I want to go to Bhutan (Kingdom of Bhutan)

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bh%C3%BAt%C3%A1n/@27.5134091,88.1919281,7z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x375b92a573c595cf:0xbb0cac652836bcda!8m2!3d27.514162!4d90.433601

They have a beautiful nature and it is not easy to get there. They limit tourism quite a lot, one has to pay about $250 per day to stay there (includes acommodation and touring).

Re: Wolf of Wall Street (Jordan Belfort) - "ICO's are the biggest scam ever"!

I don’t remember ever having seen crazier times of more pandemic proportions.

“It is the biggest scam ever, such a huge gigantic scam that’s going to blow up in so many people’s faces. It’s far worse than anything I was ever doing,” explained Jordan Belfort concerning ICOs (initial coin offerings) of cryptocurrencies. The former penny-stock broker portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street should know: He spent 22 months in the hoosegow for securities fraud and money-laundering.

The biggest scammer called something a scam.
He is probably already in and making money out of it Smiley)

Most of the important things were already mentioned here.
I'll just add

  • Have everything prepared before the launch and have a detailed roadmap
  • Don't neglect PR, marketing, business, tech, legal. Have a great (experienced) team.
  • Have a perfect whitepaper but know that "nobody" will read it. Have a medium blog.
  • Don't be just online. Go to meetups, conferences, talk to investors and techies. Form a strong community.
  • Don't scam!

Re: Consejo sobre Hardware Wallet

Quiero comprar un Hardware wallet multidivisa (Btc, Eth, Ltc..) para tener las monedas a buen recaudo.
¿Cual me aconsejáis y porque? Valoro seguridad, obvio, y faclidad.

Trezor
https://shop.trezor.io/cart/
109$ envío a España incluido
aquí tengo la duda si admite multidivisa
Una cosa buena que tiene y no sé si tienen lo otros, es que hay una APP oficial para conectarlo a un móvil android

KeepKey
https://www.keepkey.com/
142$ envío a España incluido

Ledger Nano S
https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products/ledger-nano-s
81.75€ envío a España incluido

Gracias!

My friend used the Jaxx Bitcoin/Ethereum wallet, but because of certain technical issues the use of this wallet became problematic.
Besides, there was the news that the Apple policy is pretty much restrictive in terms of cryptocurrencies: https://news.bitcoin.com/apple-ban-ethereum-ios/
Jaxx is closed source and doesn't support contracts and custom tokens.
Also, its UX is pretty bad :/

Thanks for the link!

Hi, is there an advanced eth wallet available in Apple Store that,

  • is easy to use
  • offers conversion to fiat currency
  • offers linking with credit/debit card (as in you'll be able to pay with ethereum using the card)
  • supports ERC20 tokens
  • supports deploying smart contracts

or at least the first three above?

The Ethereum wallet by Freewallet is really basic Sad

Re: How to write a great Whitepaper?
by
marekbartik
on 17/10/2017, 12:09:54 UTC
The important thing to remember, a lot of the whitepaper in this time has made without trying to determine the structure of the whitepaper itself, and especially the content is not suitable in my opinion.
For the more explanation about the whitepaper and why don't you just try to visit the google and try to search them all, You must know this not the correct place to learn about the whitepaper.
But if you are not know how to made a good whitepaper and why will you want to run ico I meant another future shit token or money grabber.
This means you don't have any knowledge about that.
investopedia and wikipedia seem to provide very good material for you to learn how to build whitepaper.

Why so aggresive? Smiley
I'm just asking about people's opinion about what they want to have or miss in a whitepaper.
There is a lot of crypto whitepapers out there and a lot of stupid articles and blogs about how to write them.
Asking the community as one source (and not the only one) of information is a part of research.

This means you don't have any knowledge about that.

And people are born with that kind of knowledge or they read and ask to learn it?
I'm reading and asking to learn as much as I can about the topic. Thanks for being helpful.

In my mind the key elements that comprise a good white paper are

4. description of team and biographies

Is the team in the whitepaper really that important (to you)? I'd rather mention them on a webpage with a short description and link to linkedIn rather than in the whitepaper.

The NEM whitepaper is a technical reference, it is IMHO way too technical to be considered as a standalone whitepaper. Just a few technical people would want to read it Smiley
Neither the NEM nor ARK documents you mentioned have the Team section.

Thank you for your reply!

Re: Where to set up a company for a new crypto project?
by
marekbartik
on 09/10/2017, 12:40:13 UTC
but to target Asia market, it is always better to locate near to asia places.

Why? Do people from Asia care where the company is established? More than caring for the team itself? I mean, Asians do invest in ICO that is targeted worldwide, right?
We are targeting the whole world so it doesn't make any sense for us to have the company established in Asia if not for legislation/fees.

Also, I forgot to mention, that is really important for us to establish the company "fully online". I'm not gonna fly to another country just to establish a new company. This seems to be tricky even with Switzerland.

Switzerland is the "Crypto Valley" at the moment so in my opinion this is the place to be  Wink

it is AT THE MOMENT, but should we be afraid that they might change the legislation?

What about Czech Republic? Anyone has any experience?

Which country would you choose to set up a new company for a new cryptocurrency to launch an ICO soon?

I'd definitely pick something in EU, Is there a lot of differences between the countries in legal perspective or price for the company?

EDIT 1:Anybody has any experience with Czech Republic or Germany?

Re: How to detect a scam ICO?
by
marekbartik
on 04/10/2017, 08:59:26 UTC
Always check the following when investing a substantial amount of money
  • Team
Background, experience and SIZE of the team. Make sure there are experienced verified people (no fake linkedIn profiles with few connections or fake pics), you can google them easily and they are acting professionally. Team with less than 5-10 members sounds suspicious.  There should be content specialists, editors, PR specialists, SMM specialists, community managers, designers, software specialists, and targeted advertising specialists.
  • Whitepaper
Read the whitepaper carefully or related blogs/articles/FAQ to it from the creators. Or have somebody to read/check it for you. If the whitepaper contains a lot of superlatives, fairy-tales or non-cited sources, the ICO is certainly fake or the creators are just dumb. Whitepaper should be a legit scientific paper with cited sources.
  • Social media
Check their social media activity and people commenting/sharing/retweeting/TRUSTING the ICO and their trustworthiness and reputation. If there are any/a lot of fake profiles retweeting and liking posts, the ICO is probably a scam.
[/list]
