Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season
by

From the news reaching the rounds, PSG is sending an appeal to UEFA regarding their Tuesday Champions League Semi final first leg fixture against Arsenal. Before now UEFA always allows 5% of the tickets allocation to the away fans in it's competition, Arsenal has a stadium capacity of 60k of which 5% should be 3k but they only gave 2,500 tickets to PSG fans which is not up to the stipulated number. When they reached out to Arsenal, Arsenal said they can't give more than that citing it for security reasons because the London marathon will be held on Sunday. That's a silly excuse, are they trying to shut the away fans or what. Why do they want to bend the rules now? Out of 60,704 stadium capacity you are still finding it difficult to allow just 3,000 away fans in.
https://www.football365.com/news/psg-appeal-uefa-unfair-arsenal-champions-league-semi-final-turmoil

It is clearly unfair to PSG because the 5% is already set by UEFA and always required that 5% of the stadium's capacity go to away fans, so there is no reason to justify what arsenal did to PSG in this case. and regarding the security issue, I don't think that is something that needs to be used as an excuse for this, because if they really care about security then they can tighten the security more instead of reducing the 500 seats quota from PSG.

Re: Bitcoin investment, a new business, your advice.

I don't have any business ideas for you, but your alternative to enter the agro farm is quite good, because now the demand for organic agricultural products and local agro-industry products continues to increase and it can be a good opportunity for you to earn money from there.

while your plan to invest in bitcoin is the right thing. you plan to invest monthly and consistently to do it in the long term with 80-90 dollars is still a reasonable amount to start with, especially you said that if you have the opportunity to get more money, you can invest more money each month. that should be right. it's just you who should be able to adjust it to your financial condition. don't push it too much. you have to prepare emergency money and don't be reckless to sell when the market is bearish.

there's not much I can suggest, your investment plan is right and you should be able to see business opportunities in the area where you live. but my only suggestion is that you need to hold your bitcoin in a non-custodial wallet and take care of it properly. and you need to be consistent with your investment plan. good luck to you.

Condolences for the death of Pope Francis. As a leader in Roman Catholicism, he was a well-known and humble figure, not only for Catholics, but also for people of other religions. He was a reflection of a leader of the people who should be emulated. He cared and took part in world peace, especially in the Middle East. Even before his passing, he still had time to criticize Trump and JD, who he considered did not exemplify Christian values.

may his moral and spiritual legacy not only be remembered, but also be an inspiration to us all.

Barcelona played really well against Dortmund and it is hard to see how Dortmund can catch up after being behind by so many goals. Barcelona has strong team with important players which gives them advantage in competition. Dortmund has been focusing on Champions League but they have been playing inconsistently in their league. Looking ahead Inter Milan might be team that can give Barcelona tough time in quarterfinals. They have been playing well and have good chance of beating Bayern Munich. Second game will be very important in deciding which teams move on in competition.

That 4-0 win against Dortmund was honestly such a solid and beautiful game from Barcelona. They showed really sharp, clean ball control, smooth passes, smart decisions, and total control of the tempo. Lewandowski was on fire too, bagging two goals and playing like a real team player. He could’ve easily gone for a hat-trick, but instead, he stayed calm, unselfish, and focused on making the right plays. If only the younger guys like Yamal, Fermin, and the rest could pick up on that with less emotional, more composed, and knowing when to pass instead of forcing it, it would seriously take Barcelona level up a notch.

I agree, Nottingham Forest is having a fabulous season, even third. Next season they will go to Champions League, have they ever been in Champions League?
Let's hope they can achieve at least one of their goals, i assume going to play in a prestigious cup

They have even won two European Cups (now the UEFA Champions League) and that makes them one of six English clubs to have claimed the competition. But that was achieved when they were at their peak, around the 1970s, that was quite a long time ago.

According to Opta, they have a 93.3% chance of finishing in the top five, meaning they are positive enough to enter the league. So if they can enter the Champions League next season, that would be a very good thing for the team, because they have been waiting a long time to be able to play in the league again. But it all depends on their performance for the rest of the season. and hopefully they can maintain that positive performance.

Re: Pajak Crypto di Indonesia: Beban atau Bentuk Legitimasi?
by
macson
on 04/04/2025, 13:25:27 UTC

Trait 1: Execute Like a Machine (Not "I Feel Lucky Today")
Harsh Truth:
Backtests show traders who strictly follow plans have a 17x higher 3-year survival rate vs. impulsive traders.

Backtesting is necessary to test trading strategies based on historical data to assess whether we are good enough at analyzing or whether further adjustments are needed. traders who are lazy to do backtesting will usually have difficulty using certain strategies in their trading because they lack data to optimize their trading.

However, backtesting cannot guarantee that a trader will be successful in their trading. because it could be that the strategy can work very well on historical data but fail in the real market. but that is much better than traders who only trade based on their luck.

It was a good decision for Gamestop to invest some of their cash holdings in bitcoin. They may not be the first company to do something like this, but when a company is open to investing their money in bitcoin, the market response tends to be positive, and that can be seen from their stock price which has increased by almost 15%.

Hopefully their plan to invest in bitcoin is not just temporary, but a long-term plan.

Re: Menabung Seluruh Uang Dingin untuk Bitcoin atau Hanya Sebagian?
by

People have their own strategies and calculations when trading. some are more comfortable playing in the safe zone and are not too hasty in making decisions after they experience a loss in their trade. they take a moment to take a breath and fix their emotions, then they can make a good decision.

Moreover, each trader has their own risk mitigation in their trade, so they may take that into account and not take an opportunity even when they see one. and it may be that not taking action is the best decision they can make.

Re: Why is Africa so poor?
by
macson
on 24/03/2025, 17:30:26 UTC
For years Africa has received assistance from many developed countries in the world, but until now there has been no significant change in their region. because at a time when many third world countries are starting to develop, the majority of countries in Africa are not showing significant development, even worse, they are going backwards.

There must be something wrong here, whether it is because of its limited natural resources, its people, or its leaders. this is certainly a fairly complex problem.

But that is not a reason for African countries not to realize their backwardness. their leaders are people who have direct control over their countries. they should be able to bring their countries to the prosperity and progress they have always dreamed of. it is indeed not easy, but if all parties work together it should be achievable.

Re: Bitcoin critics weren't wrong
by
macson
on 23/03/2025, 12:10:57 UTC
That's because of the regulation that makes people not use bitcoin in their transactions. people are like "forced" by government regulations to only use bitcoin as their investment, while for regular transactions, they must still use fiat on it.

Also, people don't use bitcoin in their regular transactions because of fees. payments using fiat are without fees and waiting time, so it's faster and more convenient to use for regular transactions. but that doesn't mean that no one uses bitcoin for transactions, it's just that it's not often, like for international transactions or P2P.

Liverpool are currently in a bad situation after their defeat in UCL, they also lost in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle so now only the Premier League is the only trophy that is possible for Liverpool to win this season so that makes their motivation much higher to maintain the opportunity especially now Liverpool are 12 points ahead of Arsenal so I think there is no significant pressure faced by Liverpool especially Arsenal's performance is very inconsistent now so of course there is nothing dangerous for Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season, I'm sure it will happen without any big surprises.

I think they have moved on from their defeat in UCL and Carabao Cup, and are more focused on maintaining their position in the premier league. because there is no point in dwelling on what has passed, it is better for them to focus on getting more points and winning the premier league, and I am sure they can do that.

Your friend found a point where he was satisfied with what he got. Maybe his trading experience so far, about how many times he missed the opportunity to take profit made him think that if he could close the trade when he felt satisfied, then he could get consistent profit. So he realized that if he could control his greed then it could give him a good profit.

And I feel that the average trader experiences the same thing when it comes to controlling their greed. they learn from their experience that they can actually get a decent profit if they can control their greed and not trade beyond what they can afford.

Africa is just resources and that's it, the people are untrained there.

But do they want to be a resource for developed countries forever? If they do not think about their fate now, then they will forever be a backward country, fooled by developed countries, and not develop like countries in the Asian region.

They need to act faster to build their country, by training their human resources, utilizing their natural resources, and reducing corruption. If they only think about power and corruption, then African countries will forever be backward countries, no matter how much assistance they get from other countries.

Things seem to be falling apart for Liverpool towards the end of the season, first getting kicked out of the champions league in a tie they were completely played out in both legs and just last night Liverpool lost to Newcastle United in the league cup final. Could it get any worse than this?

Liverpool lost their spirit after they were eliminated from the champion league, it was a blow for them, and made them unable to bring out their best performance. Salah who is usually quite sharp, could not do anything against Newcastle United who were so ready to face them. Even when Liverpool had better possession of the ball, it could not turn the situation around, and finally they had to accept defeat.

It must be admitted that this is only a matter of Newcastle United who are very ready to face Liverpool. they have a good strategy and are able to pass the ball until Liverpool players are overwhelmed. but this is only temporary, this is not the end of Liverpool. they can definitely turn the situation around again.

Re: Have We Been Deceived on The Purpose of Bitcoin?
by
macson
on 17/03/2025, 14:05:46 UTC
That's the business of the crypto world. Satoshi never developed ICOs and NFTs to meme coins, he was never involved or related to that. so when people suffer losses when they are involved in those things, then that is their full responsibility, and there is no need to link it to bitcoin because it has nothing to do with it at all.

And I think you are reading too much into speculation. no need to be too exaggerated I think. Satoshi only developed bitcoin as an alternative to a decentralized payment system, allowing people to transact without a central authority or central bank. it is not a ploy to create wealth for the few or whatever you say.

Re: Altcoins among the United States crypto national reserve?
by
macson
on 10/03/2025, 13:17:38 UTC
I think so too. Trump originally said it was a "crypto reserve" consisting of 5 cryptocurrencies, but on Friday he used an executive order to launch a "bitcoin reserve" consisting of bitcoins they already had that were seized from criminals. But it can't be called a national reserve because the government can't invest in it regularly. So I'm a bit confused by this myself, and see it more as a political game and manipulation by Trump.
