True. The instant payment system as well as the web wallets is being hosted by AWS but under the control of Electroneum.

Well, there has been a time when most of the hashrate came from a chinese mining pool. That's true.
But this information changes rather fast.
Currently most hashrate comes from the Netherlands.

All the ETNs that are being distributed through the cloud miners were premined. Which is and never was a secret at all.
No need to pay money to anyone to have them mine any coins for that cloud miner ETN pool.
In regards to the hashing algo, Electroneum is based on the original monero code which is based on Cryptonight.
I'm pretty sure you meant that, right? Because everybody knows, there's currently no Asic available for Cryptonight7.

Nope, Electroneum is a coin based on its own blockchain.
And as you mentioned yourself above, it's even a completely differnt Hashing algorithm.
Ethereum is Ethash which is based on SHA-3
Electroneum is based on Cryptonight.

But Electroneum is not a suspicious startup. They are a real company.
Or are you refering to Yoti again? Use Google. They are a real company as well and aren't suspicious at all.

Hi Fairhash admins, I got a question.
Did you disable the low end hardware port 3333 on purpose?
My miner fails to connect all the time, however with my mid range hardware I do get a proper connection on port 5555.
My low end pc is currently mining on a different pool now but since I was quite happy with Fairhash so far, I'd like to point it against your pool again.

Hi there,
I have the famous "no devices running" issue on a Baikal Giant N.
Pools are fully configured and are loaded.
Yesterday, I had a power outage and since then the fan does not speed up full speed anymore.
It just spins very quietly, stops spinning for less than a second and spins very quietly again.
All hints for the issue which I was able to find on the internet and in this forum did not help resolving the issue.
Does anyone know how to further troubleshoot or even better, fix this issue?
Image has been re-flashed. I even changed the Orange PI already but all without success.

Looking at the definition of 'biweekly' you can see, it means every two weeks (14 days).
Today is January 28th, that's only 8 days since their last update on facebook (January 20th).
So as long as the next update happens between now and February 3rd they're all good, right?

If they hack you while you do online banking, you're busted.

It was working fine for me using Firefox actually.

Of course it took some time yesterday to log in but seriously. This is IT. The more users are accessing their system, the more I/O has to be managed.
Look at the huge community of Electroneum. For every one working in IT, it was kind of crystal clear that this will happen. I managed to send my ICO coins to my secure offline wallet after 4 hours yesterday.
And I managed to buy a lot more for a really good price thanks to all the dumpers.

I found an answer in a tweet that stated Hackerone finished their analysis and is currently compiling the report. Anyone able to confirm that? Don‘t know where such an information might come from. Maybe from telegram chat?
To be honest, I‘d prefer an official statement. But can that rumour be confirmed by anyone anyways?

That was kinda correct during the ICO. However, since ETN blockchain is already live the way tu buy ETN looks like this:

1. I fund my Quadriga account

2. I buy Bitcoin or Litecoin using my Quadriga account

3. I open an account with crytopia.co.nz

4. Then I send the amount of bitcoin etc I want to use to buy Electroneum to my Cryptopia wallet (Deposit)

5. Then I purchase electroneum with my Cryptopia account

Thats basically it. For safety reasons, I‘d recommend to create an Electroneum offline or paper wallet and withdraw the ETN from cryptopia to that paper wallet address.

I recommend following the official channels.
Twitter and Facebook of Electroneum hold that information.
You can't reset your password at this point in time as the web wallets and logins are down due to security concerns.
Once hackerone came back with a report of their penetration test, the devs will take the page back online and you will be able to reset your password.
