Re: Sportsbet.io closed my account and didn’t pay out over 14,000 Dogecoins

After my bad experience with Sportsbet.io, I decided to bet with another bookmaker and tried Cloudbet. Look what happened with my very first bet.

Support: Greetings, my name is Deniz and I am a member of the Cloudbet support team. How may I be of assistance to you today?

Me: I have a question regarding a live bet I placed yesterday on a Premier League match. Specifically, I’m asking about the time it took for the bet to be accepted. After placing the live bet, I had to wait quite a while for it to be confirmed. After some time, a message appeared saying that live bet acceptance could take up to 5 minutes, followed by another message saying the bet might or might not be accepted due to some issues.
The stake amount was immediately deducted from my account upon placing the bet, but the bet itself did not appear in the active bets section, it only showed up there after a while. This was my first bet with you after a long break from using the platform, and I’d like to know if this is how the live betting process normally works with you?

Support: Could you please share with me the Bet ID? I'll start checking that right away.

Your bet
Created At 2025-04-03 20:39:00 UTC
and
ACCEPTED 2025-04-03 20:41:03 UTC

Me: Exactly, 2 minutes to accept a live bet? The acceptance should take just a few seconds.

Support: I understand your concern regarding the time it took for your live bet on the Premier League match to be accepted. Typically, live bets are processed promptly; however, various factors can influence the acceptance time.
Factors Affecting Live Bet Acceptance Time:
Market Activity: High betting volumes during popular events can lead to delays as the system processes numerous transactions simultaneously.
Odds Verification: Ensuring that odds are accurate and up-to-date during live events may require additional time, especially when significant in-game events occur

While a delay of up to 5 minutes is longer than usual, it's not unprecedented under certain conditions.

Me: To be honest, it’s the first time I’ve seen a live bet on a Premier League match take up to 5 minutes to be accepted.

Support: I understand your concern. Actually, as I mentioned above it typically takes up to 5 minutes for a live bet to be accepted, so the 2 minutes in your case was faster than usual. However, we're always working to improve the speed, and we'll keep monitoring the process to ensure a smoother experience.

What do you think about this? Are bookmakers honest? I don’t have time to look right now, but soon I’ll post how 1xBit robbed me.

Their impunity is really starting to piss me off.

What are you talking about, JollyGood? It’s been three days since they said they would pay out the money. They haven’t done it, and they won’t even bother to reply to an email. This Sportsbet.io scam needs to be stopped.

What I’ll do next:

First, I’ll file a complaint with Curaçao eGaming. Of course, they probably won’t do anything, but I can also report the case to the Dutch Gambling Authority. Curaçao is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. We’ll see if they respond to that.

I will report the case to the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net). From what I’ve found out, Sportsbet.io does not hold gambling licenses in EU countries and is violating general EU consumer protection laws (e.g., lack of transparency, deceptive practices).

I can also report the case to the European Commission and OLAF – the European Anti-Fraud Office.

I will also start contacting all the people who had issues with Sportsbet.io, there are hundreds of such cases online, which forms a strong basis to escalate the matter to Europol.

Let’s see if their actions will really pay off.

Yesterday I sent them an email about this, they haven’t responded. You all can see what kind of scammers they are.

So, Steve, who’s lying?

To all the defenders of Sportsbet who accused me of lying, your supposedly ultra-honest Sportsbet still hasn’t paid out the money. So, starting tomorrow, I’m launching a crusade against them.

Now everyone can see who is lying.

I don't understand why there are so many defenders of Sportsbet, this bookmaker does not play fair.

Show me a sentence that wasn’t true in what I wrote.

Was I sparing in telling the truth? I don’t think so. Because what difference does it make that my account was closed after I requested it, and then they stopped responding and didn’t pay out my money? That actually makes them look even worse. If I had been dishonest and they had closed my account, refusing to pay out my money, they would have had some arguments. But the fact is, they were the ones who were dishonest, they didn’t play fair, and that forced me to decide to close the account, so that I wouldn’t later get the idea that maybe they would stop cheating.

Did I make a mistake by sending an email to close my account before withdrawing my money? Of course. But I didn’t expect them to respond within 5 minutes, close the account immediately without a 24-hour period, and then stop responding to emails without paying out the money.

How many times do I have to say that I didn’t receive a response after my account was closed? I wouldn’t be writing here if they had sent me an email asking for a withdrawal address.

I only received an email asking for my address the next day, after I started posting about it in multiple places. And that was just one email. The next one, stating that they would process the withdrawal within two days, arrived the following day.

Did you lie in other forums as well? I mean you blamed the site for closing your account while in reality you asked them yourself to close it. And all that with having funds in the account. Seriously, it's hilarious. You try to defame a reputable site with your made up nonsense story just because YOU made a mistake in the first place. Next time you self exclude somewhere withdraw your funds first, just as every sane person would do.  Roll Eyes

People like you amuse me. You can’t seem to understand that what I’m saying is that after closing my account, they stopped responding and didn’t pay out my money.

Now I have to wait two days for something. For what? Is it really that hard for them to process a withdrawal?

sorry, but you are a fucking dumbass.
seriously, who asks for his account to be permanently closed before widthrawing his balance first?

They didn’t pay out my money and stopped responding to emails regarding the withdrawal of my remaining balance.
do you have any proof of this? because Steve say they sent you not one email but two emails asking you for an addy to send you your money. lying isn't gonna fly here, so please stop embarassing yourself and just go check your email, send them your address, and let's be done with this.

Accusation: "and didn’t pay out the money." Â
Truth: When an account is self excluded, you can not have access to your balance. Thats the point. We sent 2 Emails requesting the players personal crypto wallet address to we could pay out the owing balance. 2 emails. We did not, and have still not received a crypto currency wallet address to send the customer his remaining funds.
tbh, sportsbet should consider changing how this works.
instead of blocking access to everything, balance should be put in withdraw only mode. i think that would be a better way to deal with closing self excluded accounts that still have balance.

Who wants to close account when there’s money on it? Lol, me. I just thought there wouldn’t be any issues with the withdrawal.

Regarding the emails, when I sent them an email about self-exclusion, I got a response within 5 minutes. But when I asked about withdrawing my money, there was no response.
The first email from them came the next day, around midday, but I have a feeling that if I hadn’t started making noise about it, I would have waited much longer.
After receiving that email from Sportsbet, I replied asking for an exact balance statement for all cryptocurrencies in my account. I received no response.

I don’t know who Steve is or whether he was misled by support, but he wrote something untrue.

Today, I got a second email saying that they will process my withdrawal, but I have to wait two days.

I still don’t know how much they will pay out or in which cryptocurrencies, as they didn’t provide any details.
You can judge for yourselves whether this is normal behavior.

Here’s the full context of my situation with Sportsbet.io so that everyone understands what’s going on:

I had an account with Sportsbet.io for many years. Like most bettors, I love placing bets, especially on tennis. Naturally, as a bettor, my goal was to make money and win.

Initially, I placed bets based on what I considered a good pick, but in the long run, this didn’t bring the desired results. That’s clear. So over time, I started using different betting strategies to improve my chances of winning.

However, Sportsbet.io began doing everything possible to prevent me from winning.

For example, when I was using a specific betting pattern and stake strategy, where, statistically, I should eventually hit a win, Sportsbet.io would suddenly remove that type of bet, making it impossible to continue my strategy.

Of course, I didn’t like this, but after several arguments with them about unfair practices and their claims that it depended on some external factors, I had no choice but to give up on that approach.

Later, I tried different betting methods, but I often placed live bets on game winners in tennis.

To ensure I couldn’t win, Sportsbet.io started deliberately delaying bet acceptance when a single crucial point determined the outcome of the bet.

Many times, whether I won or lost on a given day depended on just a few unaccepted bets, which were intentionally delayed.

I was extremely frustrated by this and wrote to them many times, asking them to stop this unfair practice because it’s blatant cheating and not fair play.

It didn’t help. No matter how many times I complained, they always returned to this fraudulent practice after some time.

At this point, I made a mistake. I kept hoping that they would start playing fair. My biggest mistake was not quitting earlier and continuing to play with such an unfair bookmaker.

Eventually, my frustration reached its peak, and I decided to stop playing with them. I sent an email requesting permanent account closure.

And what happened?

Of course, they made one last cash grab. They didn’t pay out my money and stopped responding to emails regarding the withdrawal of my remaining balance.

They only responded once, and that was after I started making noise about the issue in multiple places.

The funniest part?

With their final actions, they completely confirmed my previous accusations that they are nothing but scammers.

Sportsbet.io is fu***** joke.

Write what is untrue in what I wrote. Can’t you read?

I think it’s clearly stated that **Sportsbet.io closed my account and didn’t pay out my money.**

Did you close my account? **Yes**
Did you pay out my money? **No**

At what point did I lie?

You made a scam accusation with no credible details. How do we know if you are telling the truth or not. If I came here and just said that you are scammer without any proof whatsoever, do you think anyone one would believe me?

If you are making a scam accusation, at least put an effort to also include some evidence. This thread can guide you on that; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

Do you really think I made this up?

Should I beg them in emails to kindly give me my money back? They only just now replied to one email.

Sportsbet.io closed my account with over 14,000 Dogecoins and didn’t pay out the money. No response to emails, no way to contact them. Today, I am filing a fraud and theft report with several national prosecutors. I will update this post with the progress of the case. Unfortunately, bookmakers like Sportsbet.io do whatever they want without any accountability. It's time to change that.

Best regards to all bettors.
