Der §23 geht davon aus,dass kryptos Wirtschaftsgüter sind. Das ist ja noch nicht wirklich geklärt. Sollte es hierzu neue Ansätze geben denke ich wird sich Vaterstaat schon was einfallen lassen um noch nicht verjährte Forderungen rückwirkend einzusacken. Betrachtet man die finanzielle Ländrlage aufgrund von Corona und weiterhin rasant steigende Bitcoin Kurse könnte dieser Ansatz gut als finanzieller Lückenstopfer genutzt werden. Ist nur meine Spekulation, aber wäre ich in der Politik würde ich in diese Richtung arbeiten.

Seems to be an interesting experiment, and question regarding whether it is going to have any solid value in the future or just a means to suck some more people into a scam... Don't get me wrong, it seems that they may be making some meaningful efforts in the direction of rectifying matters in the event that the official story (regarding an unknown hacker) is actually true.
I have the fear that this will be common in cryptoland.

hat ma ja an dem kurzzeitig erhöhten kurs gesehen.
bearisch könnte es erst werden wenn der dieb auscasht bzw finex fiat braucht.

Bitfinex ist bald Geschichte. Da braucht ja bloß 1 Person da in Amerika Anklage erheben and the shit hits the fan. US$-Trader haben mit Sicherheit die größten Bestände an BFX Coins ("herzlichen Glückwunsch !") aber dürfen die nur Verkaufen, nicht Ein-Kaufen.
Warum eigentlich?
Und dann gibt's da Probleme mit Withdrawals bis hin zu Account Freezes wo dann auch keine Trades mehr möglich sind (siehe Reddit). Da sagen einige Leute sie hätten nur 5$ in den gefreezten Payment Methods aber alles wurde ihnen gesperrt.
Damit verlagern sich die BFX zwangsläufig in den Euopäischen Raum (oder China) was mich sehr verwundert. Die könnten Preisparität erreichen wenn die gestohlenen BTC wiedergefunden werden, was kaum passieren wird. Und damit tendiert der Wert gegen Null.
Tether hatte halt die Vorteile auf den beiden umsatzstärksten und renomiertesten Plätzen präsent zu sein, und da gehen Withdrawals in die eigene Wallet. Damit hat man sowohl die Dollars als auch die Bitcoins zu Hause im eigenen Stall. Musste man sich mit KYC/AML/etc erst registrieren, aber halt "da drüben" und nicht hier. Der hiesige Fiskus sieht also deine Geldströme nicht (denn wenn die Geld sehen, wollen sie dieses Geld "haben")
Die jetzt entstehende Lücke wird recht bald von jemandem wieder gefüllt werden. Das wird auch wieder 1/2 Ganove sein wie etwa der Dotcom oder vergleichbares, aber es wird passieren. So ist nun einmal der Lauf der Dinge.
also darauf das Bitfinex bald flöten geht würde ich nicht setzen. die konnten sich ja jetzt gut aus der sache rauswinden. vllt rollen paar köpfe und es gibt jahrelangen rechtstreit... die suchen ja nach investoren die in den iFinex laden einsteigen um diese BFX geschichte vorranzutreiben.

eine Kryptobörse ist eigentlich eine Gelddruckmaschine wenn man sich nicht ausrauben lässt. Irgend ein wild-west-investor wird den karren schon aus dem dreck ziehen.
US-trader werden (scheinbar) grundsätzlich vom traden ausgesperrt da diese segregated-hot-wallet geschichte von US behörden gefordert wurde und so der hack überhaupt erst möglich gemacht wurde.

um die lücke kurzfristig zu schließen mussten sie wieder auf coldwallets schwenken. somit gibts da wohl ein rechtsproblem.
ist ja auch nichts neues das zb Bürger von NY aus BTC-börsen ausgesperrt werden wegen dieser BitLicense welche Superintendent Benjamin "revolving-door" Lawsky verbrochen hat.
sowas passiert halt wenn man meint weltweit die regeln bestimmen zu können.
ob an dieser Finex-Tether geschichte was dran ist kann ich auch nicht sagen. aber wenn schon außdrücklich betont wird das es nicht so ist... naja, reicht für mich um wachsam zu sein und nicht alles auf Tether zu setzen.

irgendwie kommt es mir noch wie verarsche vor. ist hoffentlich nur meine wahrnehmung.
Das einzige Warnsignal in meiner Wahrnehmung war "Ohscheiße Gyrsur Gendert !!11!" das war nämlich der Anfang vom Untergang für die Piratenpartei.
Ansonsten war ja zu erwarten das der Bitfinex Einfluß verebben wird. Dort laufen heute 20% des Umsatzes im Bereich USDT/USD was genau 0% Marge hat (plus Gebühren) ich glaube nicht, das alle verprellten Kunden jetzt scharenweise IN den Tether "flüchten". Eher die Gegenrichtung.
Und nun schaue ich mir die Top Ten der Handelsseiten an, und frage mich wem man da noch vertrauen kann. Der Nummer Eins, der Zwei sowieso nicht mehr, die Drei ist schon länger suspekt und Vier wäre Kraken. Bei wem handelt ihr?

I recall that when they prompted me to change my password, the notice said that I would not be able to withdraw for 5 days after the change of my password. I believe that every single bitfinex account holder was prompted in such a direction to change their password in order to sign back in.. so built in withdrawal restriction with that.
some 2FAs havent worked. so the users were forced to change it. sow, who does believe that was random ?
and as we can see now, also some of the "working" withdraws are pending...
I thought that they said that based on security measures, they were requiring every account holder to change his/her password - but I don't know if that 5 day withdraw restriction period is automatically applied or if they are still processing withdrawals manually (seems that they may be willing to process withdrawals manually before the 5 day period expires? maybe they are just not saying at this time in order to take advantage of the 5 day restriction that they allowed their system to impose?
ive mentioned it that way:
normal passwort change was mandatory and does not cause a 5 days restriction.
but if you change higer "security measures" which was recommended. than you have to wait.
I think also the 5 days restriction is nothing new, but they havent highlighted that fact before security change recommention .
