Hello guys,
Friends, the largest crypto gathering in the UAE, called Token 2049, will be held in about 12 days. I feel like maybe we can shout from this big gathering and have our voices heard,
I personally opened a legal case against the funders of this wallet in the UAE and I hope that these friends will reach the UAE and be arrested through the UAE food systems. Friends who want this complaint to increase in number should definitely do so.
Friends who want to join me in this legal complaint, please contact me so that we can move the case forward as quickly as possible and increase the number of complaints so that the UAE government can process it more quickly.
Regards

how to can i contact with you ?

Brother anyway you can help me , i am depressed , i am sure you reading the news about my country now  , and i need my money from this wallet its important but they keep ignore or skip me , my mental health is very bad

Sorry to hear that, but as you know I dont provide any kind of services, I am just a usual person as you are.
Seems like today there are way less FRWT clients then earlier. It's very good, because people won't lose coins. But it also means that there will be not many complaints about this fraud.

The scammers at Freewallet are making impossible requests, even after I provided everything they asked for. They said:

"Please send us unedited, non-cropped, full-screen (desktop, not mobile) screenshots from the sending platforms as proof of the source of funds, and provide documents that confirm the services rendered."

Despite telling them hundreds of times that I cannot provide what they are asking for—and that I have already sent everything I do have—they keep insisting. I explained to them:

"All I ask from my clients is a screenshot for translation purposes, after which I provide the services they requested, such as creating websites, databases, or other projects."

I also told them:

"I did not create contracts or documents because I was not experienced in such matters. There is only one client who agreed to make a contract with me after you requested it. Most clients refuse because they paid with crypto and don’t really know me personally."

Last Updates :

the company keep ask me of "We still require documentation confirming that you legally provided services and received payment for them"
even though i told them i don't have that "i was guy with dream and good development skills , and i open telegram channel and posted on social media and people ask me for private services , so the documents you asking for i don't have it, all i ask the clients is screen shot for the transaction , and what i have i told you and showed you , so the KYC is over "

and they just ignore me even when i send more emails

Another user scammed by Freewallet

Here is a story we got from another victim of Freewallet KYC scam

Just read the quote:
I first opened my Freewallet account in July 2017 and made my first deposits into the wallet on July 22nd 2017. Over the years I have made several transactions of deposits and withdrawals with no issues until last year November 11th 2024 when I tried to withdrawal my balance of Monero (XMR) and realised that I was unable to do that because my account was suspended plus I saw that there were many “inactivity fees” that were charged to my account.

I contacted Freewallet asking them why my account was suspended and they told me that I needed to verify my account through their KYC process. I followed their process and submitted all of the documentation requested and then they asked me to submit it again which I did.

I didn’t receive any correspondence or notification via email or the app that they were going to be implementing this change for inactivity and when I highlighted this to them they said that they can change their terms and conditions as they like simply because it is their platform.

Before the “inactivity fees” which started on January 24th 2024, I had a balance of 52.705008864013 XMR, as of writing this email I have 49.634103975904 XMR. As you can see they have stolen hundreds of dollars of funds already.

https://i.ibb.co/7x9HmL0Q/Screenshot-2025-02-09-144010.png

We published this users story on Medium and Reddit. But everything Freewallet did - they just sent numerous abuses on my account so it was blocked. Instead of helping their clients all they do - just try to hide the evidence of their FRAUD!

- i am really confused , how this company scam and steal people from long time and no one stop it , if you can help me and share my story all over the internet i am okay with that , try check the update i add on main post here

What really hurts is that I am living on false hope. I worked so hard to collect this money, and now it's gone. I can't even eat or think straight.

But what I do know is that this is my right, my money—my hard work and suffering. And I will fight for it until my last breath.

I understand this.
Their representatives don't even answer here, on this forum, despite they have a freewallet account.
But ignoring complaints is just the way they act.
Still your posts help a lot to prevent other users from losing their coins. So your actions at least helped others!

i am depressed bro , after they told me we will check the files , they told me to "Please respond to original ticket." which they does not reply to at all

Good evening and sorry to read these heartbreaking stories. I have one question: why deposit funds on a custodial wallet? Without even talking about fraud (which is the case here), if you lose your medium (smartphone or pc), how can you go about recovering your wallet when you don't have the private keys?

- when i started i was new to cryptocurrencies i did not have any idea about private key , yes my mistake that i used this wallet. and now all gone

Brother just check there telegram group , just people complain about this trash company , tell now , over 1 year and my problem not solved , they request me to provide "Please provide the info backing the source of the rest of the funds." and that's require me to create contract's with my clients , and my clients does not have to provide me with there private information , so the KYC is complete but they won't unlock it

I imagine your feelings. I guess the best idea is to repeat sending your complaints.
The official authorities should react sometime.

I am trying, and soon I will contact lawyers and sue this company. I am waiting for my case.

For a year, they have insisted on "Please provide the info backing the source of the rest of the funds," even though I already did. They refuse to accept my answer and keep asking for contracts with my clients: https://imgur.com/a/6EtHjwo.

They ignore me for 5-6 days at a time, and after several emails, their last reply was "We will check those files and get back to you with an update." Then, they went back to ignoring me: https://imgur.com/GHV7I0B.

What really hurts is that I am living on false hope. I worked so hard to collect this money, and now it's gone. I can't even eat or think straight.

But what I do know is that this is my right, my money—my hard work and suffering. And I will fight for it until my last breath.

I know. I am glad there are many clients who add their stories on this forum. Dont worry.
All your complaints and reports will help to stop scammers.

any one can help me :https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5439160.0

Hello
I am writing to report a serious issue involving the website "app.freewallet.org," which is operating as a fraudulent entity. This company has been scamming users and stealing their money, including my own, for over a year. I believe the situation has become urgent, and I am seeking your assistance in addressing it.

The issue began when my cryptocurrency wallet was locked by the platform, and they requested that I complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) process. I provided all the requested documents and even participated in a Skype call, yet the company continues to demand additional paperwork and information. This request is becoming increasingly unreasonable, especially considering that I am not able to provide certain personal information on behalf of my clients, as they do not have to disclose this to me.

Despite providing everything they asked for, including proof of the sources of my funds (even though I am not legally required to), the company has continuously rejected my submissions. They have not explained the exact reasons for the rejections, which only deepens my concern.

This situation has severely impacted my health and well-being. I have worked tirelessly for nearly three years to collect the amount of cryptocurrency involved — specifically, 1.59393953 BTC — and I am devastated to see it locked away by this fraudulent platform. The stress of this situation has worsened my health and life in general.

Upon researching the company online, I found that I am not the only victim of this scam. A simple Google search of “freewallet scam” reveals that hundreds of other users have faced the same issue, with many reporting similar experiences of their funds being held hostage by endless KYC requests. You can easily verify these reports through online sources.

Furthermore, I have informed the company of my difficult circumstances, as I am based in Syria, where the ongoing war has made my situation even worse. Despite this, they have shown no understanding or empathy.

I have screenshots and additional evidence of my interactions with the company, which I can provide upon request. I urge you to take immediate action to investigate this matter and assist me in recovering my funds.

This issue is critical to me, as it involves both my financial livelihood and my health. I would greatly appreciate your prompt attention and support in resolving this matter.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely

thanks for advice , but i need online wallet where i can use it on my phone and also have multi coin not one type , can you give me good advice ?
--snip--

Well... That's quite a hard one... I have no experience with holding loads of altcoins on a phone. Generally speaking, i'd say it's a bad idea... I personally don't believe those wallets are as thoroughly vetted as open source desktop wallets (even tough that's just a gut feeling), combined with the extra attack vectors (easy theft, a lot of times just a 4 digit pincode as protection,...). And even then, it's a bad idea to hold a reasonable amount of funds on a desktop wallet anyways.

Since bitcoin is about personal responsibility and choice: I have heared reasonably good things about mycelium, but you should do your own research before using them. Personally, i would never use them for anything more than pocket change, but it's up to you to make up your mind.

If you want more security (and this should be your goal), you could look into hardware wallets like ledger... They have at least one model that can be used from your phone (and, eventough not everybody likes ledger, i think it's safe to assume they're a hell of a lot safer than any "real" smartphone wallet). They support a cured selection of altoins aswell.

Personally, if i were you, i'd probably use a wallet like mycelium (or even an exchange wallet) to receive coins, swap them for BTC the very same moment i receive them, and then keep them on a properly generated paper wallet or a hardware wallet. Bitcoin is money, keep it safe. Don't cheap out on $100 for a decent hardware wallet when you're storing a couple thousand dollars worth of crypto... It's just not a good idea, and you'll end up losing funds sooner or later (and at this point you'll wish you had spend $100 on a hardware wallet, or a couple of hours learning how to properly generate and secure a paper wallet).

thanks for you hard work bro , i will read more about that ♥

and update on my case , i asked them how the contract should be formatted , and i am waiting for there reply

did you get any reply from them and how is the settlement of your case progressing?
they are not competent authorities or judges and it is not up to them to check your contracts.

it's unclear to me why you don't want to put more pressure on them, especially on public channels. I am sure they would devote themselves more to your case to avoid negative publicity.

hello , i have send the contract they want , and the ask for more info about my fund , and i send almost 70 Screenshots of transactions i receive from my clients

and i don't want to fight with them that's why i did not share my stole every where , i am afraid that's may give them the reason to block my account  , but my last chance will be expose them if i did sent all the requested documents and my problem did not solve

---------------------------

afaik, trust wallet is closed source and i've never heared about "Guarda".

Why don't you just stick with open source, community vetted and long time trusted wallets instead of using closed source or obscure wallets?
Electrum, sparrow, bitcoin core,.. or if we're talking about "considerable" amounts maybe a trusted hardware wallet instead?

EDIT: apparently, trust wallet IS open source... I'd still advice you to use electrum or the likes tough...

thanks for advice , but i need online wallet where i can use it on my phone and also have multi coin not one type , can you give me good advice ?

-------------------------

Use a wallet which private key is in your own possession. You don't give control of your private key to anyone else. It's like you are asking bank to have your crypto. If you are in bitcoin then Electrum is the best if you don't want to use the full node of course. Make sure you keep your seed safe, not in a digital format.

When you will send crypto to exchange, don't send large amount. Better if you use mixer which will break connection. Send the mixed coins to the exchange. There are also decentralized exchanges where you will never need KYC.

thanks for advice i will read more about that

-------------------------

Thanks for other comments, I really appreciate your kindness guys , yes i shouldn't use this wallet , but you know people do mistakes

i will keep you all on updates
