So I am trying to wrap my head around this prime bidding crap.

According to the site https://prime.paycoin.com/  if you have a prime controller you will
make 20,000 xpy over the course of its existence through staking.

To bid you have to have the minimum 160k to load the controller with
and then anything over that is considered the bid and the bid will be burned.

So if you bid 20,000 xpy to get a controler, you would break even.

But xpy dev is bidding over 30k for controllers. https://ledger.paycoin.com/primebids so they are paying more than they
can ever earn back.. I don't get it.

Unless of course it's all just smoke and mirrors to make it look like there was a bidding
process, they set the stake rate to 25%  and added the burning of the bid, just to make it
unappealing for anyone with any common sense ( though if you had any you wouldn't bid on it
in the first place)   then have all the new primes to themselves  and be able to do whatever they want
but try and make it look like it was a fair process and all about the community.

So is it a partnership with bitcoinist ? I noticed the footer:

Code:
Bitcoinist Ltd.
1 Hova Villas Brighton & Hove
BN3 3DH United Kingdom
hello[a]btc.com

Well the dead give away is © 2015 All rights reserved by Bitcoinist Ltd.

So I would guess that since he can't afford to pay for the domain anymore  he is letting them use it if they agree to keep paying the monthly bill on it.

Then once it is paid off he will try saying the illegally stole it from him and he wants it back.

After studying the fascinating Garzaneese language for the last few months, I think I am able to
translate.

" Over the past couple of weeks I have promised to give over $700,000 to people to develop my ideas
under different company names.  So I now have to create crowdfunding campaigns for each of those
ideas so that I am actually able to pay for them to be built, so please go to cryptochange and give me some more
of your money so that I can pay what I already promised out"

Mineral is located in HK (currently XPY Limited HK, name change has been confirmed btw) for obvious reasons. Our dev and support team will be located in the UK for the stated reasons that you just posted.

Again, who can I call to make sure you're fully insured like you claim?

Dont quite follow you? Your coins are secured by Mineral International Limited. We will soon be releasing how our secured offline wallets are setup.

Quote
Mineral customer coins are insured and stored on offline servers that are never connected to the Internet.

Which company can I call to make sure your customers coins are insured?

It's a pretty simple question.

Yes seems a pretty simple question.  You can not insure yourself.  The whole purpose of insurance is that if something were to happen to your business that there is an outside entity that would payback what was owed to the customers.   You cant just say its insured, and that we have a secure system. Thats not how insurance works.

Also waht are the Insurance limitations?

If I deposit 1000 BTC are all 1000 insured or do you only insure up to x amount?

Can you provide potential customers with some more details in what is and is not covered?

Are my coins insured in the case of  system failure, theft, company bankruptcy?  Who do we file a claim with to collect on this insurance in case something happens?

Tell that to Albert Einstein, a notably dimwitted, close minded, and openly extremely devout religious person.

hmmm..

Albert Einstein's religious views have been studied extensively. He said he believed in the "pantheistic" God of Baruch Spinoza, but not in a personal god, a belief he criticized. He also called himself an agnostic, while disassociating himself from the label atheist, preferring, he said, "an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_views_of_Albert_Einstein

guess we differ on oppinion on the meaning of devout religious person

He said invites will be going out today. It's not like him to back himself into such a short deadline.

Something smells really funny about all of this.

Well is actually a great plan, will start sending out invites, people will get excitied start buying more paycoins,
they would just use the ones they allready have but they cant get them out of zencloud or paybaase, but they dont want to
miss out so will start buying more on the exchanges.

This will pump the price even higher.

Then when you log in the site wont be functional yet, the only thing that will function
is a new wallet you can deposit your newly purchased coins in to prepare
for when the product sales go live.

THey will start putting great product listings in there showing  how great a deal you will get, so people will keep
putting their coins in there dreaming of how awesome $50 Macs will be and how they can buy one for the whole family.

XPY will go up even further.

THen the site will get "hacked" and all deposited funds will get locked.

or FUDsters will ruin the merchant agreements for them

or the Government will not allow them to turn on sales.

or maybe they will come up with some other excuse that is so absurd that I can not even predict it.

I'm told that this is GAW selling Antminers:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=962477.0;all

If anyone can think of a reasonable way to confirm this please let me know. I think it's only fair if we give this user a bright red badge for selling hardware stolen from their customers.

Not too long ago there was a video where amber (or some other GAW female) walked through the offices and scared Jmordica.  THat same exact miner was sitting on that same carpet agains the same wall in that video.

I am not able to find the video now, but i rember seeing it in that video all by iteself and wondering why a company with a data center would have an S4 sitting alone ( on Carpet no less)  perhaps someone else has that video?

Edit:  here it is https://hashtalk.org/topic/28177/scaring-joe/43

https://i.imgur.com/jLKWafa.jpg  and guess its not same exact carpet, but video is down so can't see what carpet is in other rooms.

Wow, the HJG the CEO of GAW just accused *me* on Twitter of gaming the XPY market to make money at other peoples expense?  Un-fucking-real.  Like my 20K XPY controlled the market?  His super staking Prime nodes generate 30K XPY per day but I used my little bit of XPY purchased over several months to game the market?

OK - I admit it, I singlehandedly crashed the price from $20 down to a buck so I could lose my ass at the expense of others..  It didn't have anything to do with GAW or failure to deliver or space drones or anything like that.  Am I powerful or what?

Well in all fairness.. any money made with XPY no matter how much or how little is at the expense of others, since no matter who ends up buying it is going to be screwed in the end.

They should advertise on HT.  More gullible idiots there

I'm not a member of HT but I've read some threads and what hit me first was how many people are posting there.  You guys don't find that weird for a 2 month old "scam coin"?

You do realize the forum was around way before the coin?  And that it was actually about 10X's more active then, but they have censored and banned everyone down to the point where there is only a fraction of activity there once was, and most of the posts that are actually made are by either highly uneducated people or they are just paid to write nonsense in support of the coin

FRom what I gathered from the videos I was watching from @jimblasko ( and please correct me if I am wrong)

It is not that he doesn't care about the difficulty change so much as expecting to see the coins value going up during the
longer mining blocks due the fact that the coin is harder to obtain.

If that were to happen and the price were to increase with the difficulty then it would be just as profitable to mine regardless of
what the difficulty is.

I can see that in theory, but have not seen that prooved in practice, since the coin value dropped once the difficuly
raised which had the opposite effect, it became even less valuable to mine due to lower cost and higher diffculty.

Just under 100 blocks to go before difficulty change.

is there a way to calculate (or even estimate) what it will
change to?

Weird I want to buy this coin but so far no sell orders on C-cex  Huh

You can always put up your buy order, that way it shows and someone could come along and sell to it.

What are you looking to buy with?

Have never used C-cex but would be willing to set up an account.

2015 UnbreakableCoin UNB Wallets are now public!
http://www.unbreakablecoin.com/wallets/2015-unbreakablecoin-wallets/

Now Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux in Two Color Versions

Nice finally a Mac Wallet, just got it up an running and sync'ed. looks good  Smiley

Any thoughts of implementing Gravity Well going forward? This long block time before difficuly goes back down is going to be a killer, especially once it gets past this one, difficuly going down everyone pointing their miners back to it.. and another spike. That is assuming it survives long enough and continues getting support long enough to get past this current one.  If not will be a never ending cycle of quick blocks vs Long blocks and it will get killed on one of the long blocks.

Edit:  Just saw where it was mentioned that there are no plans for Gravity Well, and that we just need more hashing power.

The issue is though that its going to be harder to attract hashing power.

For example. I am traveling for next two months and my miners at home are powered down.

I however could rent some hashing power.

Just taking a look for about $35  I could rent 2 THS for 6 days which would yield me about 175 UNB

THats a 6 day process and is not a guarantee.. and even if it was its still at a loss, now if I am not concerned about imediately flipping the coins mined and decide to hold on to them I could come out at much more profit down the road .. again. there is no guarantee of this.

However if I just took the same $35 to an exchange, I could purchase @1500 Coins

So there is nothing there to justify purchaseing the hash power over just purchasing the coins, but then why would I want to purchase the coins if there is no hashing pointed to it?

Where the money will come from is easy.

If you look at the timeline, 30 days to sign up, another 30 to wait
untill first payments start rolling in.

Theres less than 60 days left on the original 90 day stakers, so they will
have a sale of new stakers to replace those, and since there still wont
be anything else you can do with your coins people will start buying them up.

This will be the initial buy back fund, the more stakers they sell the more they
will be able to buy back.

Sure everyone will be getting their staked coins back at this time, but that doesnt matter
its too late to enter them in the buyback.

as far as I know, gear hashbase is NOT owned by Josh/GAW, but it is owned by Prodigi. He's an honest person (he has obviously been mislead as well), but I know him personally and he's an honest guy.
