Ensure that you click on the links that were shared above and take your time to study them very carefully. Don’t rush. The more you understand the foundation of Bitcoin and how it works, the better decisions you will make in the long run.

And also, be cautious but feel free, don’t hesitate to ask questions if something is bothering you or if something isn’t clear, cos that is one is the reasons for this forum. Many of us here were once in your shoes. Just ensure that you  stay curious and keep learning Wink

If You Can’t Explain the Trade, You Shouldn’t Be in It
by
Joeboy

One of the first things most newbies in crypto trading think about is how to get access to signals, whether it is following a “guru” on Telegram, or paying for so-called "sure signals." The truth is that due to the market's volatility, there is no such thing as a sure signal.
Signals are simply just the conclusions of someone else's analysis, and just like any other analysis it is not 100% certain. And relying fully on someone else's signals without backing it up with your own research is synonymous with betting your funds on another person's thought process, without even knowing how they arrived there

My final words: Being a trader simply means "being a student of the market."  You must learn to research, analyze, and then to build your own strategies and adjust them when necessary. This doesn’t mean you can’t learn from others, or that one shouldn't make use of signal. Newbies should note this - signals should only be used as a tool to complement your thinking, not replace it
Meaning that before hopping onto a particular signal/ signals, you should already have a personal strategy or signalon ground which will then be used to compare with the signalyou got to know if you are right on track.

I noticed that drafts are only saved when you preview or post a reply/topic. This makes it possible to still lose your writeup while typing and then your browser crashes or the page refreshes before you click the preview button. I believe that it would be great if the forum supported an autosave draft feature while typing, like every 30 seconds or so especially for those with lengthy writeups and then an unstable internet connection.

If you been miss the opportunity to follow chop profit now way people way hold bitcoin the chop, now na time to take di bull by the horns and so you fit follow chop for di next 5 years from now way experts done the predict bitcoin price to close up between $500, 000 to $1 million.
Well said OP, it was really informative. Let me just add a few things to wetin you don talk give us. Apart from the said benefits of Bitcoin, there are other reasons why it is quite important to consider Bitcoin accumulation, here are a few of them:
1) Bitcoin is borderless meaning that the same way it operates in Nigeria is the same way it operates in other parts of the world. So there is no need to worry about bank delays, delayed international transfer issues, bank queues, exchange rates etc, You can basically send and receive Bitcoin anywhere you want in a couple of  minutes.

2) Bitcoin provide's one with an hedge against inflation, devaluation, currency fluctuation, it operates outside of most of the known government policies. I mean it basically security your assets.

3) With Bitcoin you are in charge of your funds, Unlike banks that can freeze accounts, or deduct charges without notice, With Bitcoin you are in full control . You own your private keys, you own your money. I mean there is no such thing as a middleman.

With the current rate of inflation, it is important more than ever to store your assets in something that not only holds value but has the potential for growth and that’s exactly what Bitcoin offers.

Bitcoin Na Still the Chairman for the Crypto Street

For this crypto space, Bitcoin na the only coin wey still stand gidigba. No be coin wey no dey follow hype or crowd, and today we go yan why Bitcoin na still the Oga on top for crypto, and why others still dey learn work.
1) Na Bitcoin wey Start the Movement: Before all this fancy coins wey we dey hear today, na Bitcoin first cryptocurrency to show face(for 2009). E bring the idea say people fit send money to each other without the need for bank or third party.

2) E Get Trust wey Others Never Build: Na Bitcoin wey institutions dey adopt now o, na Bitcoin wey countries dey legalize (like El Salvador in 2021 under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele), and na Bitcoin get the most secure and decentralized network. All this achievements no be by hype but by its strength, trust and track record.

3) For Naija People, Bitcoin Fit Be Better Escape Plan. Make we reason  this thing, Naira dey fall everyday like mango leaves, and people dey look for better investment wey Dem go keep their money. Bitcoin na better investment coz it protect the value of your investment, even if na small small you dey buy.

4) Bitcoin vs Altcoins The reality be say no be say altcoins no get value o, some actually get potential. But a whole lot of them na pump and dump or scam projects wey go disappear once bull run end. That is why it is unwise to o carry all your energy enter any altcoin wey you never understand. Start with Bitcoin and build from there.
Though  Bitcoin fit take time to build strong value wey go last long. But as my professor back then for school dey always talk, no be about speed, na about value.

Make I conclude with this-  For our newbies in the crypto space, if you dey em very serious and intentional about.wealth protection and financial freedom,  just know say Bitcoin na one of the surest road to achieve am.
But still no forget(Beginners take note):
👉 Always do your own research (DYOR). You can do this by belonging to a strong community wey Dem dey discuss real updates (like Bitcointalk), and also by reading articles and post from sites/ forum like cointelegraph, decrypt.co, altcointalk, and even this our our very bitcointalk.org
👉 No invest wetin you no fit lose or wetin no go make you sleep for night (This one dey very important)
👉 And you no necessarily need $10,000 before you go start Bitcoin acummulation, one very sweet thing about Bitcoin be say you fit start small, dey build your wealth.

How to Secure Your Finances in a Devaluing Economy
by
Joeboy
on 18/07/2025, 17:58:18 UTC
In today’s world, saving money in fiat currencies is equivalent to trying to fill a basket with water. Inflation silently shave away our purchasing power. The price of things like rent, food, and even transportation keeps going up, but your saved money keeps losing value overtime. It is not just frustrating but also financially dangerous.
So how do we protect ourselves and our finances?

1)Understanding what is happening around you(the problem). This is because before any problem(inflation and currency devaluation) is solved one has to first understand the nature of the problem and what brought about it.

2)Invest in knowledge before anything else. Cos the more you learn the more likely you will make better investment decisions and the less likely you will fall for scams.

3)Consider investing in Bitcoin no matter how small it is.This is because Bitcoin investments provide a very strong hedge against inflation and failing economies, cos it gives an investor the chance to store value in something that cannot easily be inflated away.

4) Assets diversification, but be cautious. Some skills or assets are seasonal meaning that it may be profitable today but may not reward you tomorrow no matter the effort. That is why one should try and spread his investment. Only invest in skills or assets that you understand not those that promises quick return or overnight profits
.
5) Build Financial Discipline. Reduce unnecessary expenses and develop the habit of saving and investing regularly. Cos the littlest things you do today add up over time.

In conclusion, the system may be unstable, but we don’t have to be. Let's focus on those things that are within our control, thing like our habits, knowledge as well as your financial decisions.

Re: Have You Ever Considered a Will?
by
Joeboy
on 16/07/2025, 18:21:30 UTC
This topic is meant to serve as a self-reflection for everyone engaged in the daily hustle and bustle, trying to secure their daily bread for themselves and their family.

I know this is one topic no one really wants to talk about, we all try to stay positive. But whatever you do, please ensure there’s a backdoor for your family, especially if you’re married with kids, to access your wealth especially your digital asset. Let there at least be a way they can access your seed phrase.

Let’s take the recent loss of Diogo Jota as a case study. He was a successful footballer playing for a big club. He had just won some trophies and got married barely a week before his untimely death.
By Nigerian standards and with what he has achived at that age, Jota was a very promising person at 28. In fact, most 28 year olds here are still trying to figure life out. So I’m sure, with all his achievements, he wasn’t thinking of anything negative.
His death went viral because he was well known  but what about the many others we don’t hear about?

Now Think about it.
Would it make sense to hustle so hard, accumulate wealth, invest, and trade, only for your loved ones to start from scratch when you're gone?

Have you ever really thought about this?

If no then why haven't you?
If yes, then what moves have you taken or How best can you make your digital assets easily transferable in case of the unexpected?

We shall not die but live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. Amen.
Psalm 118:17

Thank you very much OP for bringing up such a sensitive topic. The truth is that death is inevitable, and If we are honest with ourselves nobody wants to die infact at a least 80% of human being around the world live every day without the consciousness that they may die anytime soon. They wake up in the morning and begin mapping out plans  on how their entire day would look like, without even considering the fact that they may likely not see the end the day.

Personally due to security reason I do not reveal my seedphrase to anyone not even my family member, but having gone through the OP writeup reality dawned on me that it isn't all about accumulating assets, it is about having a plan. A trusted person, a secured document, a legal note, or some sort of cold storage setup with instructions something that can help our loved ones access our digital assets in case one is no more
Let us not let fear and doubt keep us from preparing for reality.

Before You Think of Giving Up on Crypto, Read This
by
Joeboy
on 13/07/2025, 11:32:21 UTC
Cryptocurrency may feel kind of unfair at times. Especially when you’re just starting out, and you are putting in the best you can but at the end of the day nothing seems to be working. It hurts a lot, and sometimes it makes you even wonder if crypto is really worth it.

For those in this situation here’s the truth: every experienced person in the crypto has been there, every single one of them, the traders, the investors, even some of the people on this forum that we all look up to today. But instead of quitting they chose to be patient, consistent and continued humbling themselves to learn

So if you are a beginnner in the space, here are a few things I wish someone told me early on:

1) Losses are part of the game. Losing your money doesn’t mean you are a failure, It means you’ve learned something, if you take time to understand why the lose happened in the first place.

2) Don't be in a hurry. The reason why most newbies tend to loose alot is because they jump into every green candle they see without taking time to understand why it was so.

3) Risk managementt: The market is highly volatile so never carry your "house rent" or "school fees"  to invest into crypto. Always invest what you can afford to loose.

4) Practice DCA Strategy:  For example you have a $100 as capital, never invest all of it into a project at once no matter how promising it is. Always try and spread your capital using installment acrross different point in time.

So if you are thinking of quitting. Take a break and remind yourself that you are still learning and growing and that winner's never quit. One love ❤️

Re: The One Question That Every Trader Should Ask Themselves
by
Joeboy
on 13/07/2025, 08:18:56 UTC
But i as a trader think that mostly beginner traders think of trading as a GET RICH QUICK scheme. They think investing $100 can make their fortune. It is not their fault too as todays trading "GURUS" make it look that way by only showing huge profits.
Most of these so called “gurus” sef are nott even real traders, they are just some online marketers and scammers who knows that people are desperate to make quick money, so they  begin posting screenshots and and once you register with them, you may end up not learning anything.

That is why it is Important for beginners to be very cautious and always ignore or walk away if anyone is promising you 100% profits in crypto without any single loss if they train you. This is what this scammers and fake signal sellers fail to tell the newbies-

- That losses is a huge part of Trading, meaning that is cannot be completely avoided. However what differentiates the loss incurred by a professional from that of a newbie is simply the level of  Risk Management involved. A professional in his own way has the ability mitigate this risk, thereby leading to smaller and fewer loss.

Re: With bitcoin, you have full control.

on 13/07/2025, 07:10:29 UTC
In Nigeria, the old people do not see bitcoin as a scam zone, but they do not see it as money. Many of them do not know what bitcoin is also. They believed in physical assets and their businesses. They believed mostly in their businesses and have their money in banks.
Well said OP, you see the old people not just in Nigeria but other part of the world, do not really see Bitcoin as a scam,  is just that many of them just don’t understand how something they can’t hold can have real value than the assets they can see, feel and hold. And also because many of them built their wealth through business, hustle, land and property purchase etc. So Bitcoin may feels like a gamble when compared to their tried-and-tested methods.

I believe however that with the right Education and Awareness they go begin dey see Bitcoin in another light and know say na one of the most reliable way to stay ahead of inflation.

The One Question That Every Trader Should Ask Themselves
by
Joeboy
on 12/07/2025, 14:56:19 UTC
⭐ Merited by The Cryptovator (2) ,Charles-Tim (1)
Before going into any trade or investing in any project, there's one question that I believe that every traders, most especially the beginners should ask themselves, which is-
"If this trades doesn't go as planned, will I still be able to sleep at night?"

Why This Question is Important -
Asking yourself the question enable one to access:
1) If one is emotionally and financially prepared to lose thst particular amount

2) If the trade is driven by FOMO, hype, or clear and critical analysis

3) If the decision will affect other areas of one's life

Let's Look at a Real Case Scenario
We have of course seen what happened with project like LUNA, MANTRA etc. Those traders that failed to ask themselves the hard question before investing lost not just their money but also their trust in the crypto market entirely and not just that it also rendered most of the investors bankrupt and then back to square one.

Final Words
The crypto market is highly unstable, that it why it is important that traders only invest what he can afford to lose.

So the next time as you are about to click that “buy” button, stop and ask yourself:

"If this trades doesn't go as planned, will I still be able to sleep at night?"

If the answer is yes, then you can go ahead. But if the answer is no, then it best not to make that trade or investment.

Re: How do people gain profit when crypto is dropping?
by
Joeboy
on 12/07/2025, 12:31:39 UTC
Please is long I'm trying to learn about crypto generally but I don't seem to understand most things as if am left out. I leant that even though crypto market is going against you can still make gain out of the situation because to me am only experiencing lost and depression. Please what do I do whenever the market is experiencing deepening? Is there a way to reverse your trade or investment at that point that will make you gain instead of lost?
Note this OP- Due to the market's volatility, losses are part of the crypto journey. So you should not feel bad or get weighed down by this loses but rather learn from your loses, then practice risk management and move on.

‎Now back to the question you asked. Am no psychologist, but based on how you sounded in your post here is what I advise you as a friend to do for now....

1. Take a break for now be it one month, two month or so, just any one that will work for you. The reason for this is that the market isn't going anywhere, and remember your mental health is more valuable than any coin  whatsoevoever.

2. After taking the break, try to refuel your understanding of cryptocurrency you can start from the beginning if possible,  you can get a demo account, and practice trading, you can even learn from YouTube if possible or buy courses, just ensure that your knowledge is properly reignited before entering back into the space. In addition to this have a trading mentor one who you can freely speak to or ask any questions when the time comes, cos it not every time you have a question that you come to the forum to ask.
N.B:After implementing the first and second step just know that you are be ready to continue you crypto journey.

3. Before entering into any project, try and learn about the basics of the project. Eery project has a whitepers and in most cases a community so make use of them to better understand a token and the problem it aims to solve. Don't be in a rush, take your time to learn.

3) Focus on Bitcoin accumulation course it's very promising rather than day trading or short term trading. One thing about short term trading is that it requires experience and emotional control which many beginners may not have.

‎4. Make use of  Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) Strategy. This means that you should focus on investing a fixed amount regularly instead of going all in at once. It helps reduce the impact of volatility as well as the anxiety during market downturn.

‎With this you are good to go, just know that we are here to help out in case you have any other issues along the way. Better days ahead.

Re: Observation on life needs
by
Joeboy
on 12/07/2025, 04:35:08 UTC
The life is meant to experience great thing exceedingly while maintaining what you've acquired so far and never loose it, you'll certainly value something you loss than just having it the first time.
A nice observation. But I think this feeling of valuing something more after losing it often depends on the person’s situation( how easily that item or assets can  be replaced) . For someone who doesn’t have the means or opportunity to easily replace what was lost, the pain of that loss is more deeper and that is when he begins to value what he lost.

However in the case where the person is rich and capable enough to get back and replace that lost item or asset without much effort, then he is more likely to have a lowered sense of value. For example, someone losses his phone but as a result of his wealth, he is capable enough to buy a dozen more of that phone or even more. In this case now he ay not feel the regret as someone who spent all his life savings just to get a single of that phone.

But I reason say e still go help if we run am again, make old members refresh their mind and make newbies no fall victims. Here are some popular crypto scams wey even trend pass Michael Jackson and how you fit dodge dem.
1) Fake Airdrop and Gveaway
You fit see tweet or Telegram or even Facebook messages wey  go talk say Send 0.1 BTC, get 10 BTC back. Na better lie be dat o,  cos Dem go just collect wetin you manage get then block you.

Example wey happen: Around 2020 or so dem been hack Elon Musk, Changpeng Zhao, and other Twitter big names in order to promote Bitcoin scam. Read more here:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/technology-46097853.amp

📌 How to stay safe: No legit person go ask you for money before giveaway. I mean if they are asking you for money why then is it called a giveaway. Jst ignore anything wey sound too good.

2) Fake Admin Support
Maybe you dey confused and syou need clarify something, you con go ask question for one Telegram group, fake admin go just DM you ASAP saying, “Send your wallet phrase make we help.” Once you send am, R.I.P to your coins.

📌 Here is a Tip: No legit project go  fit ask you 4 your seed phrase. Never share am with anybody, not even your family member.

3) Fake Wallet or Exchange Application
You fit dey part of one fake bounty program wey go ask una make una download wallet app for Play Store wey no be the real one. Once you import your wallet or make any kind of transaction, Otilor.

"Hmmm this Cryptocurrency too hard oo", dat one na  the kind talk wey you go mostly they hear from people wey never too sabi cryptocurrency, people wey think say eh too hard, wey think say dey go just start to dey do am begin they get money sharp sharp. My brother, even trading wey dem say get short-term goals still need person to dey consistent. Consistency na one thing wey you need if you wan survive for succeed for crypto, no matter the area you wan focus on, eh good make you sabi am well well then follow the due process too. For example.
Person wey be Bitcoin investor suppose dey discipline, then dey patient enough to watch wetin dem dey invest on grow for the future.
Person wey be trader suppose dey consistent for the market to keep up with the trends and news, eh suppose dey very strategic, know when to enter inside the market, come know when commot too.
Person wey dey mine crypto suppose know the right tool whether na hardware or na software oo eh suppose know the better one to use come get better strategy too.
Person wey dey farm airdrops suppose try sabi projects wey go get hope to do well, eh suppose get engaging community, dey punctual to de farm the project, then get better informations about potential projects too.
All these things na different areas of cryptocurrency wey i sabi and i done try explain am for lay man understanding of how people fit succeed inside any. Cryptocurrency no too hard like people think if you understand the different areas you wan put body inside then do am well, hope dey say you go dey successful.

Great post OP. Honestly I love when you been  talk say consistency is the key to success in the crypto world which of course dey very true.

Now when e come to trading matter, consistency no just mean say make you dey show face every day  dey press buy or sell, rather consistency here entails - tracking your trades, learning from the market fom others as well as your mistakes, keeping your emotions in check and then sticking to a particular strategy (no dey jump from one coin to another because of fear or FOMO).

‎Even outside of crypto and trading, consistency still be one of the biggest key to success. Like person wey dey learn new skill,  maybe programming, engineering, or even gym work, that person no go fit see result overnight. But if person dey try small small every day, dey implement the right strategy, and following the right process, the result go pile up with time. Na so growth dey happen.

‎So my people, if you dey intentional for growth and success in what ever you dey do or you want do, just hold consistency like say na your last card cos e no go fit fail you. Keep pushing, your breakthrough fit  just dey one step away.

One very thing I love about this forum is that you will get to learn from people with actual experience, not just some far fetched content that we see today on social media. I have come across posts that actually changed my thinking, exposed me to newer ideas, and even helped me avoid mistakes.

It’s one thing to Google stuff, but it’s another to be part of a community where people share insights and experiences from years of navigating this space. That’s basically why I joined, cos I want to learn from others, grow, and contribute in the best way I can
