It seems like some of us don't like the freedom we have to invest in Bitcoin without the government wanting their own share of your hustle, I mean why are we so bothered about the government or CBN accepting Bitcoin? We are using Bitcoin on the low key already and thousands of our youths are aware of crypto currency, we are aware of Bitcoin and many of us are cashing out on it big time and I'm super excited about it, we no longer wait for white collar jobs after NYSC because of our awareness of Bitcoin and that's a win for us all, so with or without the approval or recognition from CBN we are good.

Re: How to gain financial freedom by investing in bitcoin in Nigeria
by
Anayochukwu
on 08/09/2025, 07:41:16 UTC
I believe everyone should do what works for them and not what everyone is doing because they say it is profitable, Bitcoin investment is not for everyone,  it is not for the faint hearted person and it is obviously not for anyone that is not earning salary weekly or monthly. When ever you are advising people to invest in Bitcoin always make sure that your audience are financially stable because Bitcoin is mostly profitable when you hold for long, Bitcoin investment is not something to invest today and pull out tomorrow because you need to survive first, indeed investing in Bitcoin will help eradicate poverty in our lives and it could also make you poor if you don't plan well.

A falling economy of a country could be the fault of both citizens and the government but the government plays a bigger role in the play because they are the ones up front and they are the decision makers and they control every aspect of the country, in the case of Nigerian economy right now is it getting better but some of the citizens are still painting it to be bad because of their selfish reasons. Right now a lot of things are actually going down in price and they are supposed to be affordable for everyone but some of our traders are using the previous situation in the country to rob us in the name of falling economy, and the government are not doing anything about the situation so the government and the citizens are to be blamed.

Re: Who is an educated Person?
by
Anayochukwu
on 08/09/2025, 07:23:41 UTC
Well according to the advanced learners dictionary, it describes an educated person as someone who has a very high standard of learning, while the Oxford dictionary states  that an educated person is someone that have been to a school, be it primary, secondary or tertiary, we all know that education plays an important role in the forum, cause one ought to know how to read and write properly to be able to participate in the activities going on here.

However in my understanding asides from knowing how to read and write, which describes someone educated, i think an educated person can also be described as someone that can set defenses around themselves against the world, most of us here come from or lives in areas that's insecured. Therefore based on their intelligence they should be able to strategize how to protect themselves and keep themselves from getting into danger, an illiterate might be physically strong  but might lack the basic understanding of how to survive, but it takes someone educated to study their surroundings and figure out how to safeguard themselves from being harmed. The insecurity in our country is getting out of hand, and in this new year we all need to be very strategic on how to survive. Everyone needs to be on guard, cause that's part of what makes us educated.

Being educated doesn't just mean going to school and reading books, being educated is the ability to use your senses to navigate lives struggles and the ability to show that you are exposed and your sense of reasoning should not be the same as an uneducated. An educated person is someone that has the ability to communicate to another person without being rebelious.

Re: Education before and Education now
by
Anayochukwu
on 07/09/2025, 21:30:33 UTC
The system of Nigeria education is getting worse daily, the pattern of classes, the lecturers schemes, students sluggishness to reading and attending classes, the value of certificates, lecturers students sex relationships and sorting courses, poor infrastructure and less concerned stigma from government, increase in tuitions fees and documents. Honestly everything is quite annoying about going to school that's why most people prefer handwork or skills than wasted years in school. But all this system wasn't like today in 1980s according to our parental history.

The internet contributed a little bit to the sluggishness to their studies and we all have been that most school dropout content creators are living large than devoted students, and another factor that contributed to the almost failed Nigerian education is our nonchalant leaders that cares only about themselves and family and as long as they are getting rich from our hard earned money, they are not bothered about the citizens anymore because their own children are schooling abroad and they failed to fix our education system.

Re: Bitcoin Education to Nigerians
by
Anayochukwu
on 07/09/2025, 21:10:59 UTC
The usage and awareness of Bitcoin in Naija is surely increasing, personally I think Nigeria is one of those countries in Africa where if it where down to the citizens, Bitcoin would have been a legal tender. Still the knowledge of Bitcoin statistically has been with the younger generation. Either in rural or urban areas. The market, women. Pensioners, Older entrepreneurs may not be armed with such knowledge. If more awareness is needed, what's the best way to reach a huge populace?
The youths are doing a great job with the knowledge they have of Bitcoin, the youths are utilizing the information well and I believe that is fair for now, market women are mostly small business owners and they don't need Bitcoin investment unless they need the information of Bitcoin to pass across to their kids to invest. In Nigeria now, once the old hear computer or online stuff it automatically means scam and convincing them about Bitcoin will be tough and you will be forced to give up. It is said that the younger ones are the leaders of tomorrow and as long as the youth are doing well in Bitcoin investment I'm fine with it.

Nothing we no go see for Nigeria. In those days when I was born, it is a normal thing to celebrate during end of year or during when una wan move to the next class.
This generation wey we dey now just dey up side down. How primary children wan take enjoy their time in primary schools if there is nothing like graduation ceremony? How they wan take showcase their talents? To me, wetin those two governors do no make sense. I taught in a private school, so I no the joy wey children dey get when activities like this dey go on, and by right, is it not the responsibility of the parents to take good care of their children especially through education.
I still think it is good that children have these experience of graduation ceremony regardless.

Banning those activities entirely was really extreme because we grew up celebrating in school when ever we are moving to the next class and it made us really happy because that's the only time we can to dance and act our little dramas, I don't really blame the governor too much because our time and now isn't the same anymore, the amount of money school owners extort from us are way too much and it affects some parents when they fail to pay for their kids and we all know how disturbing kids can be when they know that they aren't taking part in a school play. Instead of banning the celebration entirely I think the governor should have just reduced the amount of money parents pay to school owners to suit us the parents.

The assets you listed are all very reliable and trustworthy but I would prefer Bitcoin and real estate because I don't really know much about aGold and I also heard that Gold isn't very easy to buy. Real estate (land) is the next oil well after Bitcoin and I've seen its worth over the years and investing in real estate is a good investment plan, Bitcoin on the other hand may be volatile in nature but it is also a decentralized currency and it is even more valuable than real estate so yes Bitcoin is also a good investment plan for the future.

Re: Why would a Nigerian not want to use Bitcoin?
by
Anayochukwu
on 05/09/2025, 21:44:29 UTC
Old, young, middle- aged, what's stopping a typical Nigerian from using Bitcoin? Nigerians are resilient people, surely we'll jump at the chance if getting services at the least possible cost. Like the aformentioned question, could it be that they are not well educated about Bitcoins accessibility and flexibility? Like the common statement; na scam. Having been victims to schemes like; MMM and FOREX just to mention a few, dear surely would set in. Furthermore, could the strict regulations could be a discouraging factor. What could be more underlining factors?
The younger generation are beginning to accept Bitcoin, I mean like at us in the forum investing in Bitcoin because we know its worth more than the old age. Older people will find it difficult to understand it because they don't like trying out new things at their age anymore, the older people prefer the old things that they are used to while growing up hence the reason why they would never abandon fiat currency for Bitcoin currency and also with the rate of scam activity everywhere now telling them about Bitcoin sounds like you want to scam them.

Re: Politics is a dirty game.
by
Anayochukwu
on 05/09/2025, 21:38:21 UTC
The dirty game of Nigeria politicians is alarming.

I don't know if this topic has been discussed here before, but let's view it from a different perspective.

The coalition of different parties formed by Atiku and Peter Obi seems like a correction of their mistakes to me, because had this been done before the last election, I doubt if APC would have won the last election, because the last 2023 election's analysis for these three parties isn't far away from each other: APC was at 37%, PDP 29%, and LP 25%. Imagine if PDP and LP had merged then?

So the coalition of these parties will definitely put APC into a panic zone, but Tinubu is a very smart politician, because he will know where to come out for them; moreover, he owns the power now.

My questions now are:

*What has President Bola Tinubu done so far for the masses that will guarantee him to be reelected in the 2027 election?

*Would the coalition of these parties help the masses in terms of insecurity: armed robbery, banditry, and kidnappers?

Because we are not sure if the new ADC party will really help Nigeria to move forward, since the power is being recycled within themselves and is not tangible, so to say.

We pray for a better Nigeria.
I disagree with you OP for saying that politics is a dirty because I know it isn't a dirty game, is it those corrupt people involved in politics that are dirty and making it look like it isn't a genuine game. Nigeria have a long list of corrupt leaders and it will be very difficult to reset the system for good, and creating new parties isn't going to make the situation in the country better and it will continue to get worse until they decide to concentrate on pdp because PDP is recorded a lot of good leaders in the past and I believe they still have the potential to do so now. I thought it that tinubu will make it in his second half because he has done more bad than good and everyone in the country has seen that APC is a weapon fashioned against the country.

Re: Invest in bitcoin or save your money in the bank.
by
Anayochukwu
on 03/09/2025, 23:47:36 UTC
Me dey always talk an any investment or anything wey no go double my money, count me out my hand no dey I no follow. Now wetting go double my money I dey do no matter the risk wey dey inside an.

Normally investing in bitcoin or saving your money for bank get there own advantages and disadvantages, which I go list them here, so that you go chose wisely if you go take the risk grow your money, or you go carry give bank make them use an grow thereself from that bitcoin wey you dey fear to put money.

Advantages of investing in bitcoin
1, bitcoin get high potential returns, if you put your in bitcoin, bitcoin dey deliver, because ehh don already prove ehh self to be store of value.
2, bitcoin dey operate for wetting oyibo call network wey dey discentralize, so if you put you money inside ehh dey secure, person no go fit touch an.
3, bitcoin get limited supply, them no dey supply bitcoin anyhow, now wetting dey make an maintain ehh value bit that.
4, many countries don adopt bitcoin as their means of payment and store of value, so if you put your money in bitcoin everywhere good.

Disadvantages
1, Bitcoin get high risk, the price dey fluctuate rapidly and unpredictable oh, so ehh fit give you high blood pressure if you mind no reach.
2, bitcoin price go fit drop within a short period of time, that is to say you go fit put like 100k ehh fit drop to 60k or 70k and ehh fit make your BP raise if your mind no reach.
3, for bitcoin now you go scure your money by yourself, so if you lost your wallet key seeds now buy buy be that oh and person fit still steal your bitcoin from your wallet if you no scure an well.

Saving your money for bank advantages
1, for bank you go fit go collect your money anytime wey you need an no wahala.
2, bank get low risk, if you put your money inside bank  high blood pressure no go see you catch.
3, if you save your money for bank you fit dey see small small money.
4, bank get people wey you go go catch if anything do you money.

Disadvantages
1, Bank get low return, nothing dey come out if you put your money for bank, for example if you put 100k for bank for 6 years now only 500 naira fit be your top up.
2, bank go charge you fees for services and maintenance, that small top up wey bank give you, bank go still collect an back, and bank go still collect from your money too, which you loose bank go gain from your money wey you put.
3, bank go dey use your money dey investment for that bitcoin wey you dey fear, dey get massive profits with your money.

Invest in Bitcoin or save my money in the bank? I will do both, investing in Bitcoin doesn't mean that I would abandon our financial traditional bank because you can only pay for things easily with Fiat currency and that way you don't get interrupt your long term investment goal.

I think allowing a newbie to come to you for a full knowledge about Bitcoin is the best than you as a investor that has been into Bitcoin for a very long time to go to a newbie and introduce the Bitcoin to him, such a newbie will not take it seriously because he will be seeing that you have just introducing a scheme that him can't make quick profit out of it within a short period of time and such a newbie will surely ask this question that will him going to make money immediately if he eventually join Bitcoin and with such question on his mind he can't have the patient of waiting for so long in building up his Bitcoin portfolio but a newbie that has seen the evidence that you are really making it in life will be desperate to know the source of your income and he will baging for an update so that he can be like you and with such a newbie he will have all the mindset and patient just for him to learn all about Bitcoin and how it works, so my mates fee free to express your experience on which of the newbies that you think will be serious to learn and in building up his Bitcoin portfolio.
I'm still a newbie in this platform and I can say that you are very correct, newbie should be the one running to you to introduce them into Bitcoin investment and not the other way round. As a newbie if I hadn't seen this forum I would never believe my mentor about everything he said about Bitcoin as a store of value and honestly for a while I thought he was trying to scam me when he first approached me about Bitcoin. I really thought I was going to start making money immediately because I saw how comfortable he is living so I jump on it thinking I have already made it in life but I never knew that Bitcoin was a life long term goal and now that I know better I won't even think of approaching any newbie because it won't be easy.
