I'd be interested if the price enabled profit, but 8btc is too much, thb this ad is really better suited for someone trying to get into mining and keen to learn the hard way.

Good luck with your auction, maybe try ebay?

I really feel for the BA customers...

I was looking at getting an x3 back in December, I heard BA had delivered in the past using other ASIC chips, I felt confident they would actually deliver something but I wasn't confident on BA delivering on time, the delivery date seemed too good to be true, I held off getting in on the early batches until it got to about January, then after hearing the updates and the fact that chip hadn't been finalized and looking into the whole wafer manufacturing process(and comparing where they were at in the process compared to Cointerra and Hashfast at the time), I knew there would be no way they would make the Feb Deadline realistically, so I held off on the BA purchase and got a whole bunch of Ant's instead. i.e. something I knew I could actually get my hands on.

Glad I did in the end, having 6k tied up with a company for 6 months would have driven me insane.

Best wishes all those still believing that you get your ASICs sometime in the next few weeks, my guess is people will start receiving them late/end of may.

Hope you break even.

Does anybody know where or how I can get hold of a replacement controller board for my ANT.

It's stopped responding, Ethernet looks dead, reset doesn't work etc.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Tried contacting BITMAIN several times now and no response..

Thanks

Does anyone know how to get hold of another controller/openwrt board? I PMéd BITMAIN and got no reply, I think my board has gone, the green light on the ethernet stays on solid, no activity light, just sits there and does nothing, completely unresponsive, tried holding down the little S1 (reset?) button, no good.

Thanks ck.

I've been looking into a fully customizable re-loadable visa which would also provide cash out as an option, load it with BTC and spend when you want to, It is possible, we can do it, I've spoken to one of the main providers wholesale banking products that links into the major banks and it can be done, but the capital outlay is going to be close to 100k by the time we do all the integration work and get the right kind of systems in place.  There's some big upfront costs for Anti Money Laundering stuff among other things when you step into the big boys world.

It's something I'm personally really keen on doing, but at this stage the market hasn't been big enough to justify, once we start to average around 5-10 card sales a day of our existing eftpos card, I'll probably suck it up and get the capex and do it.

I have spoken to one other provider that will be able to provide a re-loadable visa card to us without the capex (but high card costs), but they can't provide any integration, not even CSV import/exports which means we'd have to reload the cards manually which is just stupid and would cause all kinds of problems.

If we're going to do it, I want to do it properly, so at this stage I'm holding out.

In the interim, I'm focusing hard on the basics and ensuring we can offer a good solid service with solid customer service.

I like to live off the basic principal that you look after those that look after you, Wizkid, is looking after us and doing the right thing by us, again, I'll say I'd be more than happy to have a compulsory 1% donation.

However, if he's happy with the current situation, then so be it.

Site is down, pool is active.

As for the other stuff that's being discussed, I'm happy to donate, but what really pisses me off is the guys making 20+ BTC a day and are not donating, if you've got that kind of equipment, you're essentially abusing this pool and donations should be compulsory.

Yeah I stand corrected, I just did a test transaction and was able to get the transaction through, there's clearly some issues going on but the system is somewhat functional at the moment.

I will add however I only did a .00001 BTC transaction, haven't tested anything bigger

Upon further investigation, I think it looks like they need to heavily do a re-design of their wallet system, it seems to rely on txtid which as most are aware has come under attack recently.  If the txtid is the primary identifier in their db for transactions, it could be causing all kinds of problems and require a software re-write.

I suspect this is what has happened, they really need to be more open about what's going on because if this is the case, it could take at least a week to write some functional code, maybe another couple of weeks-a month to get the code perfect.

Only one more thing to add, this line they always pull "This appears to be affecting less than 5% of CoinJar’s outgoing bitcoin payments." really pisses me off, 100% of your users can't use your service, it's clearly not 5% they say the same thing with deposits/withdrawals, they keep using this 5% line saying whenever you have a problem with their service you are in the minority, it's your problem, everyone else loves coinjar and has no problems, it's never a good sign when a business is openly dishonest to their customers.

Their site is timing out whenever you try to make a btc transaction.

As others have said, being the weekend is no excuse to not provide updates on service status, this is a service that people use (and they profit from) 24/7 not 9-5 Mon-Friday.

I can understand support tickets not being fully addressed over the weekend, but service availability and ensuring you have a functional system isn't exclusive to Monday-Friday.

Lets hope this is just incompetence and not fraud in the making.

if you paid by bank wire then cant you sort it out with the bank, get the bank to send them a letter?

Bank Transfers are final.

That's why scammers use it.

The bank won't help, you need to do as I suggested, I paid via bank transfer back in November and got my funds back

Ok, so I was able to factory restore by following directions on here, but now I am back to my original problem.

I am following the directions in the op, but when I manually input the ip address into IPv4, my computer cannot connect to the internet. I can interface with the antimner without changing my ip settings by navigating to 192.168.1.99, but it is not mining after I input and ave my pool settings.

What's your modems IP address?

Go to the ant miners network config page, make sure the gateway (your modems ip) is correct the primary DNS should also be your modems ip, go to the ant miners network diagnostics page and run both ping and DNS tests, if they work you're antminer is connected to the internet and good to go.

Love my ants but the noise is going to piss my gf off, can anyone recommend any slightly quieter fans? Will any 4 pin silent 12cm fan work?  Maybe if I put one on each end?

I would reverse your ants on their case so they point outwards, and use 2x120mm fans like in the OP. The onboard fan will always min rpm then.

Hi doggie,

I tried reversing one so the heat sink was facing outwards as a test and it didn't do much, do you have a pic? Are you saying make both heat sinks face outwards and attach 2 12cm fans on each blade? Blowing away from the heat sink?

Hi Everyone,

I sent 7k to Payonix a few months back and I was promised delivery this month. I was reviewing forums and came across this. My heart sank and now I feel sick.

Can anyone give any advice on what to do? Sadly I paid via bank transfer and not paypal.

Thanks,

Darren

Hi Darren,

Sorry to hear your story, bitcoin is a bit of a wild west.

They haven't gone anywhere, they're still physically located on the Gold Coast, nettfold is who you're after, if you're in Australia then you can handle it a few ways...

- file a claim in the small claims court at nettfolds address.
- Also report the matter to fair trading qld, this is not the first time this guy has fucked people over.

- or do what I did, these guys aren't hard crims, their white collar nerds, 7k is a decent bounty to collect, find a guy that'll collect for you, I threatened to have a few friends visit and kept on their butt about it and had my money back quick, they weren't happy with how I handled it, but scum like them deserve nothing less.  They're experts at dodging the law but I bet they can't dodge a fist.

Good luck.
