People need to realize that every nation has its own cultural traditions and religious systems. Hosting the World Cup shouldn't force people to abandon these traditions and values. Once again England wants to throw away their chances to win th world cup, why won't they be able to win USA that doesn't even like playing football as they're more of a America football nation and basketball. Group A is now looking very interesting to me as it seems all three nation in the top 3 position has a chance of progressing from the group stage after the 1-1 draw against the Netherlands and Ecuador. Now Senegal will have to play Ecuador in the last game and anyone who wins will progress from the group stage as the Netherlands is guaranteed a spot in the round of 16 as they'll be playing Qatar and they're guarantee a win. It'll be very shameful for Qatar as they'll be the first nation to host a world cup and loss all game.

Performance in opening batting they has absolutely no comparison. So pant has to prove himself in these matches in order to get select in squad , not in opening but in middle order.

Their ranking system is a big joke. Namibia is placed in no.14 on the rankings table, but they have never played against Bangladesh, who are at no.9. Then how can the associate nations move up the table? Even for sports such as baseball, the IOC has the requirement of a qualifying tournament. I don't think that they will waive that for cricket. The ICC administrators are still living in their la la land. They believe that the IOC needs them more than the other way around. And we are talking about a sport, that is no.1 only in a few countries in South Asia.

Selection is a contentious issue for all the South Asian teams. India recently sacked it's selection committee after the poor performance of the team during the T20 World Cup. And I am sure that the situation is same for Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. And regarding Fawad Alam, I am not sure why the selectors are ignoring him. He got one chance to be in the test squad (July 2022) and could only manage 25 runs from two innings back then. And after that his performance in the domestic matches was also not good. That maybe one of the reasons.
