Re: Please HELP they wont process my transaction

This is a good start, extra points if the lawyer is familiar with crypto related cases and how crypto platforms play around with their terms of service.

Yes I was thinking a banking and financial lawyer.

I think their headquarters is located in London, but I am not too sure what you mean by 'legal head office'.
I think any of their physical branches can be held culpable too.

- Jay -

I would assume each physical branch might deal with legal complains from a determined set of countries.

When I said legal head office I meant the branch that deals with the legality of my country.

If anybody knew this information so when I go to a lawyer I know what country I am dealing with.

Thank you

He probably meant those crypto related media like cointlegraph, coindesk etc, but I think you will pay a hefty fee if you decided to run your story there. Maybe start with making some noise on Twitter, Reddit and YouTube (YouTube would be a good idea if you came a cross a good influencer and scam buster like Coffeezilla) but I guess everything just rotates around money.

Thank you, I will explore this possibility, I wouldn't mind pay a fee, I had no idea these things even existed.

@margotcoins, it doesn't cost you anything to create user accounts on the social media they use and remind them of your problem there. The only question is how much they care about their reputation, which is already more bad than good anyway. Just look at what their users say on TrustPilot -> https://www.trustpilot.com/review/blockchain.com

As for crypto media, @Bitcoin_Arena  is right, I was thinking of one of the most popular ones, although he is probably right when he says that it probably wouldn't be free, but it's worth a shot.

Sadly I only recently found out of the trustpilot bad rep, I'll try contact them on some social media accounts and see what happens.

I'll also check these crypto media guys out and see what they do and what they can offer.

What is also not free is legal advice, which would be good to get, but do not fall for the trick of various "online lawyers" and do not pay anything in advance. It would be best to find a local lawyer with a good reputation if you decide to take legal action.

I will recommend that you do not take legal actions right now, only because of the cost of consulting a lawyer and other things relating to it. A better option will be to exhaust all the 'free' methods you can use to put pressure on them to act on your case and probably release your funds.

The thing is, centralized services are famous for confiscating people's funds for any reason they can come up with, though i have a feeling that since support is yet to tell you the 'wrong' you have done; and they claim they do not even know what is wrong, then the specific department may probably contact you, but it could take a long time.

I agree, I'll keep the legal option as the last resort, and hopefully it won't come to that. Usually here some lawyers won't charge your for the first consultation so I thought it might be a good idea to consult with them and pick their brain a little to see in what waters I am.

But just in case how would I go about finding out the legal residence and the legal head office so I can prepare what country I might have to deal with?

I am finding offices all over, Luxemburg, London, Miami, how can I know which one is going to be the main legal office?

Guess I am learning the lesson the hard way, I had such good experiences with other big exchanges I never thought this was a thing. I was always aware of the possibility of them going under but keeping your funds without justification and with lack of communication feels way worse than any other scenarios.

Sadly there is not much to dance with as they don't ask for anything, I could easily provide all the proof of origins for the funds.

Thanks for the link to the other thread, I couldn't find anything on my own.

So far they didn't ask me for any information, although my account is fully verified not sure if that makes a difference.

Yes, they keep saying the review process is ongoing and I will be contacted by the dedicated department (they also won't say which department).

Also my funds came from another exchange, I don't think I violated any of their rules (gambling or mixer).

It's about 0.5 btc which is a big amount to me..

I bought the coins on kraken, moved to my private wallet, then moved them my blockchain account where they stayed for a couple of years. Then few months ago I decided to move them back to my private wallet.

I would say the website is legitimate, I am having few doubts about the company as this practices seem a little shady. I don't understand why they don't just say what the problem is.

That's why I was asking if anybody had any interactions with them, if they had similar situations happen to them or if you know what is going on with this company.

I was also looking for advices on how to move legally, but so far they have been responding. Would you initiate the legal action from your country or theirs? (I am in Italy btw)

Thank you

Hi,

about three months ago I initiated a transfer from my account on blockchain dot com to my private wallet and since them it has been marked 'pending' and 'in review'.

Customer support is awful as they keep repeating they have limited information and the issue is with they specific department that will contact you when they get to your case.

They won't say what the problem is or anything relevant to the matter as they say customer support themselves don't know what the problem is, just please wait for the internal department contact.

Anybody knows what is going on with this company?

Can anybody please help me navigate this massive mess up on my part?

At this point I am thinking on taking legal action on them as they leave me no other choice.

Could anybody give any advice on what to do?

Thank you!

The lowest voltage at which it'll run stable for a given frequency is the voltage you want. Means less power and less heat.

great, lower voltage it is !!!

The colder you can keep it, the better. I'd shoot for keeping it under 70C.

70C where at ? the heatsink ? any particular spot we should check temps at with a laser gun ?

about the newpacs (at 350 freq) I am checking heatsink (31C) and the two chips on the back (49C) are temps too high or too "low" ? can I increase freq while staying in a 'safe zone' ?

I am now thinking about frequencies ..

on the r606, from a 'hardware health' point of view, is it better to run high frequencies and low voltages or viceversa ? or it doesn't matter ?

for examples is it better to run 900 freq at 400mV or is it better to run 750 freq at 440mV ? or it doesn't matter ? or how do you gauge for the 'perfect' setup ? temps ? anything else ?

what about the newpacs ? I see some of you are running them at 600 freq, what 'safe' temp can I look for so I can just forget about them and leave them running ? (have them now at 350)

Now i see whats happening, i had the same with asic boost and windows. Try noboost option. On win10 speed was dramtic with asic boost on, would not work at all.
Now is switched to linux asic boost is no problem at all.
Windows is not handling USB very well and such the newpac's are not running well when using asic boost on windows.
This made me switch to linux, instead of aprrox 950 Ghs, running 1250 Ghs now with same number of newpac's

you Sir nailed it !!!

I am on linux and it never occurred to me to try the no boost, I thought it was only a windows problem, I tried the --gekko-lowboost and the --gekko-tune-down % but with no results and never the noboost !!!

thank you !!!

now to play with those frequencies !!!

thanks again !!!!

EDIT: whit the -noboost they are running like a clock, BRAVO to you

for ease I disconnected the r606 and I am only testing the gekko hub with the newpacs (I also tried with the terminus running and I am getting the same results)

also for ease every time I am running a NP the frequency is set to 100 (always with cooling)

all usb on the mobo have been tried with same results (btw the terminus runs the same on all usb 2.0 and 3.0)

all ports on the gekko have been tested (except the "D" port)

all newpacs have been tested one by one (all plugged into the hub and also just connected one at the time to the gekko)

If all that continues to create the same issues.  Your next method would be to use the front ports.  Since this is not in a case you will need to find a way to plug a usb header cable into one of the usb header ports on the MB.  As you currently have 2 for usb 2.0 and 2 for usb 3.0...

I only had access to some 2.0 front ports to test, same result

I bought some 3.0 front ports I should get in a couple of days and I will update you on that

Last option, pick up a raspberry pi 4, throw them into a closet and call it a day  Grin

I might be able to have a friend lend me one .. not sure if he still has it but it'd be nice to run them on it for sure and see what happens !!!

If it behaves the same even with an R606 plugged in, it's not a USB throughput limitation because bandwidth use is directly proportional to total hashrate. Does it matter how ports are used on the hub?

I didn't know about that (very curious) but while I was playing with the NP here is how I tried to dissect the all thing

I am using serial numbers for targeting, now that all ports have been tested I am using ports 3, 4, 6 and 7 on the gekko

the setup: https://imgur.com/hYJGrIL

test 1: run 808 and 838 on one 6A lane = https://imgur.com/fyiHDyj  OK

test 2: run 839 and 836 on one 6A lane = https://imgur.com/PK1T6Db  OK

test 3: run 808 and 836 on two 6A lane = https://imgur.com/1EYJlxB  OK

test 4: run 838 and 839 on two 6A lane = https://imgur.com/zJ26RJf  OK

test 5: run all of them with one instance for each 6A lane = boom problem https://imgur.com/yOs36ZO

same thing if I just run one instance for all the NP  https://imgur.com/XA5GE3o

All ports on the hub were tested?

absolutely yes, 1 through 7, one by one, except for the "D" port on the 2A lane

Back six from the power input are powered for the sticks right?

not sure what you mean here, the hub is powered by the psu if that's what you are asking

EDIT: here is all four of them running at freq 200 for less than an hour: https://imgur.com/LiBPXdc

EDIT 2: what is the red light on the gekko hub ? https://imgur.com/X9pPZ0k
I was running 838 and 836 in ports 3 and 6 and it was off. I plugged 808 and 839 in 4 and 7 and now it's on ..

hey guys, thank you for taking the time, I am running ubuntu 18.04 on a gygabite Z170-HD3 DDR3, cpu is a intel core i3-6100 3,7GHz, OS is on a ssd

psu is a corsair CS550M, nothing connected to the mobo, it's a remote machine, just the ethernet cable, the r606 and the gekko hub

only thing I had to leave connected is the hdmi cable plugged into the mobo and the screen (monitor has no power whatsoever) because for some reason without I couldn't share its screen (all black)

for the gekko I tried different usb ports, 2.0 and 3.0, shared and not, even without the terminus, same thing, the r606 seem to not mind which port is running onto

I tried the newpacs one by one and singularly they all run great, also in pairs, trouble starts when I run a new instance for one of the other two (one or both)

I also tried to connect them all to the gekko hub and run them one at the time using their serial numbers (--gekko-serial), they all are fine until I start the third and/or forth, doesn't matter which one

anyway I can test the bus / traffic lanes of the motherboard not being able to keep up as you suggested ?

here is the pc:

absolutely same result with the brick

all 4 together they just won't run stable (or 3)

but with 2 or less at the same time I am great

EDIT: no sure if it might help to diagnose, I tried running all 4 stick at freq 75

so by the formula 75 x 0.228 = 17.1 Gh/s

same behaviour, the first two sticks I start run perfectly at 17 or even a little more

as soon as I start the third and/or forth boom, they all start jumping up and down, even dropping to 1 Gh/s and then trying to go back up, with WU % around 50 % or less

so (I think) I made some huge progress and thought I share the results:

the terminus has been running rock solid and cool at around 1Th/s (thanks to minefarmbuy help)

the sweet spot for me was setting 5 on the vcore or 440mV and 900 freq (edit: I am also experimenting with 875 and 850 seeing that the r606 always seems to stabilize at 825 by itself)

(edit2: I am getting almost the same hashrate with freq 750 and volt 6 so I am running it this way, way cooler and less power)

temps look great, the heatsinks sit at 29C (above) and 33C (below), air coming out almost feel "cold" ! room temp is around 24C

the newpacs (I have four), well, these little fuckers are putting up a fight, but also I think I might be on the way to figure it out (hopefully with your help)

what did it for me was isolating (got it from the thread not my idea) and running separate instances on cgminer

problem is if I run one or two sticks they run great (98-99 WU)

when I start the third instance is where they all start to jump all over the place and usually getting 40 to 50 % WU with spikes to 80 % ( at 200-225-250 and even at 100 freq)

can anyone point me to why that is ? I though it might be a power related problem but even when I just run the gekko 7 port hub without the terminus I get the same results, I don't get it !

any help very much appreciated !

https://imgur.com/DC2Fh6x

setup is a psu corsair CS550M powering only a mb and cpu running ubuntu 18.04, no video card

what do you guys think ? it's really driving me crazy

EDIT: I get better rate with 2 sticks instead of 4 so I ended up unplugging 2 ! still I would like to run all four ..

What frequency are you telling the R606 to try for?  You should be able to do the stock 550Mhz on voltage level 4 and save allot of power.  I would shoot for a target of 750Mhz.

I am on voltage level 7 or 460mV and running at 750Gh/s

Are you using a USB hub?

https://imgur.com/DC2Fh6x

well I have the hub with the 4 newpacs that connects to the motherboard, and then r606 that also connect to the motherboard ..

are you suggesting I connect the r606 to the gekkoscience 7 port base hub with the newpacs ?

Yes it's a good idea to have a backup pool or two.

But you are using the same pool just two different ports on that pool.  So that doesn't help for a  failover pool.

got it, I thought failover was more for ports and not for the entire pool

if you run solo on ck what failover pool would you use ? thank you !

From what I understand the odd versions are like betas and the even numbers are the supported releases.  I would go with the 18.04 LTS (Long Term Support) version.

thank you ! I didn't know that, and now I was able to get everything up and running with Ubuntu https://imgur.com/DC2Fh6x

On the r606, by checking the heat, I gradually increased the vcore voltage up to the 460mV max and I am getting an average of 750gh/s, the newpacs are averaging about 10gh/s each

what do you guys think ? do you see any mistakes ? is there room for improvement or should I just let it be ?

should I dial down the r606 vcore voltages ? honestly I didn't get much of a difference by jumping up from 430mV to 460mV.

also I connected to the pool with the stratum+tcp protocol which I seem to understand is a desirable option as it helps keep track of your shares without counting only on your connection

about the pools I added a second pool server to cgminer, 'failover' should kick in in case the first pool drops, is this a good idea or is it best to just connect to one ? btw I am using de.ckpool.org:3333 and de.ckpool.org:443

Thank you !

Based on what you're telling me, The miner appears to be detected MacOS. take a look at this procedure to remove the VPS modem driver:

When you mentioned swapping from USB2 and USB3 i figured; imo if you have the technical expertise to setup a Hackintosh, I would recommend you dual boot into Ubuntu on a separate drive.  it will be far less PITA to troubleshoot on your exact, same hardware. Even the Identifier (e.g. imac13,1 imac13,2 imac14,2) you picked in Clover can make a huge difference as to how ports are addressed, and is typically hardware-specific to your motherboard and chipsets. I can help out with mining on MacOS, but troubleshooting hackintoshes is out of my wheelhouse.

I ended up buying a ssd where I will be installing Ubuntu as you recommended, hopefully I can manage.

I am looking at the latest version for desktop 19.04, is this one ok or should I go with the previous version 18.04 ?

Thank you for all the help !

All I can see in the top post about macs is this line of code I don't understand. Should I just run it or am I missing something ?

Mac OSX Compiling with Homebrew (NewPac Only / R606 support on the way)

    El Capitan (10.11.6)

Code:
/usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
brew doctor
brew tap vthoang/cgminer
brew install cgminer

1. which mac are you on?  >About This Mac>System Report>Model Identifier  (e.g. MacPro5,1)

well, it's actually a hackintosh I put together, the identifier was installed as a iMac late 2012 running 10.12.6, I wanna say 13,1 but could also be 13,2 (21 vs 27 inch imac)
it's a gygabyte Z170-HD3 motherboard with a intel 3.7 GHz Intel Core i3 and a crucial PSU, no video card, I am using the machine as a home server so I only access it remotely

2. Do you get some sort of error message?

not that I can tell, here is what I get when starting cgminer, I would say no error beside the no device found

Code:
[2019-10-07 14:48:47] Started cgminer 4.3.3
[2019-10-07 14:48:49] No devices detected!
[2019-10-07 14:48:49] Waiting for USB hotplug devices or press q to quit
[2019-10-07 14:48:49] Need to specify at least one pool server.
Input server details.
URL:
de.ckpool.org:3333    should I use stratum+tcp://de.ckpool.org:3333 instead ? not even sure what the difference is here ..
Username:
[btc] address
Password:

and then it logs in ck pool, I get the authorised and welcome message

Code:
[2019-10-07 15:08:15] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 10000
[2019-10-07 15:08:15] Pool 0 message: Authorised, welcome to solo.ckpool.org
[2019-10-07 15:08:15] Probing for an alive pool
[2019-10-07 15:08:16] Network diff set to 12.8T

problem is no hashrate

3. When the r606 is plugged into the mac, in the System Information app, does it show up as a device under Hardware>USB>USB Device Tree ?

Under USB it shows up as R606 Bitcoin Miner

and below all a bunch of data

Code:
R606 Bitcoin Miner:

  Product ID: 0x6015
Vendor ID: 0x0403  (Future Technology Devices International Limited)
  Version: 10.00
  Serial Number: GS-100XXXXXX
  Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
  Manufacturer: GekkoScience
  Location ID: 0x14600000 / 1
  Current Available (mA): 500
  Current Required (mA): 90
  Extra Operating Current (mA): 0
  Built-In: Yes

vh created an r606 branch to the cgminer compile.  perhaps try testing this branch. See this post for compiling instructions:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.msg51597960#msg51597960

You mentioned this branch to cgminer, I am just a little confused.
Should I run the Homebrew code you guys talk about on the first page ?
And then your branch ? Or just run your branch code ?
I am asking because I don't understand the code ..  so not sure how to proceed, thank you!
