I hope mv1986 put some money on these picks he perfectly selected all the winners! If I'm not mistaken, hitting all 13 legs would’ve given total odds of over x1000.
I managed to get 12 out of 13; I missed the last leg which was No. 1, Andreas Gustafsson. I picked Khaos Williams to win that one instead Gustafsson.

I think mv1986 took 1st place in that contest hoping I got 2nd. 😅

13. Merab Dvalishvili
12. Kayla Harrison
11. Joe Pyfer
10. Kevin Holland
9. Mario Bautista
8. Joshua Van
7. Cong Wang
6. Waldo Cortes-Acosta
5. Joo Sang Yoo
4. Azamat Murzakanov
3. Quillan Salkilld
2. MarQuel Mederos

Andreas Gustafsson

NOT go the Full Distance 7

Lol for real? I always trust Jeremy and never check the full results, but this would be crazy. Getting 13 out of 13 correct with odds over 1000x, let me be honest and tell you I did NOT place a bet on all those fights, let alone one where I combine them all in a 13-way parlay lol Cheesy

It almost hurts to find out from you that I really got them all correct. Jeez, be bold next time and put $1k on a parlay hm? Cheesy

Imagine you would have done it and you get that last fight wrong. That must be mental destruction!

That's exactly were I'm driving at, his injury was something else, which in turn made him not to perform at all. And it made me wonder how he played for that long for Chelsea without this injury. I can't remember Hazard going out for four weeks at Chelsea. Even Bale that Real Madrid fans was too fragile that time was even better than Hazard because he wasn't booking an appointment with the doctors after every minute played. Hazard will play for 20 minutes and be in the hospital for weeks. Such a talent wasted just because of injuries. Yes it true that he gained too much weight in the transfer window that he was transferred to Spain.

Yes but the turn of events going from healthy to cripple was insane for him. DOn't know if you had a look at this list, but yes when he still played for Chelsea it was very normal. Missed a game here and there, but nothing too bad. But look at the list and see what happened as soon as he went to Real Madrid. It's completely confusing to me because he was literally not available to them anymore. Right, plays 20 minutes, goes 20 days into the hospital and that isn't even a joke. See his performance data, in four years he played 2500 minutes in La Liga. That's nothing, and his injuries frequently cost him easily weeks if not months. He started his whole Real Madrid journey with 26 days injured, followed by 9 days injured, followed by 68 days injured and this is only in less than the first six months there.

Sadly he is one of those examples that show how important health is. There is nothing you can do, not with the best talent in the world, if your body turns against you. Careers like that of Ronaldo or Messi would simply not be possible if they didn't have this outstanding physical condition for so many years. And keep in mind both players, Ronaldo and Messi, have been victims to harsh attacks on the pitch all the time.

What we just see today in the games for the european qualifiers, i mean poor guys the ones who bets on handicaps for England and Bosnia in their respectives matches against the super weak Andorra and San marino, how you can only score one goal against this teams?

And England was full of stars, what a shame for them. Congratulations for Andorra for hold it.

England was a big disappointment for me as well today. Sad You have one of the best lineups among all national teams. But you still can't even score more than 1 goal against Andorra. It doesn't matter it is played home or away. Tuchel has just started his job of course I know about that. But their performance was much better in the previous group matches. It would be a pity for them if Tuchel also fails in making them reach their highest potential. For now they don't look ready for bigger opponents.

I was seriously hoping for that lucky goal for Andorra. That would have been a brilliant shame for them. I don't know how that was even possible, but this has probably been the best result against a top team in the history of Andorra football! Cheesy

The funny thing is that Tuchel refrained from rotating and said they would not be joking around against Andorra, they will be fully serious about it, lol Cheesy

England definitely has one of the strongest teams, but as it is in any sport, in a week from now or until the next game has been played, nobody will be talking about this anymore. Still wanted to watch a Tuchel interview, wonder what he had to say about that game.

I  didn't say he wasn't a world class player, no team can pay that amount of money for a player who isn't proven especially Real Madrid. He was a bad signing for Real Madrid doesn't mean he wasn't an excellent player. Some players don't perform well at other teams even though they were the best player in their formal team. Hazard was phenomenal in his formal team that's why he commanded such amount on transfer fee but was no were near even one of his best performances for Chelsea in his entire Real Madrid career. I can boldly suggest that Hazard was Real Madrid's worst signings in decades considering the amount of money the club spent in purchasing him.

As a bottom line you could argue that his performance wasn't the same as it used to be when he played for Chelsea, but in all honesty the fact that he missed almost 100 games in four years, club and national team combined, says a lot about his physical condition and it is quite normal for any player to not find back to old strength then. When you open up his list of injuries, it's ridiculous. He had literally everything and it was nonstop, hamstrings, broken ankle, like everything you could have on your legs.

If a top player is to suffer from a similar list of injuries, I would like to see how they would be doing regardless of the club they are playing for. One big mistake that Hazard did indeed make was to be overweight in like the first two months. But leaving that aside, he was extremely unlucky with his body. It is very rare that players suffer from that many injuries.

History
On this day 6 years ago, one of the biggest transfers in history was made and Chelsea reached an incredible and an insane deal with Real Madrid. Chelsea reached an agreement for Real Madrid to sign Eden Hazard for €100 million and an insane condition that will make Real Madrid to pay Chelsea  £5 million each time they win a trophy. I still wonder how Real Madrid agreed to such a clause in his contract before signing him, this is what desperation gets you in my opinion. That signing was a waste of money for Real Madrid because Hazard was of no single benefit to the team in all the years he spent there.

But you are suggesting that Hazard was not a world class player, but the contrary is true.

What clubs sometimes can't see coming is an endless list of injuries. That was the case for Eden Hazard and if that didn't happen, he was certainly among the top three offensive midfielders in the world. If he remained without injuries, he would have been a ballon d'Or candidate without a doubt.

I think if you look at decisions retrospectively, it is of course easy to say it was a waste of money. Obviously it was in hindsight, but when Hazard peaked, there were good reasons to justify that transfer.

Imagine a club would now pay €150 million for Yamal and right after he joins a new club, his body is going against him, knee injuries etc. Would it be a waste before the fact is known? I don't think so. Hazard's injury list ended up being insane, nobody could anticipate that.

When Real Madrid signed him, he was at 85 goals in 245 games as an offensive midfielder and that doesn't count the assists. Too bad it turned out that way for him. Real Madrid will get over it financially Wink

Erik Ten Hag is a coach that likes to work with the players he has coached in his previous clubs. I wouldn't be surprised if Erik Ten Hag performs the same way he performed at Manchester United at Bayer Leverkusen.

I thought that, but ever since he messed with CR7 and said he wouldn't put him in to play, I told myself that guy was a total idiot. How could you not put a teammate in to play just because you don't like him? It's like me saying about Real Madrid that Yamal is bad just because he's from Barcelona, It's immaturity, and that's exactly what I see in Ten Hag. I hope he doesn't take Leverkusen for the losses and put them in the same position as Mu.

The biggest opponent Ten Hag had in his coaching career was himself and his ego. It is exactly as you pointed out with the Yamal example, it is dumb. But he couldn't get over himself and wanted that fight against Ronaldo at all cost. He was the beginning of the end for Manchester United because what he left behind was one of the worst Manchester United teams there have ever been.

What strikes me as odd now is that Leverkusen made the experience how important it is to have a coach with strong communication skills and no ego problems. Now that Alonso leaves them, the best idea they come up with is ten Hag? What the heck, I wonder why they would do that...

Ten Hag is as much the opposite of Alonso as he could be, there are literally zero similarities between the two coaches. I think it is a mistake, but who knows maybe it is owed to the fact that not too many coaches are available at all.

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself, England does this every time.
I look at their roster and say 'they have to score 5 goals minimum' and they will barely win against the mighty Andorra.

jayce - yours was the smart call. Looks like 2 draws in the first 3 games, it's killing me season after season. This time I have only myself to blame though - especially with Sabalenka.

Because we al know how it ends once you decide to go against them. Then they score a ton of goals Cheesy

Many of those results are very difficult to predict. England has more than 80% ball possession and yet they scored a single goal against Andorra so far. It is inconceivable and yet there they are.

Still some time to go though, but this is definitely not what Tuchel wants his team to show. I wonder how he is going to explain this at the press conference. Andorra, come on...

even though i'm not playing yet, i follow this thread daily and can tell you that there will soon (by next season at the latest) be a third german club in the bsfl - in green and white colors, of course Cool Wink

Too bad you haven't started just this season, why did you hesitate? The big challenge now is that you have to start in division 4 unless someone will sell their club from a higher division. It's quite the challenge to work all your way up to division 1 and allow me this joke, especially when your club colors are green white Cheesy It's crazy how close Bremen was last season to a huge success it if didn't end with all those draws in their last few games.

In most of the cases, 5 points would be enough for a win, but unfortunately for you I scored my all time high of 8. I am sure that if you continue scoring so much, wins will come for sure.

Congratulations once again for your all-time best, I've never had 8 points. I completely agree with you that with 5 points you normally have at least a draw, and in most cases even a win. But let's see, I started very badly, can only get better, my goal is to stay in division 2 again anyway.

Oh my god @Koal-84 I see where this is going for you right from the start Cheesy 8-5, EIGHT-5 is brutal in BSFL. Can't lose a German club from division 2 this season, we need to fight back. Let me know if your team needs additional financing, we can arrange a charity game for you Tongue

@VashaUdacha777 hope you are preparing well, after last round I am on fire and there is only way one way from here: turn the first win of the season into a never-ending streak! Wink Good luck though.

Changing the structure now is a problem.

I guess we cant really change the rules midway huh

Nice spotting mv, the draw problem. I also think that we can't change the rules after two league tournaments. IMO it is not that bad. We have on average let's assume 35 players so technically you have 3*4 = 12 places paid if you don't look at every individual league tournament in isolation. We are going to have the same players more or less anyway.
But again, this is just my interpretation and we could have some exciting changes in the next event as others feel. I am ok with it however you guys feel comfortable.

@arallmuus to have a one-hand-all-in kind of solution to the draw situation. While it is quick and practical, I don't particularly like it, but if those who are affected will agree to this sort of solution, I am fine with it. I won't be affected anyway, so up to whoever might be (or King Royse has the last word of course).

If we have around 30 people, the least we can do in the next series is something like giving the first three an edge, and then have a flatly decreasing point structure similar to formula 1. I think finishing 1st should be additionally awarded. But it shouldn't be set up the way it is now. At this point if a player has zero points gathered, a 3rd place is probably not even worth it anymore as it would require the player to have at least another 3rd place finish in the fourth round.

Could we arrange a "classic" distribution of In-the-money places for next two rounds ?
For example, distribution in normal SWC tournaments:

players    places paid

15-19     3
20-23     4
24-34     5
35-47     6

The problem with just 3 prizes is early stage brainless gambling, especially in fourth tournament, where only first place really counts for promotion to the final.

What Improved says here is correct. Following an ITM structure should be the way to go for any of the next series we are going to have. With the structure that is now in place, 1st place in any given tournament is automatic grand final qualification. If I am not mathematically wrong here, there is no way to push anyone with a 1st place in any of the four tournaments out of the top 6.

We now have
500
500
300
300
200
200

This is as distributed as it can get. Any double top 3 is good for anyone who is in the top 6 after the first round. If now those with 200 each win one tournament each, we have
700
700
500
500

and we assume that the 300, 300 both become 2nd again.

700
700
600
600
500
500
.

Changing the structure now is a problem. Next time we should have a quick discussion about it and come up with a solution that allows for more players to compete until the end.

One thing that has not been considered yet is what we do in case of a draw?
500
500
500
500
----------
300
300
300
300
----------
200
200
200
200

There are ways to resolve this, but I suggest they play an additional 4 way table.

@GxSTxV please send a BTC address over via PM so I can send you $15 for knocking me out. Well played.

This wasn't my day, I think I played three hands the whole time and those hands were bad hands. I literally blinded out by the antes and then was left with 8 BB and well yes, there is no coming back at some point, so I went with it when GxSTxV had AK. Could as well have had any hand I guess, let's see who makes it into the prize money.

Now another week of waiting to get this right again Wink

Just a quick question for the 1st round winners, was the withdrawal smooth? I mean, how did it go? Were they able to withdraw their prize, or did they end up playing it until they lost it? Which happen to me most of the time.. lol
Mv mentioned that it was successfully withdrawn.

Wanted to confirm that I received my prize money and withdrew it successfully.

The withdrawal was working for me but only because my prize reached the minimum threshold for withdrawals. You need at least 0.0005 BTC in your account or otherwise you can't withdraw. Only the first prize winner reaches that minimum threshold if no other deposits have been made. Other than that, withdrawals work but take some time.

Whether that min withdrawal requirement will be lifted or not, I don't know, but for now I think it still stands.

Is this final or round of 16?

It's a boring match, not boring in terms of two teams play defensively, but only one team dominating the match.

I thought there's still a hope when PSG scored 2 goals, but after they make it to 3 in minutes 63', the match is over. This match is one of the worse final Champions League I have ever watch.

Congratulations to PSG, a long awaited journey to win Champions League. When they trying so hard to have Mbappe, Neymar and Messi to win Champions League, but they won it without them.

If you are seriously asking whether this is the round of 16 or the final in the Champions League, maybe you should reconsider your motivation to post here in this thread at all and whether sports is the right place for you to spend time to fill your signature quota. I am usually not getting back to stupid posts, very seldomly, but this is beyond stupid.

But to make things clear: it was the round of 16! Champions League will continue with the round of 8 in September this year.

Seriously, why would my friend ask? My friend was surprised that a team like Inter, who had made it to the final, played so badly. Because PSG had crushed Inter.

It was clear from the cross kick of the match what kind of football it would be.
PSG started the match and threw the ball into Inter's half. They immediately put pressure on them. The match that started with that pressure continued with more pressure.
I did not expect such humiliating and disgraceful football.
It was the worst final match I have ever seen.
The Milan Liverpool match caught my attention, I thought it could be 3-3 from 3-0, but Inter was not in that mood.
My friend was as surprised as I was and emphasized that this match could not be a final match.

Counter sarcasm is that called Wink

By all means though I think nobody expected a game like this. Yes PSG would dominate the game in terms of ball possession and attacks and so on and so forth, but I was waiting for Inter's brutal efficiency from all those former games. One chance, one goal.

I can't remember the exact minute, but I had a look at the statistics and I think it was like 70 minutes into the game when Inter had no attempt on target. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was around that minute.

I don't know what happened to them, but you, when you are 0-3 down, who cares, go and attack and if you then lose 0-5, it doesn't matter. Inter never tried. But when you see how they did play in the last few weeks, maybe we could have seen this coming. It was of course shocking that they beat Barcelona. That was the moment I thought they could beat everyone.

Barcelona - PSG would have been THE final.

If I'm not mistaken, 5:0 is biggest win ever in Champions league final. I'm not supporter of neither of these teams, but probably it's worst final I ever saw. Such PSG dominace that final score perfeclty reflects the game. Inter from potential treble to 0 trophies this season.
I backed Inter and it cost me 1st place. Congrats to Sain-loup - well deserved. And also everyone who got prize spots, congratulations!

Yes it is the biggest win ever in the history of the Champions League / European Cup how it used to be called decades ago.

I have nothing to add here, everyone who loves football would never want to see a final like that and I think even as a player you would wish for this dramatic final to end in your favor. This game was over after 20 minutes because from then on the only question everyone asked themselves was whether Inter is serious or not and whether they will come out of the locker room and play football again. I don't know, sure it's cool to go down into the history books, but this was too easy.

It's very annoying how easy this match has been for PSG, Inter had no business in the UCL final if this was how they intend to play, Barcelona would surely have been a better match for PSG imo, 3-0 and the game is barely 60 mins gone, what a joke!

The third goal means I'm out of the LMS, because I have Over 3.5 goals No, and BTTS Yes, so even if Inter Milan were to pull one goal back now, it's not going to work. Embarrassed

If I am not mistaken, the commentator said that 4-0 was the record in the Eurocup final (as it was called in the past) and ever since the Champions League exists.

I couldn't more and have to say this wasn't what I was looking forward to. A disaster for Inter and for everyone who thought this is the clash of the giants. But I think this game has shown that Inter got away luckily a couple of times because they were able to score out of nowhere quite often. If that doesn't happen, obviously they can't switch and restructure their game, adapt to the circumstances.

I don't think it was coincidence that they lost in the Coppa, in Serie an and now in the Champions League. 5-0...
