is a delayed support time due to an enormous amount of new users over the last few days.  I have new support agents starting almost daily to help handle the ticket load.

Unfortunately, when suspicious activity occurs on an account, we have a legal duty to both investigate and know the identity of the user. This is especially the case if your account is a legacy account.

The majority of issues you see that people post are user error or lack of following instructions.

If you are not getting the support you need please come to our slack channel, you can get an invite here, http://slack.bittrex.com, then you will be able to join our slack, https://bittrex.slack.com Once in slack you can join #customer-support and post your ticket and an agent will get back to you.

I apologize for the delay in support and promise we are doing nothing but making sure we continue to hire agents to get to customer concerns in a more timely fashion.
